But honestly Erlking is a funny unit in my eyes, he is definitely strong and not only is he a strong unit even whilst not playing into Sinking, I think he set a precedent for identities with very in-depth mechanics like Dullahan and Coffin.

Solemn lament Yi Sang wishes he could approach how busted RingSang is. But yeah, its pretty impressive how far N Sinclair has lasted with just big number and the little fact that negative coins are cracked while clashing.
Been running both of them for a while now and I'm kind of finding the two of them to be on parr. Ring Sang ended up winning over for my meta team because of NFaust lust resonance.
I have both of them lvl 50 (Ring is U3 but Lament is U4) and I will honest to god say Solemn Lament is better. I have had multiple instances of Lament’s S3 doing an upwards of 1000 damage, while I cannot remember the last time Ring’s S2 was reused more than once, because on paper it’s good, on solo it’s good, but it a genuine bleed team? Where Ring Sang should do amazing? There’s not enough negative effects to get the chances up in my experience. And the thing is, you only see Ring Sang’s damage praise, but that doesn’t cover clashes either, in most scenarios clashing with his S2 is clashing with dismember, a basic one coin 16 rolling skill. Lament Sang has a 2 coin 16 roller, but because of how coins work every coin power boost on Lament is doubled in relationship to Ring with their S2s. S1s are out of the question, Ring has a whopping 9, not even reaching 10, while Lament gets to 12 and higher. All in all, Ring sang has a really good S2, but Lament’s S2 is around the same strength, and his S1s and 3s outclass Ring’s in every way. I rest my damn case.

I remember when Wild Hunt Heathcliff health is at low and he has bleed that 100% gonna kill him. He use his final Lament, Mourn, and Despair to defeat Dulciena and deal 211 damage on her, after that attack he explode.
I was like "You did well Heathcliff. I won't forget you for as long as I live."
This was me but for Solemn Yi Sang. I ran a 5-squad for an extra slot, and he di work. Every clash against her was Dominating and he wiped out every other Bloodfiend to get us the easy win. Saved the entire team till it was time for the DPS check. He got one last ‘hurrah’ with an S3 mag dump on her sorry arse before exploding. Then Wild Hunt Heath just proceeded to counter into S4 to finish the job.
I got like 50 bleed with 8 counts, i was like "Hmmmm, yknow what. Counter time"
I mashed counter for the next 4 turn and he doesnt die or even lose clash. He survives with 23 hp thanks to fluid sac protection and a clutch fluid during the last turn

I like how blade lineage yi sang has like, less words than a modern skill 3, but is still cracked as hell because they just added two lines. Coin power for every 5 count.

Hi, I play the story content in this game with base IDs and E.G.O only. While it can seem like Limbus is starting to scale around the best identities, I can confirm that the game remains defeatable with only the clothes on all your sinners' backs. I am convinced that some poor playtester has to do this as a job, and for that, I feel very bad for them, because I can feel like I'm gonna pop a blood vessel sometimes.
And even if it wasn't beatable 100% base for any reason, support units exist. Having stronger identities or options in the game can be an okay thing to balance around as the support system can ensure that you have atleast 1 set of those powerful tools at your disposal. If anyone out there struggles with the game for any reason, please, add some friends on Limbus (even just from in-game) and use their support units. Less effort to grind on your part, and more teambuilding options for you play with. Don't be ashamed.
My problem with the support system is just how much of a cheese it feels like.
I believe a good reason why they've swapped to 2 pages is so that the font can also be bigger. i've noticed that it's just generally easier to read the more recent IDs.

Honestly I Just hope they add more upties that don't have exponentially more cost and improve upon some units who have been power crept in major ways bringing them back up with the current standard while also providing small bonuses in consistency to those who are already very strong its the only way I can see them fixing this without rebalancing things and risking an issue.
I think that they are already starting to consider it, given that already for leveling they said that in terms of EXP cost, from levels 45-50 and beyond, it would change very incrementally per level cap increase

Powercreep isn't honestly all that relevant so long as a game has the option of being clearable without meta units. Arknights is in this exact state where the two most broken units power creep everyone, but they don't change anything because content hasn't scaled as proportionally to the release of new 6 stars as you would be led to believe. Being Silver Gun will still have you clearing 90% of content with 4 stars.
But old ID's getting buffs will make them interesting to play wich doesn't seem like something bad at all
@@bullet3417part of the fun of older IDs tho is seeing what goofy shit is in their kits and how you can stitch a team together to make them work. Sure some of the real stinkers could use a buff, but I don't think players are missing much by not using old Zweiclair or Sloshmael.
I think Meta is just "Play what you like."

dawn sinclair also is kinda weird when comparing him to what comes after because while his kit might just be as complex as the later ones, actually piloting him compared wild hunt heathcliff or the newest walpurgisnight ids is night and day. hes got a huge reward(woo 500+ damage blazing strike, aoe +1 million burn count!), but the support needed to keep him from going baby mode when you really need him to clash is just SO much higher than.. just hitting the buttons like the others expect out of you? hes an incredibly well designed id and i hope we see more ids that require this level of support to make work because they are just so fun imo(its like potential man 2 tbh :3).
Power creep is a given in any gacha game. It what's makes you want to pull for the new ID/EGO either by spending or working in the mines all day. Now that we are going to get 2-3 page ID in the future I don't really mind since most ID usually have there S1 and S2 to build up towards there S3. What I'm worried about is the amount of new status effects I will need to remember to fully optimize my characters. With Bloodfeast and specific effects for Barber Outis and upcoming Priest Gregor I'll need to pay more attention to who I'm going to give resources to and what they do cause at some point I spend more time rereading effects than actual fighting. What I want for Limbus Company is to give us content where units will be benched after they are used which allow us to use other ID rather than brute forcing with the same team. Though this is mainly coming from someone that has played a lot and with every ID and EGO it gives me a reason to run older units so I don't feel bad building them. If we can respec your ID once every weekly reset I would love that. I hope for Hong Lu's Canto we do a split flight where we create two teams of 6 to run through the stage. The idea to run a full party of 12 to the fight is a interesting concept but most strategy is to front line your strongest ID and hope for the weaker one finish the job or vice versa. I do know certain ID benefit from this type of combat Erkling and Devyat Rodion to name a few, but you are really only going to use that for one or two stages in the entire Canto and if you can get to that part of the Canto with usual 6, you really shouldn't have a problem with 12. If hope you don't mind me talking so much, I love this game and will be continue to look forward to its development.
while i do get your concern i kinda revel in it. sure it gets a bit absurd with how many different keywords we get and statuses are no different but therein also lies my fun.
more complex ID´s make more interesting choices and having 5 different bleeds is making it a lot more interesting in terms of teambuilding. sure not all of them will have long term impact, but i douibt this will be the last time we get bloodfiends, or the last time we have a reason for unique charge. though i do think it is a great way of balancing out a lot of things without directley touching systems. look at tremor, it was arguably enitrely worthless until reverb became a thing, now you flavor your tremor depending on what you want to do and it is a real status effect without actually having had a base change. It stays simple for new player while becoming infnitely more complex for veterans and even bridign the gap inbetween because you just need to imagine a newish player work on their tremor team only to get everlasting and he goes wild because of how cool it is
@@mandragorius9637 I do see the chaotic fun of all the different type of effects in the game as that's what makes boss fights interesting and its provide story to the ID/EGO itself. Since they updated the UI for displaying the effects there no doubt that PM will continue with it and I don't see it as a problem. I just hope we don't get to the point where I'm reading a wikipedia page before I can click on the clash button. But now we are here, I kind of want to try to stack as much effects on a boss to see if I can break the UI.

The main issue i find is PM trying to "FIX"their previous lack of thinking or to aepace player skill
Example: players coudnt deal with defens epasing turn
Solution, make then clashable but not Automatic anymore
This brakes Counter being offset
Counter are automatic again
They give a dodge to EVERY BOSS so you either offset or fuck up
Now we got Clashable counter is EVERY BOSS
And ONLY A SINGLE NEW GUARD
Clashable guard also fuckd with previous "slow tanks" mechanics
Solution, make aggro a stat
Varelly works and now we have "fuck aggro i clash with woever"
Then we have chain battle solginf 2 issues
Have the 7-12 extra sinner do something
Balance the skill slot mechanic in waves
As waves had a problem
You expend too manny turn, you get next wave more more slot than enemy
You do wave FAST for EX, then you get second wave with enemies having more slots than you
Characters like Ishmael Egos where made for this when you pass turns, now is a CRITICAL Issue as you can get treashold easily yb enemies
Buttles fights is the best example for this, with bad luck they will one side yous withtheir fastes unit either tresholding your slowest units or at least giving them 10-4 bleed so they dies next turn

Chain battless allow them to add enemies until you get 8-12 max slots so next wave can be balance acordingly
HOWEVER this may be a. Bug or bad design but Blood fiends can spawn with 2-3 slots in later waves, so killing them too fast can still cause the being Over sloted by the nemy and loss 1 unit because of that
PM just goes "looks good, ship it monzo" and then 1 month later has to change half the changes because they cause problem with game design or difficulty.
The only ones that may not have had problem has been resonance going from + damage to +offense. (And fixing offense level) As is both a +damage and a +Clash power making underlevel play posible
For example, Pure BL can do Vampire Lux super easy even with beig 3-6 levelsunder because of res and meur buff (kim meur is up 3 so his buff is sill half its max potential)
The damaged, the drip, the horse (up to 3) and the homelessness. if Erlking was not a targeted psyop against the 42 Potential man users then my name isn't queen Elizabeth the second.

OK, about the new units in here, the problem with them is that they traded status effect for overloading kits and DPS.
So for example, saying Red Eye Ryoshu is a Bleed unit is not really correct, because her Bleed is arse compared to KK Ryoshu. RY Ryoshu is a Charge unit that can inflict Bleed so she can have +2 Coin Boost in Mirror Dungeon.
The same applies to Heathcliff as well. He traded Sinking application for a burst on S3 (which is RNG due to negative coin), AoE on S2, revive and clashable counter.
Now, are they powercreeping the IDs in the game? Sure they are, since PM used them to test for this direction. However, they also require skill to play, or otherwise, you will lose a lot of DPS. This is why people complain about Cinq Salt who stops stacking Rupture half way for more DPS, or Barber Outis who can't bleed anyone, but have +200% damage boost and AoE in S3. You can't play them as normal Rupture or Bleed units.
By the way, Zwei Ish is the most powercreep one. While other units suck at their debuff, Zwei Ish can apply Tremor, has solid clash and damage, and is tanky at the same time.

saying red eyes ryoshu is NOT a bleed unit is incorrect - she ramps up her chage with enemy bleed which in turn allows her to stack even more bleed potency.
you can also play barber outis as a normal bleed unit nothing is really stopping you?

My favorite argument for powercreep in Limbus is, N Corp still keeps up, not nearly as good as when they came out, but damn they can still clear out bloodfiends plenty well, they're not as good as Walpurgisnacht, however those guys are MADE to be powerful

I think the day when limbus getting the most meta/powercreep moment is when pm started adding modifiers that increa ses the chance of getting plus/minus coin rolls or having an ID that increases their capped sp to 48 or 49 or something like that.
I know I’ve probably already commented on this video but I giggle every time I see the thumbnail pop up on my feed
while power creep is a problem, it’s also important for the company to still make money- it’s more obvious in card games like mtg, but if no new cards (units) are better than old ones, then many people will not continue to buy them, So far i’d say PM has done a great job balancing this issue, and i think it helps how much the community loves a challenge as fighting the power creep can still feel enjoyable to the vast majority of players

In the end as long as kits don't overlap too much with sin spread, damage type, and defense skills, they can make all sorts of wild wacky units. I've also noticed that PM has basically embraced block and counter skills to be a sort of drawback for power budgeting; allowing for crazier main kits with the drawback that they don't get the godsend defense option EVADE.
The fanservice man himself not only is baddass asf, he's also very, very strong and can fit into any team, i just kind of think he's... A little *too* strong in chain battles, but oh well, it IS a game that leans more towards being casual, so it's whatever, although i also, never saw anyone use sunshower after wild hunt dropped, which is kinda sad, even more considering the stuff sunshower heath says lol.
when people say they need to buff older IDs they can't be referring to Liu Gregor, because Liu Gregor transcends meta and game mechanics

I’m currently stuck trying to beat him because he ran away during the Walter fight and came back with an entire Ego while my librarians are at like 10% hp while he’s at full hp and does passive burn damage, if this keeps going on imma have to be forced to actually read the mechanics 😭 (I still love him though)

The way I see Limbus Balancing works is the missed opportunities cost which i think is a really good solution! Like yeah you can have THE KING in your full charge team and he will do fine but he wont reach his peaks like he would in a sinking team or how your charge team wont reach its peak without Crack Heaths crazy good passive. I feel Limbus is gonna be alright honestly and be it 2 or 3 pages it dosent matter.....cause PM fans arent gonna read it anyways :3 btw glad your surgery went well! I really like the direction of limbus right now cuz I feel like PM finally got all status in a fairly in the position they wanted(and I guess they hate burn) I think people are just as always thinking that PM will screw things up because of their history with these things, we really should just try to feel ids now and also try to come with different team comps, after all Sinking broke of the mold of having just 1 team in mind with few changes, anyway great video, exited to see what you do next!

I mean, is it being unbreakable really that mind blowing? Unbreakable coins only matter if you lose a clash, and their power is set to 1 upon clash lose.
So, of course, it's great that it's guaranteed to hit, but it has a max roll of 15 (23 if opponent has 20(!) bleed and +5 clash power for 500 bloodfeast consumed by Don (a.k.a. you need 500 bleed damage already dealt + a Don bloodfiend ID)), which isn't too much. And if she loses the clash where her unbreakable coins should matter, on the attack she rolls 3-7. Is it really that impressive?
To be fair, every “face of the season” ego is very good at are minimum
Fourth Match Flame is a good burn EGO and has funny power stacking capabilties
Sunshower was buffed from HE to WAW due to how busted it was
Blind Obsession is a really good aoe ego with SP regen
Binds gave extra attack weight and had really good SP effect

Well I feel like I've been living off of the meta now! I only started playing during the Murder on the Warp train event. And just after that is when the mentioned Walpurgisnacht happened. And boy did I spend some money there. But I got Red eyes Ryoshu, Solemn Lament Yi Sang, and even Wild Hunt Heathcliff!
They have all carried me through the whole story. Just got caught up to the new canto as it launched.

I was a new player when Huntcliff realease, i spent for him, i didint acquire huntcliff, began to farm mirror dungeon, got the 400 shards, exchange for huntcliff, buy limbus pass, got the ticket for a id of the season, got again Huntcillf, i love him and it carries me at least for all of canto 5, not starting canto 6 until next warpulights, and trying to get all of those id,s (btw argalia id for gregor beliver)
Back when Kimsault dropped, I expressed a bit of worry towards a friend of mine, that I was scared everything after Kimsault has to keep up with his strength
The one thing that hindered him becoming broken was that he was a poise-team heavy unit (even then he was goated)
But a generalist like Wildhunt or Red Eyes-shu showed me the fear was kinda justified, because they are so good without needing any support
Even Lament-sang strictly speaking doesnt need a sinking team to perform incredibly
I just hope they introduce Modules like in Arknights/ ID-specific UT5 for older units, so they dont catch dust

@@goodsirsepsis8152 it's just that uptie 5 being just a buff to ID's is not a good thing, when like the whole purpose of you uptying them is to make them just on similar strength with other ID's whie also requiring a huge farm. And the fact that after some time they will need a buff again so pm will need to make up6 or be the best company and just buff them in patches

But I'm pretty sure they wont do the latter either way, because that would infringe on the "product value" of the IDs (which was the reason they didn't nerf Ringsang so much)

The reason Lobotomy Ryoshu is not so much her S4, but moreso the fact that she gains a crazy amount of % damage by having the stacks, and deals busted base damage too. With one of the strongest base hitting S2's in the game and a decent S1, it's no surprise she stands next to Ring Sang in terms of pure damage.
As someone who so statuspilled that any keywordless 000 id immediately turns into 00:
Butterfly Yi Sang is not as op as he seems. After dozens (or how many weeks have passed since his release since i run md daily) md runs with sinking, i can say for certain: Butterfly vs Bush is the most equal of all exchanges, with spicebush being better in md. The main determining factor is who are you gonna fight: waves of enemies or a singular target. For example, butterfly allowed me to 40 turn railway, while spicebush can quite reliably deal 700 dmg turn 4, or 1,5 more for every turn above that. Despite being the first id with an aoe, in present time it's probably the least important part of his kit, it actually more of a detriment, since it steals wild heath's kills and steals t count from s3
Ring Sang and WH Heathcliff were the harbingers of the new strongest IDs as well as the show of the future IDs to come.
To me, although I do not have Kali-Ryoshu, I can say that these are two of the strongest ID combinations: Wild Hunt + Solemn Lament and N Faust + Ring Sang. Ring Sang and N Faust is basically Ring Sang on steroids because of the guaranteed S2 reuse when you combine it with Faust’s S2. With Hex Nail, all of Ring Sang’s skills become nukes. I don’t have to explain Solemn Lament + Wild Hunt. It is basically a powerful Sinking melt setup.
ITS better to just use either w don or w Ryo for extra dmg instead of n faust since she just mid,but Ig fluid sac was exist for some reason

i totally agree with you rn. the units now are REALLY fun to use. zwei ishmael is funny haha blockma, but she cant deal with unbreakables and forced damage (AKA bleed, rupture, sinking, etc), barboutis is fun too, self heal while applying shit ton of bleed and huge aoe, but dogshit rolls until she ramp up decently.
As long as new units have an actual skill requirement to access their inevitably insane kits, I think it'll probably be fine. Players in most any game always look for the best but also easiest option, so a potentially ridiculous id (that can actually meet that potential, *suncliff*) could be 'balanced' by way of making it actually tricky to use to get the maximum reward, resulting in that funny meme situation: 'who thinks the new id is the strongest' everyone raises their hand; 'who wants to play the new id' and nobody raises their hands lol.
Or you know, maybe I'm wrong and Myongest Ryoshu is right around the corner-

I'm at least glad there is a lot of 2star units that have use in specific teams, as well as a lot of them that are just good enough to get through the story and mirror dungeons. My hope is that the power creep doesn't get so out of hand that it makes ids like ring yi sang and wild hunt heathcliff a necessity. especially since for a returning player like me I that doesn't have many 000 ids (I am incredibly unlucky with gacha). atleast extraction is a option and hopefully makes powercreep slower since anyone can just shard any id they need or want. (even if it takes a WHILE to get any id let alone a team)
I got him just by decaextracting without any intent on the normal extraction just because i was sure that i would get something good *(it was my lucky day.)*

I keep forgetting that Ring Sang exists. I only use him when I wanna use my bleed team but I never use bleed outside of MD. When his sanity is low his 1 coin s2 is more likely to roll tails and lose the clash. I get that he’s strong but he never felt as broken as everyone makes him out to be. Personally I value clashing more than damage and W Don/Ryoshu clash with more than 30 power on their s3.

Don't really agree with the red eyes/wryoshu/chef ryoshu comparisons.
Chef ryoshu isn't used in bleed teams, not even before red eyes. She just inflicts a pitiful amount of it, just enough to qualify for gifts.
W ryoshu and red eyes are both charge yes but you don't use them *because* they are charge, you use them because they are a dps monster.
Red eyes and w corp have 2 different niches by the simple fact that one is slash based and the other is blunt based, they will be useful depending on enemy weaknesses.
Chef rypshu got powercrept back when ryoshu released just because she's only a dps unit. Her healing, her bleed, her bind, it doesn't matter, people used her because she dealt good damage and rolled pretty high.
Then w ryoshu came who is slash based just like chef ryoshu (chef has pierce skill 2 but that's actually for her detriment because it's much better to be mono damage type) and rolled even higher than her and dealt more damage
And about solemn yi sang being on par with ring... Just no. Solemn sang is no setup and really good skill 3 damage but his skill 1 and 2 are average at best.
1/6th of the kit doesn't justify using him over ring sang as a generalist when his overall kit is simply better and also requires little to no setup. They both share damage type and 2/3 sins so not even that saves him for having some niche as a generalist over ring.
He is good as a generalist but definitely not better than ring or even close to equal and his real niche is making sinking deal more damage
I do think that new limbus kit tend to be unnecessarily wordy.
Like rodion not applying rupture could be made as a passive rather than span like 9 total lines throughout 3 skills. Sure, then it could technically apply to the counter but is it really worth it to "nerf" the counter that's barely used at the cost of having 9 extra lines?
Her not consuming rupture on skill 1 and 2 could just read if (passive) is active don't consume rupture and for skill 3 it would be if (passive) is active reuse last coin and that'd be a more compressed kit that does basically the same.
This can also be applied to many other new units that are way too wordy for no reason and you could reduce the word amount a bit even if it means lightly changing the kit a tiny amount for the sake of compression

more complexity is a must have for me. wild hunt heathcliff by himself is more engaging than 6 n corp characters working together. because early character design was lame as hell. chain 4 orange for sanity. apply a pretty mid bleed status, basic as hell skills. hell, the conditionals don't even change how you play half of them are just, do more damage not even clash power.
