i love this genre of hoopers: your Lamarcus Aldridge's, Al Jefferson's, Zach Randolph's, Rasheed Wallace's, Joe Johnson's, Kevin Garnett's. players like these are a rare find in today's game
You mean the missing piece to the greatest defense in NBA history, right? The long arms that got in your way when you had finally escaped Ben Wallace? But yeah, he got A LOT of techs lol
Was ahead of his time. He spent his whole prime at PF next to a paint clogging offensively challenged center. If any of his coaches in the early 00s had the foresight to play his as a stretch 5, he would've averaged over 25ppg
Sabonis could shoot 3's, it's just that after they reverted the 3pt line in 1998 season, coaches were no longer interested to see players shooting 3's. Because of Shaq and the twin towers of the Spurs you cannot let Sheed play center, he wasn't top tier rebounder and hasn't the strength of a 5.
@@Evenmixer Sabonis was long past his prime by the time Shead entered his. The bulk of his best years were spent playing next to Dale davis and Ben Wallace. And there wasn't a single big man in the league that could slow shaq down during his peak laker years- the only reason to start a traditional 5 next to Shead for that one specific matchup would be to protect him from foul trouble.
@@TheShachattack13 in the early 00's I'm not able to count 5 centers in the league that could shoot lol, they were just pure "brute" throwing their elbows & stuff in the paint Finally, I just saw that Sheed played around 5% of his minutes C in his blazers years and even around 30% in Big Ben era so I guess there's a valid reason it wasn't more
You Are Obviously Young 🤷🏿♂️! Roscoe Didn't Have His Talent "Wasted". The Game Wasn't About Running To The Perimeter Like The Girls Today. He Popped Out When Needed. Going To Work On The Block And Everything In Between Is What He Did, From Simon Gratz Highschool To The League 👊🏿.
I used to play basketball with Sheed at Lions Park year sago. Not only was this dude one of the most talented you'll ever see, but he was mad funny! Thanks for the nickname "Lil DC" Sheed...lol!😂
In his prime probably the best post player I ever seen. He had the size and skill, and strength and could shoot from anywhere. His swagger with the air force ones. His technical fouls were hilarious too he had a personal rivalry with the refs. Sabonis was also the best passing big man i ever seen.
From the neck down Sheed was just as talented as any power forwards from his era not named KG or Dirk. The handle was what separated them from him. Coaching, environment and consistency is what separated Duncan from everyone else.
His natural skill set amongst that generation of power forwards should have put him in the hall of fame. You'll be hard pressed to find a big man as talented as he was ever again. I never understood why Brian Grant was getting so much time.
My Guy Sheed was A Animal.Simon Gratz!!! North Carolina!!!! Portland Blazers!!!! DETROIT BASKETBALL 🏀 That's My Guy. Sheed. Nice Highlight Reel. Ball Don't Lie 🏀🫡 💪🏿 Don't even have to mention the New York Knick or Boston Years.
I always thought that Sheed was on the same level as Duncan and KG, but the refs hated him, so he just didn't get those superstar calls.... otherwise his numbers would've been just as good as theirs, if not better....
Sheed couldn't/wouldn't keep his mouth shut when dealing with the refs, wayyy too many techs and ejections. He had a very bad reputation with the refs, certain situations in the game you have to let it slide, not curse a ref. Just my thoughts.
I ❤ it when Rasheed Wallace argues with referees he opens his mouth he gets a technical foul that’s why he’s the all time leader in technical fouls. I miss him. 😆
One of the most gifted forwards ever! Athletic with a jumper and crazy defense! If Sheed would’ve kept his temper in order he could’ve achieved his full potential 🔥🌊 He would’ve flourished in today’s game as well.
Roscooooooooooo (Kendrick voice)!!! Finally🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿. Max you’re definitely a hoops junkie and know the players that were truly good, skilled and not hype ✊🏿😎💯. That’s why I f@*ks with you
Top 5 big ever in the same exact era as dirk should’ve gotten just as much attention maybe more, But the troubles the team had at the time overshadowed how talented he was.
Sheed had a beautiful/ smooth game, I think his beef with the refs did him a disservice on calls, and that he was an absolute hooper but - I do not believe he was on the level of KGs,Duncan’s, dirks.. I’d bucket him with the Amare staudimires ,Chris Bosh’s, Jermaine oneals of the world. Which is to say the group of REALLY good PFs, excuse me players.
Sheed has no weakness! 6'10-7 foot on a good day, has best first step/jump, grabs rebound, block shot Great awareness to get in position on defence and offence. Best shooting form for a big man, hesi-pull up, silky smooth from 3s to mid range. Up close with turn around, floater, tear drop/hooks.
Rasheed was great but I think he came around right around the time he needed to, the power forward position was probably the best it’s ever been when he played, his game was similar to Derrick Coleman, now Derrick Coleman may have been ahead of his time
Sheed was a victim of the 'NBA MARKETING COMPLEX' where they forced him to lose in Portland against LA because they would make more money with the Lakers playing the pacers then Portland that year. They paid him back for it when he went to the pistons
If Sheed could have used a different approach to get his point across to the refs and just hooped, he would be the GOAT Power Forward as far as skills, toughness, defense, 3’s, passing, IQ, blocks, and his rebounding is his only “weakness” compared to Timmy and KG, everything else, I’m rollin with Sheed!!! It sucks that the refs have that much power over players talent.
Rasheed was NICE. But his personality and David Stern’s politics… gets you a bad label. He had a complete game at that height. Mid range, three ball, one dribble pull up, post up either shoulder, left hand finish, defense, floaters, scoop shots, fadeaways. I think if he had a cooler head he could’ve been promoted more, or lack of a better term “played the game”.
My top 10 PFs of the 2000s. 1.Duncan 2.Garnett 3.Nowitzki 4.Gasol (Pau) 5.Rasheed 6. Webber 7.Bosch 8.Amare Stoudemire 9.Jermaine O'neal 10. Zach Randolp Honorable Mentions: Aldridge and Elton Brand. Didn t put Rodman, Malone or Grant because they were on their last years and they are more 90s players to me.
dude could've been the best PF in basketball had he wanted it bad enough. One of the best low post defenders of all time and was also elite offensively on the block. Go watch his defensive highlights against guys like Duncan and KG. KG is also on record saying Sheed was the toughest guy he had to guard. Only thing Sheed lacked was that he wasn't a great rebounder for his position
If hes still in the league, hes almost like boogie cousins. But much better since sheed has discipline and far better low post than boogie, not to mention he can shoot left and right hand.
His shooting form was beautiful!
@@paradoxical33 Almost as beautiful as your mom 😍
I checked like 6 months ago for some sheed highlights and the best I found was like a couple random plays. So thank you, much needed

‼️
Yeah, the iso midrange game era. Today's NBA is fastbreaks and 3s focused mostly. Still fun tho
🗣️🗣️ “BALL DON’T LIE!!” 💯
Very deserved. Sheed was my favorite PF of that time!
Sheed was so nice. My favorite power forward.
The King of Technical Fouls and Ejection 😂 Ball don't lie

Wallace balled in high top Air Force 1s(uptowns)
i know right, it's very unique even in the 2000s
bro you're honestly the best youtube highlight reel channel out there. Those intros are always 🔥🔥🔥
Finally someone made a great Rasheed mix🎉.
I used to play basketball with Sheed at Lions Park year sago. Not only was this dude one of the most talented you'll ever see, but he was mad funny! Thanks for the nickname "Lil DC" Sheed...lol!😂
Sheed was underrated. He always play hard. Skilled for a bigman. Can shoot 3 and perimeter. Can defend.💯
I really miss Marv Albert's commentary 😔It would something special to have him during the finals!
In his prime probably the best post player I ever seen. He had the size and skill, and strength and could shoot from anywhere. His swagger with the air force ones. His technical fouls were hilarious too he had a personal rivalry with the refs. Sabonis was also the best passing big man i ever seen.
Sheed HS used to have the city lit playing like this. Then playing his entire NBA career in AF1’s is insane🤣 Philly legend..
They're basketball shoes tho lol. Imagine Larry bird in Chuck Taylors
@ u ever played in them🤣 not nba playing shoes at all🤣 same as chucks (shoe socks) basically
Accept it or not, Rasheed was also a generational talent. BALL DON'T LIE.
For the kids who don't get who Sheed was from the clips, he'd basically be Evan Mobley of the Cavs today.
My favorite player of this era!
Bro game was legit. I miss that low post play.
From the neck down Sheed was just as talented as any power forwards from his era not named KG or Dirk. The handle was what separated them from him. Coaching, environment and consistency is what separated Duncan from everyone else.
Sheed was one of them ones. He could score from anywhere on the court. And he played defense. He an MVP candidate yearly if he played now.
Ball don't lie baby

Bruh I love Sheed but the hall of fame? Man chill
Ball don`t lie!! such a gr8 teamplayer. Only person gettin`tossd 4 lookin` @ the referee..💯
Dude was an absolute baller!

He looked so much more athletic and quick with Portland he gained weight and slowed down a lot with the pistons defense was solid tho
and for all his efforts they called him jail blazer even though he's never been to jail. Only in Amerikkka.
Sheed is one of my all time favorite players
Charlie Murphy lives rent free in my head from that one episode of chappelle show
My fav PF 🔥
Would have been a MONSTER in todays league
I always thought that Sheed was on the same level as Duncan and KG, but the refs hated him, so he just didn't get those superstar calls.... otherwise his numbers would've been just as good as theirs, if not better....
he was offensively more versatile, can shoot 3 but defensively below tim and KG imo
tbh he had the mindset of a role player rather than a star despite his talent
@@kakashihaa314he wasn’t a bad defender though that’s what’s crazy🤣 even though Duncan & kg the greatest defenders at they position

@@kakashihaa314not true at all , Sheed was just as good of a defender as Garnett , timmy was the only one who was superior in every category
Sheeeeedddd. BALL DON'T LIE.
Sheed was that piece we needed in Detroit
4:12 Damon Stoudemire was special...
Just noticed Horace Grant looked like Kobe Guarding Sheed. Thats how Big Sheed was. That Oop From Bonzi Was Ridiculous 💪🏿🏀
My favorite player at one point had his jersey growing up as well
I ❤ it when Rasheed Wallace argues with referees he opens his mouth he gets a technical foul that’s why he’s the all time leader in technical fouls. I miss him. 😆
Greatest power foward of all time
….
Uttered perhaps the best postgame comment ever: “Both teams played hard…”
Best post player ever!
Maybe the dumbest comment ever! Not even close to top 10!
One of the 1st hybrid and should be a hall of famer
One of the most gifted forwards ever! Athletic with a jumper and crazy defense! If Sheed would’ve kept his temper in order he could’ve achieved his full potential 🔥🌊 He would’ve flourished in today’s game as well.
A whole lot of talk, but a whole lot of game to back it up 👏
Sheeeeeeeedddddd❤❤❤❤
In today NBA Rasheed would avg. 30+ PPG.
Sheed dam near had me out there wanting to hoop in some Air Force 1's back in the day 😂

Cold as ice!
Rasheed Wallace was seemingly easy money almost any where on the court 😎
The Tech Man 💪🏾
Long overdue 🔥
I've always said Rasheed Wallace was just as talented as any PF in his era!
The KAT of the 2000’s
with elite defense and toughness
and a horrible temper
I was thinking that too, it's a great comparison when you look at highlight reels of both of them and see how they play
Surprisingly graceful player for a hard-nosed, technical foul record setting near 7 footer.
he was too good
Rasheed was great but I think he came around right around the time he needed to, the power forward position was probably the best it’s ever been when he played, his game was similar to Derrick Coleman, now Derrick Coleman may have been ahead of his time

Born & raised in Milwaukee. It happened to us too. They wanted AI in the finals vs the Lakers.
Sheed needs to stop treating 2K like they refs and get in the game lmao

I can relate to Rasheed I lead my sons league in technical fouls for parents
Him and Ben would haveade the Wizards a contender.
Despite what they say for a big man the man jumper & form was smooth
Hey max, ive been watching your videos for quite a while and i was wondering if you could make a lamarcus aldridge goat season video
