Hmmm single pass and greenwaste, thats a new one, what could go wrong! Looks like there is still the issue of the top hopper not being deep enough. That should be fun with 360s. Wow that arm looks long as too, reminds me of a MJ recycler arm but the spak version. :P
We've never seen one handle greens before only recycling and garbage, something different eh. The hopper still has its issues, but fortunately they're on mostly rural runs where they have a bit more distance between houses to pack the top, palm fronds take up a lot of space in the top hopper when the pendulum is packing the top. Once it opens up the stuff falls in ok, but yeah just not much depth in the upper hopper, it's much better than the DART/monovalve though. It will be interesting to see it handle the 340's, might just time it so you empty it when the blade is packing the bottom. It's the first time I've seen the longer Series 5 arm in person operating, seen pics before, it had a nice reach before you needed to slide out, it looks like it dumps the bin at a better angle than the older Single Pass's did too.
So here it is, finally get a look at a new Brissy split truck, that was built to collect garbage and recycling at once...……. but I'm seeing it picking up greens only...…... WTF?! (massive facepalm) haha I'd cringe at the thought of doing greens with one of these and the top hopper, it can be bad enough with your standard hoppers - definitely want to hope it's anything but an often job. Cool to see the elevated and longer arm in action, the newer version that is. Curious to know if there have been many finer details improved on those models or if they're much the same as they were (except for the newer Raptor series characteristics). Great to know these will still be around in future, hope to see a couple in action myself one day here in NSW! I'm looking forward to the proper garbage/recycle video, give us what we want Alex!!! =]
They have two of them in the Rocklea yard for the rural runs, on Mondays out west for the Mt Crosby/Kholo collection zone and on Fridays around Rochdale, along with a little bit of greens in Upper Mt Gravatt. They collect both recycling and greens weeks on those runs, saves two trucks having to drive so far given the tips are a long way for them to tip off mid run. They don't do too much running mid week from what I've seen.
When i saw this in my feed i audibly gasped and clicked immediately. i love you (not literally)
Haha
This is what you told me about recently! Very cool to see! Good to see they've made a comeback.
Yeah this is it, something nice and different given there isn't the variety there was from the mid 2000's and back.

Are they bring them back in for Brisbane city council areas or just some
