You re absolutely right. Some are contemporary images oh his . Some are made after his death with much phantasy I would say. And one or two seemed to me pictures of other musicians, C. M v. Weber for example or Menelssohn.
It's definitely one of the best. I suggest you to give a listen to Sonata no. 2, as played by Josef Hoffman. I think you might like it, and it's my favourite.

Fun fact about the waltz in A minor: Did you know that this piece "wasn't" wrote by Chopin? I mean... partly it was! Anyway, the left hand of this piece does not sound like chopin's left hands and that's curious, long story short, Chopin really made the melody, but the harmony was made by his student, Charlotte de Rothschild! Her asked him to write a melody and so he did. Her used his melody and published four pieces for piano, taking all the credits. After Chopin's death we know that is a "half" chopin piece

Ballade No 1 is my absolute favourite Chopin composition... of anyones composition, to be honest. Next is the Fantasie Impromptu, followed by the Revolutionary Etude. I also love Nocturnes Op 9 No 1 and Op 9 No 2. Etude Op 10 No 3 is one of Chopins finest melodies. And finally, I love listening to the Raindrop Prelude.

There is no such thing as "13rd" or "12nd" or "11st" in English. All numbers between 4 and 20 use "th".
Absolutely love this, but Heroic Polonaise has to be closer to number 1.
