Good😂 morning Marie thank you for sharing at all times with your garlic try again you haven't fail you got something the old saying try and try until you succeed
So excited for you and your garlic. Don't give up try again. Here in New Jersey I plant my garlic in October because of the cooler months and I have had great success so plant more garlic. Have a blessed day.
Yes it's cold here, but if you plant in the cooler months garlic should grow. I live close to the Jersey shore and never had a problem even in our sometimes mild winters.
Yes please try again. Try using soft neck garlic which takes a shorter time to make head. That's what I read because I live in the tropical climate and would also like to give it a try. You inspire me. Thanks
We're in zone 8a with snow in winter ⛄️❄️☃️ and freezing temperatures ❄️ but garlic is also difficult to grow here. We grow in containers as well 🌱maybe that's the reason. Hey Marie 💕 soon you're going to have 30 000 subscribers. You're really doing a great job 👍🏼
Hi Marie The bulbs need about 3 months in the coldest part of your fridge before planting. I live in London and I have an allotment and garlic is a tough one. I’ve only ever had success once. I plant them between October and February and still not successful. You are doing great.
Definitely a learning experience. This happened to me the last time I grew garlic so now I am impatiently waiting for the 3-month mark to plant out mine. Not even sire if it's gonna be the best time to plant them but still gonna give it a go.
Yes try again and remember you got some before we are giving thank My garlic did not give me any thing. Lost year I am going to plant 🌱 some more garlic 🧄 soon. Well done 👍🏿 Marie 💯👍🏿🙏🏾
Good morning Marie 💐 it's a beautiful day and my dear gardening is not perfect we all learn as we go. And we learn from each other. God is with you and family my dear❤
You should put the garlic in the fridge for a couple months until they start to sprout then plant to an inch deep. When they grow and start to produce scape pick off the scape so the garlic can grow bigger in the soil. It takes about 9 months in total and when the lower leaves on the plant starts to dry pull up the garlic and leave everything to dry before cutting them off the plants. This helps to preserve them for longer storage. If the garlic stays too long in the ground it will rot and comes apart. Also they don't need a lot of water. When I plant my garlic I sometimes loose a lot due to too much moisture from the rain
Good morning Marie, Just wanted to let you know you’re doing an awesome job with the garden. I love watching at harvest time. All the beautiful rewards from your hard work stay strong. Keep on going. Don’t let anyone discourage you . I subscribe to other channel, but your channel is the only channel that I’ve ever commented on That’s a big deal happy growing. By the way, how can I send seeds to you? You are bless don’t let anyone steal your joy, thanks for sharing ❤
You’re a gem! I'm so happy you enjoy watching my garden. I'm glad I inspire! Please continue leaving your lovely comments. Will get back to you re the seeds when I figure it out
Don’t give up. Some times the Lord wants us to be patient. We win some we lose some. Perseverance is the key. If you tried once and you don’t succeed try again.
Love your videos. I am in Australia and we have stink bugs that attack our citrus but not any other plant. We do have fruit fly that attack tomatoes and any fruit that I grow. The way I keep them off my tomatoes is to put little net bags on the tomatoes. The stink bugs on our citrus are awful and I have to pull them off by gloved hands I just love your garden you do amazingly well. Thank you for showing us. Do you have snakes. The main ones that find my garden are red belly black and the very dangerous brown snake.
😊❤sending you love and light Marie ...you sure had me laughing this morning...I have also planted garlic well I am yet to see what happens if at all any do happen....I would be laughing at myself to😊. You are a master at growing onions. Now you just have to master garlic I was just wondering if you get seeds from the same place where you have gotten the onions, maybe you might just be successful..just a thought ❤
@FarmingOnTheRocks ok 👌I wish you all the best . My bad Marie it don't have garlic seeds only bulbs 😂 different types as for us here in the tropic they say we should grow soft neck garlic..
Far as the garden goes, I think your climate is going to be too warm for it unless you pick a different type. Maybe some Elephant Garlic...Or, you possibly could try some Leeks or Shallots. But I love your attitude towards it because something is always better than nothing. So many folks would just throw away what they did receive and give up. I always feel happy to have got something in return for my efforts. Even if it's not much, we got something back. Do you grow any Potatoes? I bet in your Climate they would do amazing.
For the bugs on the tomato plants ( and others) what i did was to use a piece of strong tape like the cello tape, duct tape etc, and put it against the bugs on the plants to trap them onto it, start doing it at the first sight of the bugs, and trust me you'll see a great reduction in the population. Using the tape goes fairly fast, its not all that time consuming, especially, when you're consistent. All the best!
You just have to plant more in order to reap a better harvest. All ihat i have read concerning the vernalization period states 6-8 weeks. And stipulates planting in October fòr June harvest or January for a september harvest. Maybe we can play the role of observers and tweek the growing cycle to suit our climatic conditions.
I wouldn't call it a semi fail, it is a small victory. You got something out of what you planted. I on the other hand lost all 41 heads of garlic through drowning in the heavy rains. Continue to plant them even if what you get is uni bulbs at least you know what you are getting.
Wait, wait, wait...I thought garlic was 9months. I don't think it's the vernalization, you just need to leave them longer...wonder if you can replant.?
@FarmingOnTheRocks I would count this as a success 🙌 cuz they were doing what they should and the vernalization was OK cause they grew from the start. Just needed more time.
Faith can move mountain my dear Marie.small or large wonderful it's your handy work u win some u lose some try again don't give up God don't give up on us so give thanks for small mercies try a gain.❤
I planted some garlic September and don’t know if I will be getting a harvest in the Summertime. The leaves are wilted and most are dead from the snow storm. Will see! 🧄 ❤
Don’t give up. Some times the Lord wants us to be patient. We win some we lose some. Perseverance is the key. If you tried once and you don’t succeed try again.

Yes it's cold here, but if you plant in the cooler months garlic should grow. I live close to the Jersey shore and never had a problem even in our sometimes mild winters.

Good evening miss Marie I think you should give it another try probably next time it will be better
I will!

Try it again. Some people plant it and then cover it and it spring up faster too.
The spring up fast. The cloves just not separating

Ok
Hello Maria please sen mi to in Canada
Absolutely ☺️
@FarmingOnTheRocks thanks so much
Try again, but you have to plant the largest garlic cloves you can get.
Thank you 💓
Try the garlic again
I will
Why do you put the garlic in the fridge before you plant them
Vernalization
Wait, wait, wait...I thought garlic was 9months. I don't think it's the vernalization, you just need to leave them longer...wonder if you can replant.?
Didn't you see they were drying off and rotting? I did put the correct time period to harvest on the screen
@FarmingOnTheRocks I would count this as a success 🙌 cuz they were doing what they should and the vernalization was OK cause they grew from the start. Just needed more time.
Something was causing them to rot
Oh..maybe was all the rain the other day.
Try again
I will
You should not make the tomatoes ripe on the tree
Why not?
Faith can move mountain my dear Marie.small or large wonderful it's your handy work u win some u lose some try again don't give up God don't give up on us so give thanks for small mercies try a gain.❤
You are right

Stop saying pestilence . Pestilence is a disease, not bugs.😊
Come back later, let's talk about Moses and Pharaoh
They are pestilence
I planted some garlic September and don’t know if I will be getting a harvest in the Summertime. The leaves are wilted and most are dead from the snow storm. Will see! 🧄 ❤
That's so tough, hope you get a harvest anyway!
Don’t give up. Some times the Lord wants us to be patient. We win some we lose some. Perseverance is the key. If you tried once and you don’t succeed try again.
Appreciate it 🙏
Good morning Marie. It's a learning experience.

Yes, I'll try again soon.
