    Thats right Marie, thats why we don't use chemical fertilizers in our garden.
    What you are doing is called composting insitue or at the site.

    Absolutely. Way too many folks look at the plant instead of concentrating on the soil. Especially when they start from seed. The soil Temperature is far more important than the air temperature. Same goes for feeding. You feed the soil, so it can be up to top notch nutrients which in turn feed the plant.

    Agreed. Too much runoff from excess artificial fertilizers can be bad. I love using foliar sprays on my plants too. 😊

    Wormcastings, leaves, rabbit and chicken manure is really great for the soil. I have only access to kitchen scraps, leaves and wormcastigs. Last week I was so lucky to get a whole sack of coffee grounds from a restaurant. That is also a nice fertilizer but I first have to dry it.

    I'm gonna send you an email showing you my worm bin. It is easy to make providing that you can get some composting worms. I have red wigglers in my vermicomposting system and they are so easy to take care of. They are kinda like the rabbits tbh. Give them moisture, food scraps, and a dark place and they will give you black gold in no time.
