This video was randomly put on my feed. I'm very happy with watching it. I'm not sure how to explain, exactly... But, you sound very professional. I think that's the best way I put it. Your lighting, techniques, etc are all good... But, most of all, you *sound* professional. You know what you're saying, and your sound quality is just perfect. I'll be subscribing and going back through your previous videos. :) You're a breath of fresh air in the mini painting sphere.
@@DarcyBonoCreations the internet has ruined us both, Darcy! First, I was shocked someone said something so nice, then you thought I was being sarcastic!
Watched about 10 or so speedpaining tutorials for Flesh Eater Courts. Yours is by far the easist and best looking. I will be stealing this meathod for mine. Thanks for creating this content.
You are the reason i've decided to pick up my brushes and jump straight into the tunnel of miniature painting once again.. and i have to thank you. This color scheme fits well for a rotting nurgle's army. One of my best subscription for sure. Keep up the great work.
Oh and if you haven't seen it yet, and you plan on painting Nurgle, I have an older tutorial on some gross basing: ruclips.net/video/b3T-z0Vn3r8/видео.htmlsi=whFejo9CICK12tP-
Think the Morgaunt color scheme for FEC can be pulled off with this style? If so, I would greatly appreciate some possible contrast paints option suggestions. Love your painting videos because you make the minis look amazing, but with so much “easier”application styles and far less paints needed than a lot of other people’s vids I’ve looked at❤
What a shame Army Painter discontinued their Mid Brown wash as it does not appear in Fanatic line. I liked it a lot as wel. Supposedly Sepia Tone is it's continuation, but I mont so sure colour and saturation is the same as old Mid Brown.
What!? Holy crap I'm glad you told me! I love that color. I use it for skin and for bronze/golds! It had just the right amount of red in it. You can make a similar wash with other burgundy and brown washes, but it was such an easy one and done way of doing it...and the gloss finish was perfect for blood.
@@DarcyBonoCreations Yeah, I like it very much. Perfect for fur, orc boars and beastmen as well. Looks like we both need to grab some bottles that are still in game stores. Maybe it'll be easier to mix something with Sepia and Rust Fanatic washes when shops run out with Mid Brown but it needs more research.
@@DarcyBonoCreations I spent over a decade working for a Paint Company and I don't think we had a word for that either. Although when it comes to house paint, you generally don't want that sort of blending. Or maybe you do, it's your house. Keep up the great work.
Wet look? They've got a satin finish, but in this case the shine on the model is caused by the gloss Varnish, the Army Painter shade and even Carroburg Crimson. Most of my work is with primarily Contrast and they all look reasonably dry 😄 A few examples: www.reddit.com/r/ageofsigmar/s/idxWfOb8IE instagram.com/p/C0WSL1YtI-8/?igshid=MzY1NDJmNzMyNQ==
Looks amazingly gross! I want to try this, though I'll have to substitute AP Speedpaints as I do t have GW Contrast.
👍👍 Absolutely love this! I'm seeing this really working for my Tyranids!
Thanks! Now that you mention it...it has a lot in common with my Neurolictor tutorial 😅

Hope you enjoy the rest as much as this one.
@@DarcyBonoCreations that was nice feedback, eh? I'm in shock.
I'm sorry, what? Having a professional narration is something I strive for, so I was happy to hear it was appreciated 🤷♀️

I was just confused by the entire comment 😅. We're good!
extreme happy trail has me rollling lol This looks great! Very useful I'll probably be using it for my Cursed City minis I *still* haven't painted
Same here! I was thinking not too many folks caught that reference. Great stuff Darcy.
Amazing techniques! Definitely going to be trying some of these soon.
Incredible paint scheme, I may have to steal this for when my new flesh eater set comes!
Thanks! It's not stealing if it's free 😉
Well this is very nice. Perfect use of speed paints.

Hello! I like the way you use skeleton horde and gryphcharger to get this decomposed green. Your mixings are awesome!
This is such an incredible tutorial! Thank you so much for uploading.
Thanks a bunch. I'm painting some zombicide minature and this will help.
Interesting. Some things I'll have to try there
great guid, ive followed this for skintone on a few projects, and about to apply it to my kroot. in some cases i sponged on the gryph charger contrast
I’ve struggled making blood and gore to look real-ish. Can’t wait to try these tips!
I also have this video as well. It's similar but more specific about blood.

Love this effect but I’m curious what you’d suggest for the vampires of the courts
Desaturation? Is that a better word?
Yes, but it's more than just desaturating the color. It makes it flow outwards too.

@ryanminor1069 I'll have to ask some water color artists, they probably have a word for it 😄. And thanks so much! Glad you liked it.
Oops, I missed this one, rectified, liked and commented for the Algorithm gods
As much as I appreciate contrast paints making things easier for painters the wet look after turns me off.
