Thank you Paul for all the wonderful memories of the beloved Packers. You along with Bart Starr, Jim Taylor, and others made Gren Bay Titletown. You will be missed by everyone who watched you play. You truly were one of the greatest football players ever.
May the LORD comfort his family, friends, and Green Bay Packer fans on your home going.

Many, many positive things to say about Hornung. Watch his running and how well he follows and uses his blockers. Very patient, precise cuts, and enough acceleration and speed to get the job done, over and over again. We remember his pulling Guards for the work they did but forget how well Hornung carried the ball. No razzle-dazzle. Just reliable execution.

I think the penalty for both Alex Karras and him was too stiff. Today, they do far worse and pay far less except in the pocketbook. But salaries are much higher in real $$. A game suspension similar to Brady would have been fair.

I agree, today the NFL is all about gambling. In fact they just reduced the penalties for betting on to 2 games.

Nothing like the 60's Packers ever was, nor will ever be again. Their greatness was for the reasons they won...courage, character, determination, commitment and selflessness.

He was great in his short career. but I miss the games in the muddy fields. NFL should ban turf, and indoor stadiums.

@sportsmemories481 Paul was holding court sitting in the corner with his fianceé on his lap with a lit Marlboro and highball in the other, a knockout brunette stewardess type who reminded me of Julie Newmar.

Paul 's blocking always impressed me .Sure he was a big guy , but desire is the factor .Kinda like Jim Taylor and his playing. RIP. The owners can bet and that's cool ,like paul and alex were the only ones .ole piss pete and the other 's are shills . Alex Karras belongs in the HOF . Wouldn't kiss , politics.
