Those one foot blasts are amazing.
you can see his left calf. however i'm not sure whether it's responsible for bass or hi-hat. anyways, he is amazing, he plays this and smiles at the same time. i tried to play ruptured in purulence intro bass patter on school drums, it had only one bass drum (i mean pedal), crash was fucked up and i couldn't coordinate hitting ride cymbal, snare and bass (but i'm a bassist, not a drummer). Dan is just a really talented drummer, end of story

baax after reading my comment, I see how it can be misconstrued. Just for clarification to everyone, I wasn't trying to bash Dan and yes he is doing a fantastic job. It just sucks that these pinnacle songs can't be performed by the original drummer. Ken was one of my favorite drummers growing up. At least I had the opportunity to see him play twice. Thanks for the polite response Baax!
I know Ken personally and will be seeing him Christmas day, I'll make sure to pass on such a nice comment. Dan does as excellent job, he and Ken get on brilliantly and Ken is happy someone of Dan's skill is filling his shoes.... that said I always loved seeing Ken blast his way through Reek.
@@darrenrichardson3976 I speak with Carlo regularly ironically enough. Guess he and the rest of the lads aren't on the greatest terms. Oh well, still a great band
