Hey brother, I was looking at a 1999 zr2 with 221,000 miles on it but has some new parts on it like rebuilt front end, new control arms, ball joints, inner and outer tire rods & new brakes and rotors. Do you think it would be a good buy for $1,500 with that many miles on it? How long do they typically last?
Aldo Velazco thanks. Didn’t end up keeping this truck long. Was a good little starter truck for smaller people. Other than that I did the exhaust to be different
Since it's an older video I may not get a reply. But how are those coil overs? Some people where I live had them installed and they started leaking within a year. So I'm not sure if I should get them or not.
Roa Barton what you mean. I always get a reply lol. Had them on this truck and I have them on my white truck in my last eat video. 1988 gmc k3500. Never had a problem with them
Hey man, Im looking for a cheap 4x4 truck to launch a 22inch river boat. With trailer and gear it'll approach 3k lbs. Would a 2001 ZR2 handle that up and down a wet ramp? Should i be worried about braking? Any chance youve done any towing in yours? Thanks, PEACE
Havnt It would definitely tow it. Ied definitely make sure you load the gear right, so not to much tongue weight. Plus with ZR2’s being 4x4, worst come to worst you have to put it in 4 wheel drive. Then you always have the free insurance of 4L
I just now noticed that you have the same helper springs on it just the same as mine cuz it sags really bad on the driver side because of the gas tank. Lol
I have a 2001 gmc sonoma sls im fixing up its black on black right now. Great truck
Do you have the links where you got your parts for everything
I got my 1996 Sonoma up north in Canada at a gas station car sales place and even after sitting there for years it only has slight surface rust

These things run forever, worse case a 4.3 isn’t but 2-300$ maybe? Affordable in the worst case
Awesome truck, love that side exhaust!

I have the same wheels did you paint them?? Cuz I've been debating on whether or not to do mine.
Walter Steffens They are plastidiped. It’s pretty cheap, and it holds up pretty well. My center caps are just a little scuffed from rotating tires.
Tire size ?
Ugh…..😅 33’s? Lol
i prefer the sonoma hood over the s10 hood.
Still driving mine at 150k, purrs like a kitten,4.3 sls
Where’d you find this truck, I’ve been looking for a truck and I can’t find a 2002 Sonoma anywhere
JustOakWren Facebook market place my friend. There all over where I live.
What inch suspension lift do you have
All stock. ZR2 still 3” higher from factory
