TRIP REPORT | 27 hours to Santo Domingo! | KLM B787 & DELTA | Vienna to Santo Domingo (via New York)

- KLM & Delta Trip Report on a mega trip from Vienna to Santo Domingo (in the Dominican Republic) via Amsterdam and New York JFK airport, flying a KLM Boeing B787-10 Dreamliner, a KLM Boeing 737-800W, and a Delta Airlines Boeing 737-900S.
A 27 hours amazing trip to cover more than 9000 km flying to the Dominican Republic (also known as paradise :) ). We finished the trip exhausted but it was more than worth it. This was my first time flying long-haul with KLM and, of course, it's the first KLM Trip Report flying a long-haul route in the channel. Also, this was the first time in my life that I was in New York and in Santo Domingo. Lots of new things for the channel in this video.
Once in New York, we had a layover of 3 hours before our connecting flight to Santo Domingo with Delta, flying this time on a Boeing 737-900S. As this was a completely night-time flight, I just included the most iconic moments of it. Also, in New York JFK, we made a very nice planespotting session, with lots of planes that we are not used to watch on the channel (but that we'll see a lot in the next months!).
Don't worry about the length of this video: this is an exception. I wanted to show in this Trip Report the experience of a 3 flights-trip in just one video. This won't be the standard length of the videos. But, as you can see, this was the minimum length to be able to show a minimum level of detail. Hope you will enjoy it!

The first flight was surprisingly full although it was an early flight. The B787-10 was superb. After 2 flights, you must have been very tired; and I really appreciate that you did capture the 3rd flight.

You videos are awesome! I love the format you use: showing from your perspective as the passenger. I feel like I'm there travelling, thank you! 😊 It's interesting to notice how some passengers around you are quieter or louder, depending on the country you're taking off from. Tbe Dutch are loud, Eastern Europeans are quieter..well at least in my opinion. I'm curious: do sleep a night or 2 in the destinations or do you fly right back to your hometown?

Thank you for these most interesting flights. All the take-offs seemed very quiet, due no doubt to your seat position. The KLM flight from Vienna was clearly the busiest, and the 787 to JFK was not particularly full, for such a popular destination. I trust you had a wonderful holiday !

That's correct, the 787 was around 50% and then, the Delta flight was almost empty, except the First class section, which was 100% haha I guess they almost reached breakeven just with those seats :D

La verdad es que el servicio a bordo de Delta en un vuelo de más de 3 horas fue muy lamentable.
Assim estará obrigado por dar uma parada em nova iorque a seguir pegar um outro vôo como Boeing 737 923 da companhia delta air line de destino ao santo domingo

In December 2006 I was in Punta Cana for 1 week...5***** Hotel, All in, ☀️30°😎 it was fantastic!
I flew with Continental B733 from MIA 1st to SJU and than with American Eagle ATR72 to PUJ✌️

Mate, I went to Santo Domingo in 2022. I used to complain about the heat in New York, but as soon as I stepped out of that airport, I was already sweating. (EDIT was on an Airbus a320 jetBlue)

Enjoyed watching this trip report ! I liked the extra information you gave about other aircraft on the stands at each airport.
The KLM service seemed pretty good. I know airlines in the US have very limited service in economy on domestic flights, but even so Santo Domingo isn't a domestic route and that snack offering was pretty poor for a 3 hour flight 😂

You are right. It's great that the airports are full again after two years of pandemic. The trip report is like all very good. And I like flights with one or more stops. There is a great number of long-haul flights in JFK. On my last flight slept also everyone because it started at 6am.

Great trip report
I travelled from Beira, Mozambique to Karachi, Pakistan on 3 different flights! It was from Beira to Addis Ababa, Addis Ababa to Muscat and from Muscat to Karachi. In total it took 12 hours and 20 minutes to travel from Beira to Karachi! We also had a 17 hrs stay in Muscat. So if i add the stay the time will be 28 hours 20 minutes!!

Felicitaciones tremendo y largo viaje, pero cuando se trabaja de corazón no importa las horas, me gusta muchos como explicas de los vuelos q están por salir al mismo tiempo q el tuyo y a la compañía q pertenecen la comida de KLM se vio q estaba muy rica, el último vuelo nada q ver con el servicio, pero bueno hasta el próximo.✈️
