Great video - thank you! I have used topical magnesium before, but only dissolved in water. This seems like such a nicer way to apply it, and I will definitely give it a try.
Hope you enjoy it❣️
Hi from Florida! Thank you for sharing all the time, effort, and so much care you put into making your amazing products!
You are so welcome!💕
Thank you 🙏🏼 for sharing I’m excited to create this lotion
THANK YOU SO MUCH for sharing your recipe and doing such a great job. I really appreciate your skill and generous spirit.
I love watching your videos, everything that you make is divine ✨️ tfs 💗
Thank again Ellen, i will certainly give this recipe a go? The recipe looks amazing, thanks
Excellent presentation and to the point
I just got done making this. Let me preface this with YOU ARE THE BEST!!! I love how you explain everything, and add reasons why you use the ingredients for each recipe.. I have watched almost every video of yours. And, each one is perfectly explained
So, this recipe worked just like you've shown here. I love the amount of Lavender that goes in it. It is perfect and not overbearing. The recipe is so perfect. It is not greasy, and absorbs very quickly. I have restless leg syndrome, along with other pain.
I just put it on my legs, and could feel a slight tingle, but a good tingle. I am looking forward to sleeping good tonight. Thanks again!
BTW... what size piping bags do you use? I bought the 12", and they are too small. It took me using 5 bags to complete. 😢
Here are the ones I use: amzn.to/3XWE5hl
My family and I love this recipe, thank you so much!!!!
So glad!💕
You are a God send!!! Thank you for such a wonderful help and the process!!! I LOVE magnesium!!!!❤️💕
You are so welcome!
Was thinking of this possibility today. Perfect!
Thank you for such a great video! Hugs❤
Thanks for this video, my husband has restless leg, and this will be great to apply before bed, good night sleep here we come 😴!
Glad it was helpful!❣️
I love how informative you are with your videos I love your channel...
Thank you! And thanks for the spelling check😉
@@EllenRuthSoap no problem my friend😊 I deleted my comment because no one needed to see it but you ...
Thanks for sharing this recipe and video. I am going to give this a go for my Mum who suffers from night time cramps. I also have restless leg syndrome and take magnesium tablets but this may help me too. Love your videos.
Thank you Ellen, I learnt something new from you today. Thanks for continuously sharing your knowledge.
You are so welcome!💕
Fantastic Ellen, this is exactly what I hoped a soaper was going to cover for Magnesium in a lotion. I use magnesium for spasms in my shoulders and neck, and the effects are amazing. I do hate the feeling on the skin, it's weird and doesn't dissipate like a lotion would. You've given me a chance to experiment further, and not be flying blind. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and giving us a chance to try something different. Your very much appreciated. 😍 😍
Glad you found it helpful, I hope you give it a try❣️
TY so much for this Recipe. Using the Spray on my feet has caused Roughness and ugly dryness on them. This would be a better way to get the Magnesium to my body, and make my feet softer.
Hello!! I'm new to emulsifying waxes and preservatives and previously made a magnesium lotion but without an emulsifying wax, after some time my lotion would sweat and became grainy, so I'm glad I found your recipe!! Can you help me understand how to make this lotion thinner so it could go in a bump bottle? I just like to stay away from sticking my hands in jars often lol I appreciate your efforts and this amazing video!!!
You could increase the water phase. I suggest playing with small test batches to see what you like.
Thank you for all you do, Ellen. Your channel gives me so much inspiration ❤ I'd really love to see you make a video making a salve or balm using ingredients like menthol, camphor, herb infused oils (arnica, comfrey), turmeric, cayenne, etc. I think you get the idea 😉 I think it would be amazing.
Thanks for the fabulous suggestion for a salve👍
Ellen Ruth, thank you soo much for sharing. I really needed to see & have the knowledge. I’m so excited to make & use. I am a hardcore user of mag oil.
I hope you give the recipe a try, I think you'll love it!
@@EllenRuthSoap I’m ramping up for festivals 😵💫😬😂🥰
Great video. Thanks Ruth
This is inspiring me to start making lotions! It looks amazing. Thank you for the video!
Lotion making is so fun and rewarding, you’ll never regret diving in❣️
@@EllenRuthSoap I ended up making this recipe and OMG!!! It's lucious and smooth and it's so nice on my achy shoulders. Thank you!
@Ellen Ruth Soap you have such a lovely voice and way of speaking! Its so nice listening to you and thanks for your videos!!
Thank you so much!
Thank you 😊. I love watching you create! So elegant and tidy 💕
Thank you! 😊
Magnesium lotion is amazing. Definitely helps with the restless legs. I uses it A lot. Haha. This one sounds so silky. May have to adjust my recipe and give this one a try. Thank you for sharing this. 💕💕
Yes👍 I take magnesium orally, but love the lotion too❣️
@@EllenRuthSoap have you ever tried DMSO in the lotion along with the magnesium? The Soap Chef got me onto this and it is amazing. It helps absorb and pull deeper through the skin so you get even more great benefits from the lotion.
@@loricolwell1470 I have DMSO at home. That is a great idea to put some in. How much DMSO would you add to this recipe? Do you have a ratio that I can use? Thanks
@@RaphJoli I used 3% for my 8 ounce test batch it was 6.8 grams (for a different recipe but 3% would be the most I would go)
@@loricolwell1470 Thank you so much!
Love this video.i suffer with resless legs in the evening and take magnesium tablets ,this lotion looks lovely 😍 x
I followed this recipe but mine only made 5 - 6oz jars. I noticed at the end of your video you had a total of ten jars. I had leftover water as you did and was wondering if you then made a second batch with the leftover water? I know a second batch was not shown. I do love how it turned out, such a terrific moisturizer. Thank you for all your wonderful recipes. I love your channel
Yes, I was making a double batch in the video, and didn't make that very clear..
@ thank you for letting me know, I so appreciate it❤️
I can’t wait to try making your lotion! Thank you so much for sharing your expertise and recipe. I wondered how much you charge for a jar as I didn’t see any in your store.
This formula needs the ph adjusted, the salt drops the ph to roughly 3.5 which is good for AHA and BHA exfoliating products. The ph for this should be adjusted to ph of 5 to 5.5
Can’t wait to try it! Thank you for sharing!
Hope you like it!❣️
As usual great recipe. I'm going to try it.
Ellen can you make like an
Menthol ointment for muscle pain. I was going to make one but I've had such bad year 2021, and 22 hasnt been easy. Since you are an incredible maker I think you will come out with something great. Ty you so much you are the best. Hugs Ivon
Thanks! Menthol salve is a great suggestion, I'm going to consider this😉
Thank you so much can’t wait to see what you come out with, im sure is going to be great. Like everything you do.
I can't wait to try
Have you ever done a video on how to make a label? Would love that!
No, label making isn't my strong suit 🤣
@@EllenRuthSoap 😂 but they look nice from our end 😂 who’s the easiest label maker to go to ?
Hi Ellen, how do you think a hydrosol would work instead of distilled water? Thanks for this awesome recipe! I’m going to make some for my mom, she suffered a massive stroke and her muscles cause her so much pain.
I think a hydrosol would work great in this formula. What a sweet way to care for your mother💕
@@EllenRuthSoap thank you! Yes, just trying to ease her pain and make her feel as “normal” as possible. Thank you for your kind words. 💜
Thank you Ellen I know I do not say this enough
