Drew is truly a class act. This should be an eye opener, that with speed and one's search for speed...does bring it to picture its own unique complications; hence the type of equipment available to you and having access to an individual that can truly address your club needs. There are very few individuals within the fitting world like Ian and TXG.
Excellent segment. Drew is first class all the way. Consider making him a regular part of the program. He has added a ton to the channel.🙏👍☝️🔥🔥💯💯🙌🙌✊✊💪💪👏👏👏
Great video guys. Everyone loves a WITB. Can the G series shaft can be used in a driver? LA Golf class this as a 'wood' shaft and neither Dj, Bryson, or Drew play the most premium shaft option in their driver, which seems interesting. I'm going to try all the LA golf shafts in a fitting soon and obviously would love to try the G series in my driver if that's an option, but there doesn't seem to be any reviews on the G sereis.
All wedge the same length, do you find that your swing weight increases significantly as you get towards your 60degree wedge with a PW length? Plus wouldn't your PW also be longer than standard?
I'm basically the antithesis of Drew. 5'10, short arms, 100-105 club head speed, hit the ball pretty low/low spin and struggle to keep the ball in the air long enough. Everything he set his bag up to do mine is set up to do the opposite lol.
I'm 5'8 but I'm got a 135 mph swing speed average not going full out. I have hit 140 before with my playing driver. My LD driver I'm 142mph but I've hit 146mph.
@@D_cooper86 Very curious about the upcoming graphite vs steel video with you. On the surface doesn't make sense these relatively light and soft LA shafts should work better than the super stiff and fairly heavy LS 7.0s
@@nicklaus4512 I just recently picked up a set of used Mizuno clubs with LAGP L series iron shafts in their 5 flex and they feel really smooth. Only bought them to test the shafts because I couldn't find much info either. Liked them so much I just ordered a new set of the L Series for some Adams MB2 irons and will probably put the same in my ZX7 irons. Have their Trono shaft in one driver and the DJ shaft in another that I really liked so I wanted to test the L Series and am glad I did. Hopefully you can get your hands on one (or a set) to try.
@@jessehughes3877 I scoured golf WRX some more and after one or two more rave reviews here I caved and got the L series (4) in irons and even got the wedge shafts too. Had two rounds with them so far and 100% agreed, so smooth and so good, I’m thinking of doing similar to you and getting them in other set. Glad it both paid off for us!
@@jessehughes3877 Love them, I got regular on PW-52 and the WV 3.5 on SW and LW. I played stiff LZ 6.0’s in irons and 5.5’s in my Sand and Lob before so I’d say it was something I’ve been used to and like the feel of. Gives me some feel of shaft on those less than full shots. Just that classic super smooth LA Golf feel. Would love to see the wedge shaft review by Ian and see if any slight differences beyond feel.
Really wish I had an opportunity to sit down and talk with Drew. I’m a similar guy, ex baseball player that has played golf my whole life and have lots of speed. I cruise around 190-195 ball speed on a solid day, it’s hard for me to go somewhere to get fit and find what I need. Like Drew, I like feel in my equipment and not swing your typical heavy/stiff stuff. Great video.
Just wondering, what’s up with the Ping cap if is entire bag (including the bag) is Taylor Made. I thought at first that it was for is putter but, nope
I've been looking to add a 46° MG3 to my set but have only seen down to 50 in the black finish at my usual online retailers. I have the 50/54/58 and absolutely adore them so if someone could point me towards where to pick up the 46 in black that would be amazing!
As of right now, taylormade does not make a 46 degree black finish wedge. I would think the SM9 would be very comparable if you really desire the black finish of the MG3.
Love it, another guy using the mini driver as a "fairway wood". I have the 13.5 and I love this thing as a 3 wood/replacement driver when the big stick is acting swirly off the tee
@Ian - great video. I’m a NGG client and would love to have heard a little bit more on how you approach loft gapping in the mid-long irons for the stronger player. We’re they all 1* strong through the set?
Great content here. I check out a little on WITBs when the person is so obviously sponsored by a single company but never the less the details on why he uses certain clubs is interesting. Funny observation: Drew has 14 TM clubs ...and a Ping hat. 😏
I’m not sponsored actually. Make no money from anything in my bag. I had free stuff from Mitsubishi that I loved as well but the LA Golf stuff has just beat it out *for me, so far*
Interesting that Drew, Mac and Mike (at least at one point) have/had mini driver in the bag. I'm in love with the TM 300 mini and have it in both 11.5 and 13.5, and sometimes play both, with one set at 10.00 (fade-biased driver) and the other at 13.5 (draw-biased fairway).
This might be the most expensive witb I’ve ever seen. A $1400 mini driver. Autoflex is going to loose it’s position on the wall as the most expensive shaft.
Seems like a really nice guy. A welcome addition to the TXG team. His swing is fantastic and extremely fast. Good luck, Drew in your endeavors.

Drew is a great addition to the team, can’t wait to see more content with him
He is gonna work at/with TXG now?
Man, what a guy. I love just listening to Drew. Super humble and down to earth guy. Pretty decent swing too. Super classy guy.

I'm really enjoying the videos with Drew. He seems very down to earth also. I'm sure he wouldn't say it but he makes the golf swing look effortless.

Drew is a monster. But with the Ping hat I thought he’d have something Ping lol
Their hats are super comfortable!
Awesome to see drew on the team, man can bomb it and is a wealth of knowledge
Drew is so cool. Best swing I have ever seen for speed he generates. Let's see what he does with AUTOFLEX!
TEAM SWAG FTW
nice set up Drew
All wedge the same length, do you find that your swing weight increases significantly as you get towards your 60degree wedge with a PW length? Plus wouldn't your PW also be longer than standard?
Yeah pretty sure everything is the length of the 9 iron. Swing weight definitely would jump on the sw & lw
It's lovely, I have the same thing. Hardly noticeable on SW. It's a little finiky w/ yardage/gapping but it's great for short game 😃

Love the Cal Club driver head cover!
You and me both!
Best course in NorCal!
What are the iron and wedge shafts? L-series?
L Series. The wedge is the “wedge specific” L Series
@@D_cooper86 Is it just the 5 flex that they sell on the website, or have they made a special "extra extra stiff" version for you?
@@freddym6643 yes sir. As far as I know everything is right off the site

Would love to see an mmt vs la golf vs Accra iron test - ultra premium super stiff graphite comparison at his speed
Agreed, have MMT and really nothing out there on LA Golf shafts so it’s hard to decide. Huge review opportunity for TXG

Most comfortable hat I can find for my giant, weird shaped head
What weight is the shaft on the Stealth?
It makes me laugh when we're talking about 135-140 CLUB head speed when most people are trying to get there on ball speed 🤣
Def was expecting Atleast one ping club with the ping hat. Weird flex. Sick content
I want to know where the sim2 udi gets played
Half inch overlength irons?

Speeder Evo 2 kicks like a mule so I'd imagine this shaft is very similar
Give Drew an Autoflex next time and see what happens =)
Ridiculous how straight he hits the driver at that speed.
Is the lighter, softer, longer way something that is more "correct" for high speed players looking for more control, or is Drew really an anomaly?
Anomaly

That 343 yd carry

Think you need a taller tripod. 😝
too much talking....
