as someone who started playing Limbus when To Claim Their Bones had just released (and really only started doing MD after getting hit in the reading comprehension by dongbaek), the idea of just killing one of your sinners for the rest of the run instead of getting a free ego gift is hysterical to me
Even with all the buffs gossypium received the best use for it is to either sell or fuse it at the next rest stop you get to, even when running bleed. Stagger is still beneficial for bleed teams, as it allows for free count buildup on top of damage bonus, or the ability to just direct attack elsewhere in focused fights. If it also added bleed count when it triggered it would be in a better spot to a point where at least bleed teams might actually have a use for it.
this has to be better than 90% of videos, i love it when a creator isnt afraid to tell a fanbase they are stupid... also railway just kinda sucks (Im very bad at the game)
it always had one huge benefit most people miss, even in season 1 and outside of bleed. It let's you win rate against peccatula. If there is nothing to clash in a focused encountered, and you click win rate, all your sinners will aim at 1 enemy, and most of their skills are wasted. And peccatula were the encounters you'd take as much as possible, as they are easier and less volatile, than humans, while also having like 70% chance to give a random gift you can at least sell or fuse. And while incredibly rare, bloody gossypium, that exists since season 2, together with white, make any team into a bleed team.
also note: stagger doesn't simply make you deal double damage. It makes every physical damage resistance fatal (x2). So it makes you deal double if they were normally x1, makes you deal even more if they were resistant x0.5, or... absolutely nothing if they were already fatal to a damage type. Meaning defense level down is fundamentally more consistent damage boost that also still allows ID clash win conditionals, allows even tremor to stagger something preventing all of its actions for a turn, then promptly stagger it a second time next turn with the bonus defense level down to boot. The situational potential of the gift is incredibly high. Situational potential sadly does not matter in md, because you run bleed or rupture, get bloody mist or thrill, and then blow everything up with your mind 1 to 3 times per week
Before, I always thought White Gossypium was... fine, like, never going to go out of my way to grab it, but its not horrible... and then I fought kim. and suffered kim for about 2 weeks. and now I comprehend why staggering an opponent, is not important, but at times, *NEEDED*
One note of gossypium at that time: It gave that much count instead of offense level down, which essentially meant it was a free 60ish damage instead of a stagger. Any form of runkilling was because it would cause you to have to take more hard clashes than the damage loss.
This flower is single handedly the reason why i almost tore my hair out I got it one fight before i had to fight distorted kim and i forgot to give it up, this was the last fight before the mirror dungeon was done and i spent **two hours** on the fight because i simple could not deal enough damage and when i did the fucking piece of shit gift de-staggered em and when i did beat em **I did it before the servers went on maintanence so i had to do this fight again**

ooohhhhhh so THIS is why people hate it... that makes more sense. I started playing in the second half of season 3 and I've always loved that little sack of shit ego gift. It's nice learning the history of a game i love. Thank you for making this video ^^
Good old times when people malded profusely about WG killing their run and i was in the corner sitting innocently and happily with a status-focus bleed team
>be me, a tremor team on MDH. >fused the 3 tremor break = stagger gift. >Risky encounter gifted WG >unable to refuse. >no shop in sight. >floor_boss.jpg stood menacingly
I unironically love White Gossypium and I cheer any time I get it because of how it slides their offense levels down so you can get more sanity back clashing or Sins for E.G.O.
Also those comments at the end about how we’re just stupid and all that shit …I wholeheartedly agree. Mirror dungeons need more spice, but only the *right* kind of spice. And I think stuff like gossypium does that. Things like the Canto II gifts are also a good example.
The problems rise when you get this OUTSIDE of bleed teams and you don't have the rest stop to upgrade it (if you are somehow planning to use it for the debuffs), the unstagger and offense/defense debuffs are meant to be used as a means for you to clash AND use the bleed you inflicted on the enemy after staggering them but there's one problem, bleed team on MDs have inherently 10 Damage Ups on a fusion gift aka Bloody Mist so most of the time you just kill them before you get to clash them again for this "gift" to work...
At least it can be used as a scrap for a T3/T4 craft, depending on another two gifts But I do it almost instantly when I get to any shop/crafting table, this is how much PTSD it gave me
Its still hilarious you can still get it sometimes if you fail the 90% chance to fusion the ego gift you want. Its infuriating when its right before a boss.
Stagger isn't vital to win. The bleed team has some of the stronger clashers and bleed requires clashes to work. White Gossypium has a gimmick, but it works.
Honestly a mirror dungeon where instead of getting good gifts you just get stuff that weakens you could be kinda fun. Not as a whole MD like this one but as a side option to spice stuff up it might be really fun I think.
I like playing bleed team, (pequod trio, pierre, kurokummo captain gregor and rodion kurokumo). White gossypium is what i like to run early and late cuz you can make more damage just as the video says on 2:30. The issue with White gossypium begins when you're not running a bleed team... But thats just my opinion and personally, i love to mix White gossypium with sticky muck (pequod trio is full pierce lol). I AM A WHITE GOSSYPIUM LOVER!!!!
I'm glad you made this video to learn the history of Limbus of Mirror Dungeon. I would like to do solo runs but I wish someone would make a guide on solo runs first.
Ok, 4 things (all positive): First, and most importantly, great vid Second, I was getting ready to make a "Wound Clerid + White Gossypium" commment, but I'm glad you addressed it (also, liu teams become bleed teams with just those two ego gifts, lol) Third, though the defense level down is nice for some extra damage, the sheer value of it baseline is very helpful for overcoming some enemy evades with nasty effects (*COUGH!!* Pequod Town) Fourth, you are incredibly based for using footage of Mariachi Sinclair solo Lastly (you can skip this part), I'm personally of the opinion that MD, especially hard, should not be something you can freely winrate through. And mind you, I say this as someone whose weekly MDH run is always Mariachi Sinclair solo, since solo runs are the only way to make MDH challenging to power through at all these days, especially with starlight bonuses. But hey, that's just my mildly masochistic self talking, MDs being a bit easier makes the weekly grind less time-intensive and I'm sure most people would prefer for it to stay 30 minutes rather than an hour and a half
Isn't it funny, that me, running a Tremor team, whilst watching this video, got a White Gossypium random encounter exactly at 4:00? It heard you... and me, as well.
Bleed does not trigger when you defend. Counters, evades, guards and even clashable counters like Wild Hunt Heath's (yes, even when its transformed into S3-2) are completely safe to use when the Sinner is bleeding, and can prolong their life if the bleed would be fatal otherwise.
One of the reasons White gossipiyum is bad is because stagger means you can stack bleed count without worrying about losing potency because count went to 0.
Sup Jelly. You prolly don't remember me but I was the person who talked about downloading Limbus A month ago and now. I can't stop playing ;). Coped a good bit hard bc I grinded through the entire Railway losing to Forgery many times just to miss the three 10 pulls to not get Solemn Yi Sang but I did get Potential Man but Keep up the good content you got a lot to do!
I got gossypium on a burn run and forgot to sell/fuse it before fighting the floor 5 boss (Pequod Trio), which ended up losing me the run since it broke the fight mechanics
If you get the wound clerid (bleed bettle) to ++ burn becomes bleed. Although I don't like it, if you constantly try to craft a lvl 4 burn gift you should get glimpse every run and one turn any fight without a multi-phase gimmick.
I never really thought about the Gossypium much, mostly because I play burn meaning I can take the "Rate" out of "Win Rate" and let the game play itself with whatever comes my way, so I'm glad to get this little history lesson, maybe next time it shows up with Wound Clerid I'll give them a few levels... Or not, Glimpse of Flames doesn't care for defense anyways and now that I have the Walpurgisnacht IDs I'm not really ever struggling with clashes
5:30 The new Limbus Company wiki (.gg for reference) actually has an insanely large amount of good and thoroughly-researched information, including the answer to this question! NO, Kromer could not in fact be a boss in Mirror of the Beginning, and was only a final floor boss of Mirror of Mirrors (AKA MD2) Hard Mode. For reference MD1's entire boss pool was 3-18 Guido, all 3 Canto 1 dungeon abnos, Get Beat Hurtily and Clippity Cloppity (aka Get Pink Shoesily), Slithering and Everything There Inquisitors, Four-Legged Beast and crew, Headless Icthys, and Alleyway Watchdog. At the time Clapfish was considered the worst possible boss pull, because it was genuinely a tough fight at the time. Gods, the difference 18 months can make...
Now the worst one is either Ardor Blossom Moth or Siltcurrent (in terms of abnos at least). Yes you can get something like Sign of Roses but never as a final boss
I may be stupid, but I'm hella surprised how SO many people hated gossypium, I never had trouble with Gossypium, I just considered it annoying whenever I could get a more fitting Gift and that's even pre-upgrades
I wanted to bring up that with the fastest mirror dungeon team, White Gossypium is actually really beneficial with its key ego component: Clasped Structure. Which gives all blunt skills on Sinner's number 3 through 6 a damage boost proportional to the amount of coins used, but on the condition of only being applied on a Clash win. Additionally, it may be cool for you to look into everybody's favorite ego gift that we forget picking up seconds later: -reusing an ego when you don't have enough sp- Rusty Commemorate Coin
Bleed is my favourite team comp by FAR, and yet I've been fleeing from this gift like the plague since it came out. I didn't realise it was so good... the curse of being unable to read strikes once again...
5:23 If I remember correctly kromer in MD doesnt have the bleed passive. its only on the canto mode, maybe its different but I still remembering bringing KK honglu to kromer fight in MD
by the way iirc kromer got her funny passive taken away in md, pm definitely realized the problems it had considering how it got hit in the nerf of the fight
I have fan ID where they recover Enemy stagger after staggering them(weakened enemy for some degree) so they can focus on something that they like too. And it Stack with white goose thing.
Personally, as a Bleed main, I never had that problem. Also, in Mirror Dungeon 4, White Gossypium is very useful for the offense power down in the later floor, especially if the enemies got some of their own offensive buff to go along their level scaling, which becomes even more effective with Red-Stained Gossypium and in combination with Wound Clerid (which is the best Bleed gift behind Bloody Mist when fully upgraded, no questions asked).
tremor doesn't even need to stagger enemies in order to deal damage anymore, so they can make use of the ego gift too. i'll still sell it at the earliest convenience just because i use the money to stack whathever dumb idea i have.
For me, the only reason I would accept gossypium is so that I can use it as fuel for E.G.O gift fusions, so the game becomes an endurance test of how long I can retain my sanity fighting with that flower that I hate until the next rest stop.
I really liked the ego gift when they introduced the upgrade, and pick it even outside bleed teams just for the defence down just for the chance to get the next stagger more quickly and Increace damage. Also clash win conditionals, that as well

this has to be better than 90% of videos, i love it when a creator isnt afraid to tell a fanbase they are stupid... also railway just kinda sucks (Im very bad at the game)
the gossypium hate was so big it became canon
it always had one huge benefit most people miss, even in season 1 and outside of bleed.
Sorry but that happens to be my favorite ego gift.
This flower is single handedly the reason why i almost tore my hair out
I got it one fight before i had to fight distorted kim and i forgot to give it up, this was the last fight before the mirror dungeon was done and i spent **two hours** on the fight because i simple could not deal enough damage and when i did the fucking piece of shit gift de-staggered em and when i did beat em **I did it before the servers went on maintanence so i had to do this fight again**
Probably better name video as Limbus Company
Because I don’t think anyone in the gacha community actually knows this item existence
Just suggesting
Most emotionally hated item within its respective community among all hated items within their respective community
The purpose is that this video could be enjoyed by people who aren't already Limbus fans, and isn't tryintng to market itself with that restriction
@@wolfy-woo TBF, If i wasnt familiar with PM i would just click the video, see that it talks about some obscure thing (No one plays Limbus company) and id would close the video
I dont think this video creator gains anything at all from trying to appeal to people who dont know what PM is
@@Astareia7312 wha
We are opposites, and y'know, I actually really enjoy learning about obscure things I otherwise wouldn't. There's an audience for everything, and there's also nothing to _lose_ from targeting your video to the wider gacha audience. ...D-do you even realize how many gacha gamers have been indoctrinated into Project Moon via Limbus already?
Lmfao scrub
i sometimes get gossypium on my tremor team and its HELL
my main gimmick gets disabled...
Psst... PM doesn't want you to know this, but gossy on tremor can actually be pretty funny

The tax don, frog and everlasting in question :
Watching this while playing
Got gossy during my charge run
Thanks jelly very cool
ooohhhhhh so THIS is why people hate it... that makes more sense. I started playing in the second half of season 3 and I've always loved that little sack of shit ego gift.
It's nice learning the history of a game i love. Thank you for making this video ^^
Comically animated, good work as always. Need more tongue and cheek humour like this.
Good old times when people malded profusely about WG killing their run and i was in the corner sitting innocently and happily with a status-focus bleed team
28 MINUTES AGO?!??! DAMN the algorythm is being quick to recommend peak now
>be me, a tremor team on MDH.
>fused the 3 tremor break = stagger gift.
>Risky encounter gifted WG
>unable to refuse.
>no shop in sight.
>floor_boss.jpg stood menacingly
2:52 i forgot about fandom wiki and was incredibly confused for a moment because what???
I unironically love White Gossypium and I cheer any time I get it because of how it slides their offense levels down so you can get more sanity back clashing or Sins for E.G.O.
Also those comments at the end about how we’re just stupid and all that shit
…I wholeheartedly agree.
At least it can be used as a scrap for a T3/T4 craft, depending on another two gifts
But I do it almost instantly when I get to any shop/crafting table, this is how much PTSD it gave me
cant believe i just spent 15 minutes watching a video about white gossypium i love bleed
Its still hilarious you can still get it sometimes if you fail the 90% chance to fusion the ego gift you want. Its infuriating when its right before a boss.
This has inspired me to finish my own essay on how to make mirror dungeons fun by making the ego gifts wackier. Thank you 🙏
I've never played, or even know anything about Limbus Company, but I love these vids!
I AM A WHITE GOSSYPIUM LOVER!!!!
aaaah good old times of season 1 and mirror dungeon 2, how far have we come
I'm glad you made this video to learn the history of Limbus of Mirror Dungeon. I would like to do solo runs but I wish someone would make a guide on solo runs first.
No farm watch video, maybe next time
Oh wait no, she’s doing wild hunt next, maybe next time
babe wake up new allergyjelly vid just dropped
Mmmmmmm
Gimme that Huntcliff video
Glory to the Wild hunt
Ok, 4 things (all positive):
First, and most importantly, great vid
Second, I was getting ready to make a "Wound Clerid + White Gossypium" commment, but I'm glad you addressed it (also, liu teams become bleed teams with just those two ego gifts, lol)
Third, though the defense level down is nice for some extra damage, the sheer value of it baseline is very helpful for overcoming some enemy evades with nasty effects (*COUGH!!* Pequod Town)
Fourth, you are incredibly based for using footage of Mariachi Sinclair solo
Lastly (you can skip this part), I'm personally of the opinion that MD, especially hard, should not be something you can freely winrate through.
Watching this as I do a bleed MR run. I enjoy your content very much.
back at it again on the limbus grind
The rot hath spread
not enough people play limbus for that to be a most hated item in the entirety of gacha gaming
as a new player gossypium is one of my favourite ego gifts to find in the dungeon, I can't believe it was this hated all along
"nobody in their right minds would pick warpt when running bleed" WEAK! STRENGHT IS FORGED IN THE CRUCIBLE OF CHALLENGE
The flashback season 1 makes me feel old.
some of yall never had to sloth through the torture that is having white gossypium in md2h
laughing at the khk coin joke what a devil skill
I have fan ID where they recover Enemy stagger after staggering them(weakened enemy for some degree) so they can focus on something that they like too. And it Stack with white goose thing.
1:20 fandom wiki moment 💔
The ability to sell gifts and fuse with keyword make me grab all ego gifts possible
