I was honestly shocked when you said the price. I honestly expected it to be more than $100. During the video I was guessing it was $130-150. That’s a LOT of features for $100. My friend was making fun of me the other day for having a humidifier for my plants lol. But what people don’t realize is it isn’t just for plants; it’s also good for us like you said!
I love my Levoit humidifier. I got the 5.5 L and it has all those features and still stays full for a week. This year’s version is functionally much better so I got it as I want it to last. Many models you need to buy direct from Levoit.
I bought this a couple weeks ago based on your recommendation and I really love it. The two swiveling spouts are very handy as well as being able to set the humidity percentage so it runs when it needs to. I also got the moisture meter as well so I can check the humidity in the corners, etc.
I just wanted to let you know, I am now going to go get a bunch of plants for my house, I currently have none, and am just feeling the need for some now. It really does make a house look better. Thanks!
👋 Hi there! I live in Northern California. Although I grew up surrounded by house plants, I’m new to having my own. I just want to say that I love your content 💕 You’re so knowledgable and I 1000% trust your recommendations. I've been researching humidifiers & you sold me on this one. I just ordered it! 🤗 I initially wanted it for my plants but now I partially want it for the skin benefits too! Thanks again! You're the best! 🥰
I live in Canada and don't even know how I lived without a humidifier before. My skin and lips use to get so dry in the winter, now its never an issue! FYI, if you have really cold winters, your going want a few humidifiers, one won't keep up with central heating.
bought one of these for my plants, super excited! I loved hearing you talk you are beautiful lol I haven't used it yet setting it up and watching you, two separate nozzles is a huge bonus for my girls!!!!
What about cleaning? It is extremely easy to create mold in your environment by not cleaning the unit at least once a week. How easy is it to clean? How often do you clean yours? Can you easily clean all areas with a cleaning brush? Thank you for this information.
just got one of these based on this video! i'm keeping it on 55-60% for now, because I have pet bunnies, and when I asked my vet how they do with humidity, she said that they're comfortable in roughly the same levels as me, so I'm taking it very slowly and feeling it out. Hopefully it should still stop my calatheas browning at the edges though!
Hi! I've come across this one several times now and I'm considering it. The Amazon reviews are kind of mixed because of it breaking down after several months. Is it still working well for you? Thank you!
Thanks for this video. I bought this same humidifier from Amazon for my plants and wanted some info how to use it. Your video gave me all the details I needed. Thanks for confirming that I made the right choice.
I was about to buy this exact model a week ago but decided to wait since I've been spending too much on plants lately. Today I received a message from my bank saying I have 20% off of any Amazon purchase because it's Mexicos version of Black Friday and 2 mins later RUclips suggested this video. Once I was convinced that I needed it (and told my gf about the essential oil tray, which got her on board), I opened Amazon and they're sold out =/ I guess I'll keep using my cheap humidifier for a while.

Hello plant friends! Just an FYI... I picked this bad boy up about 5 days ago on U.S. Amazon and paid only $68.37 USD. Yes. $68. Which I thought was a STEAL considering the many wonderful things this humidifier does and can do. Don’t miss out! 😊🌿
Christ, I ran 4 of these in about 1200 sqft and had to fill them about once daily to hit 60% humidity in SoCal. Unfortunately with super hard water I also had terrible white dust deposits especially on plastic surfaces that naturally collect fine dust due to electrostatic attraction. I just bought 3 Boneco S450 steam humidifiers which so far I really like but they are struggling to keep into the 50% range in about 2000 sqft of room (unfortunately shared with 2 air handlers in 4000 sqft).

Haha, I have the same. Here in Canada, wood furnace, set at 65%, small house, second humidifier in adjoining room and I’m lucky if I get 24 hours before filling water canister. Lol

Sorry I know you did this a year ago , but I just need to ask if it ever leaks .....as I have had an awful experience with a different humidifier that leaks loads over my top & soaked my carpet after only 2 weeks use
Kaylee Ellen Ok, thanks for the reply! What I’ve read in groups on Facebook is that houses are usually built to handle 40% moisture, but that might be just what the absolute minimum is? It might be different for different countries, I live in Sweden which is very dry in the winter, not sure if it’s that different from the uk though.

Hey, Kaylee! Love your videos! Couple of questions: 1. Do you have hard water? I've heard this can be rough on humidifiers. 2. How large is the room that you use this humidifier in? I'm thinking about getting one for my bedroom, which is on the smaller side, so I'm just wondering. Keep up the great work ❤

So, I just got a new humidifier and it works pretty well so far. I do find it a bit annoying that it only mists to the front. I was actually wondering if it is in any way harmful to the plants if they just get a constant, kind of one directional mist in one area? Or should I position them differently every few hours or so? I am really a noob when it comes to this so I'm sorry if my questions are stupid hehe. Also, I do not plan on keeping it on 24/7 because of the electricity costs, so does it stress them out if they are misted for say 8 hours per day, and then not misted during the night and when I am at work during the day? Should it be constant for the best effect? Again, sorry if this is really stupid but I want to make sure they will do well with this additional item. Thanks!
We love these humidifiers, but ours have not lasted for more than a year. It's very disappointing that they stop working, especially because there doesn't seem to be a way to fix small appliances in our society. Anyone have any tips for repairing them?
Yeah I'm being naughty and using tap water in this but it does tell you to use filtered water so I will probably change my ways and switch to filtered. Lol
I just got one for my room but it runs out so quickly!! I had to refill it after using it just one night :/ I have it set it at 60% what am I doing wrong 😩 should I get another one??
If I go away for let's say a week and the tank does run empty will it shutoff completely? I have a humidifier but it's on a dial setup so if it's on it on and that's a fire hazard. I'd buy this just for that.
It will shut off in the way that it won't try to produce any mist anymore - I haven't tested to see if the display etc shuts off but it certainly won't try and produce any mist or anything :)
Hi Kaylee. I purchased this humidifier and it seems the hygrometer is misreading the relative humidity in the room. I have it set to 60, and it says that it is at 60 percent. BUT I have 3 other hygrometers, all from different companies, that say it is only 40 percent. Have you checked that it is operating as intended? Mine has been running all day in a small room. It has almost gone through the whole tank but has not raised the humidity. I can’t imagine what could be happening.
Yes that will be because it is the humidity level relative to the humidifier - the humidity will always be higher around the actual unit. If I want say, my living room to stay at 65% humidity I will actually set the humidifier to about 70 to account for it. The percentage difference from the humidifier to the other side of the room will depend on how well your room holds humidity or how dry the air is.

Just bought this humidifier for my plants. Can anybody tell me if you have to place it directly near your plants or is it enough to just have it placed in the same room?
My humidifier isn't really anywhere near my plants because I keep it on to actually make the entire room humid. So the whole house is at about 60% humidity

I was researching about humidifiers and found out about bacteria , how often would you say to clean this humidifier?
Miae weekly with white vinegar
Do you use distilled water only in this? I feel like I would if I bought this. Just for longevity
Yeah I'm being naughty and using tap water in this but it does tell you to use filtered water so I will probably change my ways and switch to filtered. Lol
Just ordered their 600hh. I’ll come back and leave a review
Is it working fine? Just looking at getting it myself and can't decide haha
@@fluffymonster1306 Yeah that thing is amazing!! The only issue I had was with algae growing inside the container. other than that I love it!!!!
@@youngsumma thank you so much for replying!!🤩
Does this one light up as well?
I just got one for my room but it runs out so quickly!! I had to refill it after using it just one night :/ I have it set it at 60% what am I doing wrong 😩 should I get another one??
alreadyare did you set it to auto if you have not then it’ll will run dry
id love to buy..but the voltage conversion is different ...not match here in phiippines which is 220v
I have this one and I really love it. It’s my best purchase if have made!
@@KayleeEllenOfficial thanks!!
@@KayleeEllenOfficial shelbi hicks , I just got a hygrometer as I just bought this humidifier as I started to question levoits hygrometer reading , mainly to reactive in too short time. So I bought a good hygrometer and placed it right next to aroma box as that's where the sensor is ...and I noticing 10% difference . So I sleep with my levoit set to 70% but my hygrometer only reads 60% and it's placed right next to aroma box. .
Has had this ?

Has anyone else had this?
A newer model came out so it's now $78😁 one question, you haven't had any mold issues?
Nope Never! I live in a new build though so maybe that's why?
Just bought this humidifier for my plants. Can anybody tell me if you have to place it directly near your plants or is it enough to just have it placed in the same room?
How close do you put your humidifier to your plants? I have 3 calatheas , with the humidifier about 20 inches away.
My humidifier isn't really anywhere near my plants because I keep it on to actually make the entire room humid. So the whole house is at about 60% humidity
Wish these came with a hose so could use it for reptiles
How far away from your plants should you place your humidifier?
For those who come across this should my humidifier be spraying mist on the leaves and pots or just into open air
It's usually best nestled close. So if you have all of the plants grouped together, you'd put it beside them or in the middle of the group
How often do you clean it? And do you use tape water?
You are supposed to use filtered water but I've been a bit naughty and used Tap water so far.
Kaylee Ellen thnx for the reply! Loved the video btw, going to be saving for one of these. Just got a little Calathea Medallion!

PS: you have such Beautiful skin!!
I’m confused.. can you clarify the model you are reviewing?
It’s the LV600
When you realise how lucky you were to get one of these on eBay for £20 😘
Disclaimer : I don't know how kick backs on RUclips work.
But maybe get a US link so you can make money with our purchases as well.
I'm devastated. I can't get them easily in Australia, they would cost me around $200+ to get one here.
FalseSecurity Look into the Taotronics humidifier! It’s only cool mist, but it has most of the same functions as the Levoit (humidity level settings, big tank etc). I was also looking into humidifiers on year end lists from reviewers and the Levoit came first, but the Taotronics one was always the 2nd most recommended. Just bought it recently for $70 on Australian Amazon, mine came in after Christmas. Probably the next best thing you can get.
@@johnnguyen8785 Thanks John! I'll be sure to look into it!! :)
Can you use distilled water in it?
Yes :)
I wouldn't take this humidifer if it was Free. It's a bottom fill. I'm amazed people still push this machine given the headache re filling it vs. a Top fill.
Great review. You should do more reviews!!!
I would hope the building is insured.
The levoit is one of the worst humidifier I have had, their plastic not strong, cause leaks, that humidifier lasted four months.
Yes they do seem overrated don't they?
