I like them a lot. I going with the MY Baja boss A/T. 3 ply sidewall’s instead of 2 ply. More aggressive. But if you’re not going off road much, you made the right decision.
So far they have been great! They are a bit noisier than the ko2, but it still isn't much. I fully expected that based on the tread pattern. Expect a review coming soon!
a few question how is the ride & noise compare to BFG KO2? Also did you look at the MT Baja Boss AT comparing the two tires why did you go with the EXP? do you think the EXP is less road noise and better ride then the Baja Boss AT ?
The road noise is louder than with the KO2's. They were virtually silent for me. These Mickey's have a little hum to them at highway speeds, but still totally reasonable where most passengers wouldn't even know. I did look at the Baja boss AT as well. I actually like the tread design on the boss more, but at the time, the boss was on backorder with no ETA. I think the boss would have been quieter than the EXP, due to the EXP having bigger lugs and larger voids between the lugs. Although, I have no experience with the boss. One benefit to the EXP is that it is 8lbs lighter than the boss in the size I chose. I was rather torn between the two tires as there are benefits with either one. I think both are a good choice. Although I went with the EXP because it was available and the boss was not, I'm very happy with the EXP so far.

Nice truck!! Just ordered the same tires and size. On the Mickey Thompson site they say the 305/70/18 are pretty much 35/12.5. I guess you just proved them right with the comparison to the 315s. 😁
Right, I would have gone with either size but the 35 was on backorder at the time, so I got the 305. The only difference is the 305 is load range E and the 35 is load range D if I remember correctly. Thanks for watching!!

hi thanks for the video im thinking pushing the button on these tires. can you give me your opion on wet trackion please. currently running falken wild peak at3
I can't say that I have really driven through a pounding downpour with the tires, but I have not had any issues with them in the rain I have driven in. With deep lugs and plenty of space in between them, I think they should shed water easily. But, they are not 3 peak mountain snow rated like the wildpeak AT3 and do not have as many sipes, so that is something to consider.
Thanks for the comment! I have not tried them in the snow. Since the factory KO2's are 3 peak mtn snowflake rated, I have swapped those on the stock wheels back on for the winters.
@@gearzgadgets5872 Yeah, understandable. I am debating between the Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT, or these Legend EXP’s. Absolutely love white lettering out, so leaning towards the EXP’s, but I do encounter quite a bit of snow over the winter….
@@PQR5CHE I would think the EXPs would do alright in the snow, but likely not as good as the Boss's as they again are 3 peak mtn snowflake rated like the KO2's. They certainly have more siping as well.
They have a little more road noise than the KO2, but overall still not too bad for how aggressive and spaced apart the lugs are. If the KO2 is about 4/10 for noise, I would rate these Baja Legend EXPs at 5.5/10. I towed our camper with the Raptor over the weekend, and no one in my family complained or really even noticed the slight increase in road noise over the KO2.

Mine is only the 800A package which does not allow you to order the applique. I like the look either way. But, I have considered adding black vinyl in the same area as the applique would be.
Yeah, once mounted and air'd up they were 1/2" smaller diameter and 3/4" narrower than the stock BFG's. I noticed while removing the stocks and installing the territory's but bolted them on anyway. I drove it for two days but was unhappy with how they looked so I sold them to a guy with a regular F-150 on a 4" lift. I have noticed that many dealers are sticking the Territory's on used Raptors lately. They were one of the cheapest tires available in the 315/70R17 size (I paid $269 per tire) so I'm sure that's why dealers are throwing them on used trucks. While browsing used Raptors on the Internet to look at different tires before I picked out these Mickey Thompson's I noticed several with the Territory's. They looked small in the pictures too.
They are great. They do have a slight hum at highway speeds, but only noticeable in total silence. I would say they make less noise than I expected for the aggressive tread pattern with pretty large voids between the tread blocks. On the road, they handle better than the KO2s, likely due to the increased sidewall stiffness, without really any noticeable change to the ride harshness. I am very happy with them so far.
I really have not noticed any difference in the ride with the Mickey Thompson's. There is a bit more road noise at 55mph+ than with the factory tires. Not a significant amount louder tho, still well within reason. I only notice because I don't generally listen to any audio while driving.
@@matthewbergeron1251 yep I'm very happy with them. I put the stock wheels and KO2's back on for winter, but the Mickey's will be going back on in about 2 months.
@@gearzgadgets5872 i have these but haven't put them on yet. I'll be switching over from all seasons and they'll only be about 3-4lbs heavier per tire but I know I'll lose a bit with the more agressive tread. @@jamesnm21 overall I am quite happy with the setup. Rotating mass certainly could effect efficiency and performance, but I don't think a couple pounds will make much difference. There is extra noise with the aggressive tread as compared to stock, but it is minimal
