  • Councilmembers Bob Blumenfield, Imelda Padilla, and Monica Rodriguez, along with LA County Health & Safety inform Angelenos of Silicosis prevention. Silicosis is a long-term lung disease caused by inhaling large amounts of crystalline silica dust. Found in certain rocks, sand, stone, and clay, silica is a natural substance that creates a very fine dust easily inhaled by workers in the building trades.
