Useful video. I have an Impressa C9 and was getting an error 2. Replaced the thermoblock sensor and that fixed the problem. To open the case you'll need an oval head socket which you can get from Jura Parts for about $8 USD. You'll also need at 15 Torx for the case and a 25 Torx to remove the sensor from the thermoblock.
Hi Vet first thank you for your service I will put a Vet first every time! Retired out it myself 22 years I saw your RUclips videos and purchased your rubber gasket pack with the oval driver. Question, I did the whole shebang and I don’t know what I did wrong but the slider in the front that adjusts for espresso and larger won’t go up far enough to put the tray back in what did I do wrong? Thanks for taking on the big dogs my brother I’ll back you every step of the way!
Ummm, the bolts on the back of my Jura C5 have no slot, oval or otherwise. The top is completely flat, and the outside is completely round. How the heck do you get them off?
@@emilythechef Mine was refurbished, too. (Believe it or not, we found it at a thrift store for $35.) How the heck are you supposed to get those screws off? I know they come off, because when we had it refurbished, we had to send it back a couple of times to get everything fixed.
I watched another video and was able to get the screws out! I used pliers that were more like nippers, and squeezed them right and cranked the screws out. I ruined/scratched the back panel doing so, but that's ok.
I took apart my Impress C9 because it was pouring coffee out the up/down tab & not the holes. Turns out the entire pipe element was completely clogged with coffee build up. You need to take apart the faceplate, remove the 6 screws at the back of the faceplate and remove the entire front pipe assembly. It then comes apart. Make sure when you put it back together you align the up & down mechanism with the pipes, otherwise it will not be right.
@Jura parts, Hey, I need some help, Do you by chance know how to stop the coffee spout from leaking? Coffee spills out from the white plastic piece above the coffee spout, and does not go through the 2 silver pipes. I've tried to poke a small hole with a needle to start the flow again, that worked for 1 use, and now it is clogged again. I have a Impressa C60/65. Thanks for your help.
tatstarone I've found a temporary fix, inside the pipes was apperently some raw grounds that got clogged. I used some thin metal pliers to pull out everything inside. In doing so, I found that the valve inside was jammed with coffee grounds. Clearing it out seems to have fixed it for now.
Andrewx8 88 thanks for that. However I've decided to give it to jura for a service. first service after 10 years! costing me £199 pounds (I'm in uk). For that price they will service it and replace any parts. I think it's a ok price.
Hi there, any chance you could post a video of how to get into a Jura E60? I have one returning 'Error Code 2' which appears to have a number of potential easy-fixes, but the casing is different to the one in your video and prising at plastic clips scares me! I've undone all visible Torx, but nothing seems to be freely movable. I'd be greatly appreciative if you could strip one down for me and post the video.....Fingers crossed
There is no need to remove the water and bean lids, this only risks breaking the clips and is unecessary in the opening of a Jura. The top will come right off with the lids attached. Once you remove the oval head screws, you can replace them with torx, phillips or slot head screws. You need to find screws of a similar diameter, length and pitch. It makes future dismantling easier.
Thank you for your comment. No, it is not a necessity to remove the bean hopper lid or water tank lid to remove the side panels, as the entire top cover can be removed, in tact. We at Jura-Parts.com do not take shortcuts; we do all work to the greatest extent, and in doing so, we have found that machines being repaired and cleaned with care and consideration makes for longer lifespans. The Jura coffee machine client base that fixes his own machine has a higher technical ability that unclipping two lids is not so much of a great feat. The risk of the lid clips snapping is greater when leaving them attached while removing the two T15 Torx screws by accidental contact. In addition, it invites the temptation to remove the top cover by pulling up on the lids, rather than the top cover, which will easily snap the clips, so we advise to remove these two lids prior to removing the Torx screws. On another note, instead of replacing the screws, it would behove a client to use a container to hold the oval head screws to reduce the chance of losing them. Replacing the screws with non-OEM "torx, phillips or slot head screws" may lead to more problems with the operation of the machine. The top cover is secured atop the bean hopper, which directly funnels into the grinder. The bean hopper contains two gaskets that fit to the top cover to reduce noise and vibration during the grind process. If non-OEM screws are used to secure the top cover, then the machine may not perform at its optimal level. Higher vibration levels may force an excess amount of beans into the grinder at a faster rate than the grinder is capable of handling, causing the grinder to jam. Swiss made products are manufactured with precise mm measurements and parts in the United States are not comparable. To summarize, if you want your $1,000+ Jura coffee machine to operate like it should, do not take shortcuts.
This is the second time I've had to watch this in the past few years. Thank you for this helpful video!

Where can I find an oval head screwdriver bit?
Anyone know the screw thread size for the oval screws if it's possible to replace them with a regular philips?

Mine too! Did you figure this out? Mine was a refurbished machine, I was wondering if that’s why they’re different?
