    It’s really amazing how well some of the Bach works have aged. He planted the seeds for so many great composers like Chopin and Mozart to come into existence.

      Yes, Bach influenced several composers, and it's so amazing how that led to composers creating different classical music styles.

    The G-major opening ‘strings only’ allegro from Brandenburg #3 was actually a direct note for note borrowing/adaptation by J. S. Bach himself of the larger fuller Sinfonia from the Church Cantata 174 compos’d 8 years prior at the age of 25 with a larger contingent of wind & brass instruments - the Klavier reduction simply does not do Justice to the majestical Elan of the original …

    Goldberg variations played by Glenn Gould! I think if you look for both names, "Bach & Gould" you find much more views for some pieces. Bach was great, the father of music...

      Of course it is. Bach wrote absolute music that isn't specific to being played only one way. Because it's absolute in itself.

    The Toccata & Fugue in D minor is over played. Some of the pieces presented here can NOT be truly done on a solo instrument like a piano.

    bach is definitely my least favorite composer. all of the songs are so basic and all sound similar. why listen to bach instead of romantical or late classic its so much better
