Was hoping you guys would review this one. Was thinking about picking up a 12-pack but now I'll definitely pass. Had high hopes for the regular version. Thanks so much.
Great review! I think where this all fell short is there was such a buildup of this product over several months that people were really expecting something great and just got something that's not bad and has its place but isn't mind-blowing
Yay, you ended up getting it! Thanks for reviewing them! I'm one of those that likes to try different zero sugar flavors, not sure if I'll splurge on this one though.
We really liked it (big fans of the Canada Dry Cranberry Ginger Ale as well), and thought it tastes kind of like cherry 7up! Love the review even if we're in the minority in liking it I think lol
I agree with these “deals”. In Canada it gets incredibly frustrating because they have these “sales” where the only way you qualify to get that price is if you buy 2-3 sometimes 5 of the same thing or similar. Sometimes it’s fine and can use the product up but what the heck do I need for example 2-3 boxes of the same cookie, cereal, candy etc?
It’s the same with me with Sainsbury’s. There are products which are on offer which aren’t advertised, only if you shop with the app do you see the reduced price when you scan the item. I’m not a fan of ginger beer or ginger ale do would give this a pass. Thanks for the review.
I stick to my tried and true favorites too, but once and a while it's fun to add in something new. My mom likes the plain zero sugar Canada Dry since it's milder on the ginger. I think it's ok, but soda wrecks my stomach. (and you'd think ginger ale would give the opposite effect 😐) Might be the aspartame. It makes me wish that Monster did a zero version of their ginger mule flavor here... Monster doesn't bother me.
I am glad you brought that up - stores used to always give you the deals to entice you to use your card, because otherwise you wouldn't get a deal. If I shop instore, I have to look at every line as I ring them up (I go to the self-scan). That is irritating! Did Canada Dry ever have anything but cans? I am trying to remember any other way? I don't drink it anymore, so that is surprising if they do.
@@TamiDunn Oh that's right! 2 Liters. I didn't even think of that. I am so goofy, thanks! Maybe they will have it to try one time (the zero sugar one anyway).
Schweppes used to make a raspberry ginger ale that we had when we were kids. I was excited when this came out thinking it would remind me of that refreshing taste, but this just doesn’t do it for me. Thanks for your review!!
I usually prefer Schweppes or unfiltered ginger ale, but I had some of this mixed with Jameson this weekend, and it was really nice. I'm not sure if they still make it but I used to buy Canada Dry Extra Bold.
I have never had a Canada Dry. When Kevin said it tasted like seltzer water, that made this a big pass!! I’m with you, I will always go for a sure thing. Thanks for the review.
Aside from ginger chews, ginger ale is our upset stomach cure 😅 This works for us as an alternative to ginger ale since we bought it to try it but honestly I wish the cherry flavor was stronger, as well as the ginger flavor. It’s just kind of blah…
Too funny- I knew as soon as I saw the title you probably wouldn't like it because it's not sweet enough, you both prefer sweet, it seems! Ginger ale is my preferred soft drink, if I ever drink one (which I typically don't), because it's the least sweet of the bunch. I'd probably have the same reaction but in reverse to something like a mountain dew or dr. pepper, even the diet kind- it's fine, but not my preference because they're too sweet. I guess there's something for everyone, good to at least try :).
The digital coupon is the only way I ever buy 12pk soda from our Kroger-owned stores. I refuse to pay $10 for a case of soda. I would give up soda first. You don't need only the app. You can load the coupons to your card from the website with a laptop or computer. I don't own a Smartphone, so that's how I do it. I tried another flavored Canada Dry but wasn't impressed. Flavor was so light it could have been flavored water. I drank Canada Dry as a kid when Tahitian Treat was under their brand, their cola, Grape, Cactus Cooler, Orange, Black Cherry etc. Once those flavors went away or were sold off, it seemed like Canada Dry only kept the Ginger Ale and I'm not a fan of that.
We won’t be keeping these. I’m sure my sister or someone in her family will be willing to drink them. From now on, I’ll be paying attention to those digital coupons.
That is odd A lot of the Zero Sugar Soft Drinks I've had Have all said 0 Calories Not 5 and Definitely not 10 (5 and 10 is Usually in Sweetened Carbonated Waters)
America isn’t known for having exact calories on anything. They round up or they round down. Everything has calories though. Zero calories just means less than 5 so they didn’t legally have to disclose that.
I'm guessing the 5 calories is due to it having 1% real fruit juice? It lists 1g of carbs which I wonder why it wouldn't be just considered sugar? Not an expert just a guess

We decided to give both 12-packs away.
I actually really like it. I'd say go buy a 20 oz bottle if you can find it and give it a shot.

This doesn’t change our mind about Canada Dry.
@@TamiDunn yes I have been wanting to find a ginger ale brand called Vernors it is supposed to be really good! They are out of Michigan
Yay, you ended up getting it! Thanks for reviewing them! I'm one of those that likes to try different zero sugar flavors, not sure if I'll splurge on this one though.
We will be giving them all away 😉
been enjoying your videos. and helping me try to find these new items
Glad you like them!

I’m glad you enjoy it 😃
This is a excellent product, I love the flavor and the Brand ❤
I’m glad you enjoy it 😃

I agree with you!
That reminds me of my great-grandmother when I was a kid all she had to drink at her house with ginger ale or cream soda.
Cream soda is so good!

This doesn't have enough ginger for me. I guess these are for people who like a lighter flavor.
I stick to my tried and true favorites too, but once and a while it's fun to add in something new.

We have seen it in 2-liter bottles, but not this flavor.
@@TamiDunn Oh that's right! 2 Liters. I didn't even think of that. I am so goofy, thanks! Maybe they will have it to try one time (the zero sugar one anyway).
That looks so good right now, Tami. I'm a big soda drinker.

I don’t get the appeal either.

You know how to have a good time 😃
You could always get some liquid cherry water flavoring and add it to this to pump up the cherry flavor.
I like Canada Dry. I like the ginger flavor and would not want it diluted by any other flavors.
It’s just not for us.
I love Canada Dry too! I tried seagrams and it was awful!! 🤮🤮🤮
I have never had a Canada Dry. When Kevin said it tasted like seltzer water, that made this a big pass!! I’m with you, I will always go for a sure thing. Thanks for the review.
It’s not a drink for us. There are too many great tasting ginger drinks.
The Kroger coupon thing is SO annoying and confusing. My big question about these cans is how did they remove the sugar from "real" cherry juice?
Great question!
Beautiful blouse, Tami 👍 I don't have a Kroger in my area, but I DO care to hear about great deals like $6.00 off. 🤭
Thank you 😊

You know, I couldn’t tell you the last time I had an upset stomach. I guess I’m lucky.

I’d much rather have Ginger Beer.
ginger ale is suppose to be good for stomach pains , i’ve had ginger before in the past
That’s good to hear!
Canada Dry has always been less sweet than sodas. I think because it was usually used as a mixer with alcohol.
That would definitely make me enjoy it more ;)

We aren't fans of Canada Dry in general.

It’s however they feel like rounding lol. Almost all of them technically have at least 5 calories.

Does this taste like a Shirley Temple?
I wish it did. It’s not near as strong or sweet.
I bought a bottled one..tasted like straight cherry cough medicine. The grossest thing ever lol. I’ll stick to regular ginger ale
I thought I would keep the zero sugar, but honestly I’d rather drink my Clear American Strawberry.
That sounds good
Thats a shame they look good.. i love the Canadian Dry Cranberry (comes out during the holidays) and i love Vernors.
You may really enjoy this 😃
Thanks so much for a terrific review. This was a taste testing I really wanted to hear your thoughts and with that I’ll pass.
Enjoy your day.
After drinking more, we won’t keep any of them.
What a boomer. I wish these companies would bring the flavor they are saying is in their products. Makes me frustrated as a consumer. Great review
I agree. We will give all of these away.
Safeway is the same way.
Bet there good with sum capt morgan.😂
