I bought this humidifier several months ago and absolutely love it but lately have gotten pretty lazy about its upkeep. I'd love to see a video on how you maintain/clean your humidifiers and if you have a schedule you do it on! Keep making wonderful content! 💛
I have two of these, and while I really like them I find the preset humidity levels inaccurate. I have mine set to 80% to keep it 65%. The one in my livingroom I have to fill every day, to every day and a half (I have another humidifier in my downstairs as well, an aquapure), but my bedroom one has been running a week on the same fill. This may depend on the type of heat you use and where you live, I'm in ontario canada and heat with oil which I've always found to be very dry. I also use it on cool mist because it's at dog face level and they have stuck thier faces in the mist stream before :P Great review and I would also recommend it to anyone needing a small humidifier. It's also incredibly quiet!
This has been my main humidifier since last spring and its been going 24/7. It works very well although it cannot combat the pellet stove, especially for the Callethea, and the Marantha bit the dust. Also our hard water leaves a thick white powder all over EVERYTHING in the house so using distilled water solves the problem.
I just love mine🙃 I got mine from the amazon warehouse for $47, brand new but had a marking on the packaging so they couldn’t sell it for full price, and couldn’t be happier ! I plan to get another in the future for the bedroom !
I’ve had this humidifier in my Amazon cart too for the longest time waiting and wondering if it’s better then the one I already have. So great to hear your review! I’ll be ordering it soon!
I gave my daughter a hint hint that I wanted one for Christmas and I got it today! I am so excited! Can’t wait to start giving much love to my plants with this humidifier! The reviews are spectacular! Love it🪴🌱
Levoit is a great brand. Their air purifiers are great too. I put a mini fan on top of my humidifier to push the mist even farther and keep it off the carpet. I would recommend keeping it 3-4ft above ground and add a mini fan if it’s in a room with carpet. I use tap water in mine because buying separate water for it would not be reasonable for me price wise… I’ve had it over a year and have only cleaned it twice and only had “build up” once.
im such a better plant mom bc of ur tips on humidity! i live in Vermont so the winter is DRY, i saw u mentioned this guy a while ago and its been a lifesaver for my bby boys :)))
That makes me so happy, you have no idea! I know that solving some of the humidity issues in my home made all the difference in the happiness of my plants! (:
Great review! You gave a perfectly detailed explanation. I bought one based on a recommendation from plant RUclipsr Kaylee Ellen and was super excited to see yours, recently. BE SURE to register your Levoit Humidifier within 2 weeks of purchase to extend your warranty an extra year! (There’s a card in the box, explaining everything.) I really appreciate the 2 adjustable mist nozzles that allow shared misting over a wider area. I currently have mine kind of centered among my mist-loving plants (calathea, fern, palm, orchids), with the nozzles set in opposite directions and, so far, so good!
Omg I bought this because I was sick but I also have lots of house plants (like over 50 so not too many) so I think they’ll love it. I didn’t realize so many plant you tubers used this 🤩
Thank you for this! I really liked how you talked about the tips for using it with plants but also tips for using it for humans like the remote and option to turn off the display 😊
I bought one on sale for 89 bucks two weeks ago, and glad I did, I find it uses way less water with the humidity setting and doesnt run 24/7 only when the humidity drops. Just bought my second one yesterday for another room, would highly recommend for your planta, mine are loving it
Thanks Harli, I've been wanting a humidifier for my plants. Seen this on other plant youtuber's vids. Saw that you made a vid about this humidifier and now I am ordering it on Amazon.
I got a Levoit in September before I had plants, it's a different model and I got it for my skin (I have rosacea that gets aggravated by low humidity) and I love it. Now that I have plants I'm thinking about getting a new one for my living room. Now that I saw this one I feel profoundly influenced hahahaha great video again, Harli!
Lol I've had this on my amazon cart for months now. Thanks Harli G for making us aware that it was on sale at the moment, great video as always. It will definitely be great not to have to refill my humidifier every day to keep my plants happy. Just placed my order. Can't wait to get it. Yey!!!!
Hi Harli Question will the essential oils harm the plants I need a humidifier for my plants as well . What I stared doing was boiling large pots of water on the stove top which made a difference in the health of my plants but I want a humidifier and if I can use my oils at the same time without harming the plants that would be great. Thanks in advance Barbara
Wow, awesome humidifier, I have researched a lot of humidifiers, and have two running right now, but love that this one has the warm mist option, and the directional spouts. I will probably invest in one for sure. Thanks so much Harli, always good to see you, you are glowing more everytime I see you. Take care, love you, bye for now.
I bought mine a week ago and I love it! The warm mist function is great! The unit looked brand new but didn't have a user manual nor the remote in the box... 😕 I've emailed amazon, let's hope they respond soon. Other than that, it's a really great humidifier and I will probably be getting a second one for my bedroom.
Tap water has minerals like sodium, calcium which can build up. I use a little vinegar on that white build up. Also add a pinch of salt, from advice years ago, to help prevent calcium salt build up. Not really sure if that helps but I continue to do it.
My space is a lot smaller so I didn’t get this model but I bought two from this brand ❤️!! One from my plants and one for me 😊, thanks for making this video!! I currently just surround my calathea with warmed up cups of water lol. Waiting for them to come in :x
I love this humidifier, I bout this same one a year ago because it was the only one that didn't need replacement filters, like most out there . It has far surpassed my expectations ,I need to get another for our bedrooms!
I have Brevipalpus mites on many of my succulents. Alcohol kills them . But it’s quite a chore to move 250+ plants and spray them weekly. I’m considering getting a humidifier and putting alcohol in it . Then letting the humidifier mist the alcohol onto my plants for me to save all the effort. Do you think this humidifier would coat the leaves evenly with the alcohol? Thank you for the in depth review. Looks very nice 😁
Warm mist have a heating coil/element heating the water, and it consume alot of electricity, and may cause slush inside you're humidifier... I always clean my humidifier once a week, or as soon as I smell a different smell from it, it get pretty potent really fast if you have forgotten about it...
Definitely need this in my life! I bought a cheap humidifier off amazon and it’s an absolute pain to use and did not even benefit my plants 😩 I think something like this is def worth the money!
Living in Utah is a struggle!! 😭 My house is at 35% humidity lately. Obviously running the heater isn't helping but it's freezing! 😂🤷 Your baby is going to love that humidity!
I have a different Levoit humidifier I bought for my plant room last year and it's been great so far. It has a large water reservoir that I only have to fill every other day. I wish mine had the two-way output like yours does. I end up having to move it around a lot.
Just ordered the humidifier. We have REALLY hard water, a lot of mineral content, so I hope this lasts longer than the other brand I purchased last year. I’m going to have to run the water through a filter first and hope that does the trick. I’m going to ask for another one for Christmas since we heat with wood and it gets so dry in here. I hope this solves my humid less air problem and I’m sure my newly purchased calatheas will enjoy more humid air as well. Wish me luck?
Dana Kim I have this humidifier too, and I just put a little water/vinegar mix into it. Let it sit, then wipe away any residue left with a paper towel.
i run mine all day in my living rooms and then at night if they’re empty, i take off the tanks and let them dry out overnight and pour out excess water from the unit. letting them dry out regularly prevents mold or mildew build up. i have one in my bedroom that i run overnight and let it dry out during the day. zero issues with keeping it clean after a year but i also only run it when it’s necessary since i have excellent humidity indoors except for when my radiators are on for a few months over the winter. i personally would not run any humidifier 24/7 unless i was sick.
Should the humidifier vents not be pointed right at the leaves? I'm noticing hard water buildup (white sediments) coating the leaves of my monstera. I'm sure they're happy with the humidity but the buildup blocks photosynthesis
Does the one humidifier produce enough for a room full of plants that need a higher humidity or would you say it’s more so for the plants closest to the machine? I want to get a fiddle leaf fig and a monstera and i’m wondering if this will keep both (and others) happy 🙃
@Bartlomiej Kurowski my living room is a open space, does the humidity have to be in a room where the moisture stays? My humidifier only covers 220 square feet. My living room is larger. However o have my plants closet to the humidifier
I recently bought this one, for the most part it's great though the humidity reading always reads higher than it is but that could be positioning i just keep it set a little higher. The other thing is not it's fault...it seems my electric heater remote has the same frequency and unless I'm careful the remotes keep altering the other's setting lol. Funny but annoying.
You mentioned you can’t run it as much in the cold weather. Why?? Because it makes the room colder or damages the plants?? I’m seriously asking lol because my cebu blue was in front of a cool mist humidifier during a cold week inside of my house and it died soon after from what I’m assuming was being cold. Anyway help please lol!
Vanessa yeah the cold mist can definitely do that if it’s already cold inside. I say that more though because cold air can’t hold as much moisture as warm air can so it ends up condensing on surfaces if the humidity is set too high. It can cause mold!
Harli G Omg I’m so glad you replied that makes so much sense! During the cold my windows get really wet when I’m running the humidifier! Thanks for the knowledge! 😊😅
I'm not in the market for a big humidifier right now, but I'm wondering if you think that using a small diffuser with just water (not oils) right next to a particular plant does anything significant for the humidity right in that immediate area?
Lol Love the video Just a Question and also kind of asking because mum wont stop pressing it on me, Do humidifiers make asthma worse like just using it for 55 or 60% or will it be just fine?
Question for anyone that can answer!! So the one number you see is the humidity level you set it to.. is the other one the humidity in your house? Mine is set to 60 and is also saying 71... I’m assuming that’s why it’s not misting??? I’m super surprised at the humidity level being 71 in my home. Wasn’t sure if I was doing something wrong. I have a grow light near it could that be affecting it also?? Thank you!!
I use a warm mist humidifier, for myself. I've noticed though that my calathea, and marantas, and ferns that are close to the humidifier get damaged. Do you experience that???
I love my Levoit! Since I got it my Begonia Maculata has started pushing out a new leaf, and my string of hearts and Scindapsus Pictus Exotica are too :) Bonus is that it helps keep the spider mites away - lol
I would love to see a video where you list Christmas gifts for plant lovers!!
Erin Kirkpatrick what a fun idea!!!
Yes I'd love to see that too!!
Yes!
Please. My boyfriend will be enthused lol.
YES!
I found 2 of these bad boys at a local thrift store for $4 each! They are definitely worth it and I love that I managed to save hundreds of dollars!
I just bought this puppy two weeks ago
It seriously is so good!
I bought this humidifier several months ago and absolutely love it but lately have gotten pretty lazy about its upkeep. I'd love to see a video on how you maintain/clean your humidifiers and if you have a schedule you do it on! Keep making wonderful content! 💛
I have one in my bedroom and I love it. It is a little difficult to clean in my opinion but worth it with all of the other perks!
I have two of these, and while I really like them I find the preset humidity levels inaccurate. I have mine set to 80% to keep it 65%. Sold! I love how it's not only good for the plants but also for us. 😊
I'm literally asking for this humifier for Christmas lmao
It's a good one seriously!
Christine Edwards me too.
Same🙋🏼♀️
SAME!! Looks like a good present idea
Christine Edwards SAME 😂
Hold out for a sale people. It always “on sale” on amazon for $89.99 I caught a real sale and bout it for $75. It’ll probably go down on cyber Monday
Just bought my second one yesterday for another room, would highly recommend for your planta, mine are loving it
Actual review starts at 2:09
I just got mine for Christmas this morning. It’s running now. Can’t wait to be able to properly give my review! Merry Christmas 🎄🎁
I ordered this yesterday! and your convinced me in doing it, it has been my dream humidifier since I saw your video.
Thanks Harli, I've been wanting a humidifier for my plants. Seen this on other plant youtuber's vids. Saw that you made a vid about this humidifier and now I am ordering it on Amazon.
Has this unit held up? I had two different levoit models that stopped working after a few months

Finally ordered mine !!! I’m so excited , had to come back to your video and watch it out of excitement lol
I actually got one recently and my calathea love it.
Welp I know what I'm asking for this Christmas
It's so worth it!
I just got mine yesterday! I unintentionally did the same and had it in my Amazon cart for 8 months 😂.
I just bought this model it’s so awseome🙌🏻
The large water reservoir and no filters are so convenient
yes! 100% It's so nice!
Pammy’s Planty Things hey twin🤪
Harli G I am definitely getting another for the upstairs, I will use your link🙌

I have this humidifier, and I love it. Keeps my tropical plants happy here in the desert!
Yes! Mine too! 🙏🏽👏🏽

I just brought one as well. I totally love it
hey Harli! would you know what essential oils can i use close ro a plant? many thanks x great video! x
I have one. My air is crazy dry so I do have to refill it everyday if I keep it at 50%. I absolutely love it and can’t wait to afford a second one 😂
Does the mist land on or lay on your hardwood floors or carpet? That is my main concern. Any mold or mildew issues?
I just purchased mines and it came in the mail yesterday. I mostly bought it for my prayer plants
My space is a lot smaller so I didn’t get this model but I bought two from this brand ❤️!! One from my plants and one for me 😊, thanks for making this video!! I currently just surround my calathea with warmed up cups of water lol. Waiting for them to come in :x
I already have 2 humidifiers, but why not add one more.
Spiced by Maggie hahaha I love your attitude. You sound like me 😂👏🏽👏🏽

I’ve been debating whether or not to get this so your review was so helpful!
Hey Harli,
Is it difficult to clean your humidifier? Doing research on the cleaning factors before I buy a new one! You are the best my dear heart!
I'm so glad you made this video. I've been on the fence about getting one to but wasn't sure if it was worth it.
Warm mist have a heating coil/element heating the water, and it consume alot of electricity, and may cause slush inside you're humidifier...
I always clean my humidifier once a week, or as soon as I smell a different smell from it, it get pretty potent really fast if you have forgotten about it...
i just receive mine yesterday, so far so good
Yay! Happy to hear it 🙌🏽
Definitely need this in my life! I bought a cheap humidifier off amazon and it’s an absolute pain to use and did not even benefit my plants 😩 I think something like this is def worth the money!
I just got one of these and I love it too! I'm about to talk about it in my next video, how funny! Anyway, it is an awesome humidifier!
Perfect timing! Haha we did the video basically together then :P It really is such a great humidifier!
I have that exact humidifier and I love it.
It's such a good one!
Living in Utah is a struggle!! 😭 My house is at 35% humidity lately. Obviously running the heater isn't helping but it's freezing! 😂🤷
Your baby is going to love that humidity!
such a struggle! UGH!
What did you mean “of course if it’s colder, I can’t have the humidity high” ? Concerned about my plants safety atm lol
Angela Timperio I think it’s just because colder air can’t hold as much water-it’ll just condense instead of staying in gas form
Mold in house
"Colder" she is referring to the weather outside. Which will effect the humidity inside.
I have the same one shipping to my house as we speak! My plants have been hating the MN cold/dry climate so this will save them!
Sammmme!!
Hello, I would like to ask how long do you run this humidifier in a day cause I just bought one from Amazon? Thanks
hi. where do you register? as i got my one off amazon. ?
Do you find it leaks at all?? Also I saw there is a black version. Any difference??
I like the warming option a lot, but currently don’t have the coins for one 😭
I have a different Levoit humidifier I bought for my plant room last year and it's been great so far. It has a large water reservoir that I only have to fill every other day. I wish mine had the two-way output like yours does. I end up having to move it around a lot.
"I love it! That's the review" 🤣🤣🤣🤣
You are glowing!!!! :) Also, I've been lusting over this humidifier for months now haha
Just ordered mine after watching your review thanks for the information harli
I need this and my plants need this Humidifier ..
Thanks Harli 💕💕💕
Just ordered the humidifier. We have REALLY hard water, a lot of mineral content, so I hope this lasts longer than the other brand I purchased last year. I’m going to have to run the water through a filter first and hope that does the trick. I’m going to ask for another one for Christmas since we heat with wood and it gets so dry in here. I hope this solves my humid less air problem and I’m sure my newly purchased calatheas will enjoy more humid air as well. Wish me luck?
I'm just curious, does it cause any furniture to warp?
Hi Harlie! How do you clean/wash the humidifier? 🙄
Great review Harli! Ps: You are so beautiful and are GLOWING! Definitely rockin’ the pregnancy glow! 😍
Does this humidifier has a replacement filter? I am looking for a humidifier without filter replacement.
Should the humidifier vents not be pointed right at the leaves? I'm noticing hard water buildup (white sediments) coating the leaves of my monstera. I'm sure they're happy with the humidity but the buildup blocks photosynthesis
About 4 months ago it was on sale on Amazon for $70 and I got one 💚 they are so amazing
Love the review. I live in Colorado, super dry here. The warm mist would be great for my skin and plants. Win win
Llama Cat yay! Fellow Coloradan!! I have this humidifier too and I LOVE it!
I know what you mean!
Does the one humidifier produce enough for a room full of plants that need a higher humidity or would you say it’s more so for the plants closest to the machine? I want to get a fiddle leaf fig and a monstera and i’m wondering if this will keep both (and others) happy 🙃
Shayla Mariah depends on how large the room is. I have my “high maintenance” plants closer to the humidifier.
I don’t have the humidifier (yet!) but I do have their air purifier and absolutely LOVE it!! 🙌🏼
Does it leave puddles on a floor or furniture? Should on keep it on high spot in a house?
@Bartlomiej Kurowski my living room is a open space, does the humidity have to be in a room where the moisture stays? My humidifier only covers 220 square feet. My living room is larger. However o have my plants closet to the humidifier
Does it use 280W all the time, or just when its pumping that water?
I LOVE mine! I got one after I saw it in LA at one of the plant shops over the summer
I bought one and I love it, good video.
I love your videos, harli ❤❤❤
Does this model light up? I’m torn between this and another Lavoit.
How well will it do in keeping its humidity level in negative pressure, can it stay stabilized?
I'm not in the market for a big humidifier right now, but I'm wondering if you think that using a small diffuser with just water (not oils) right next to a particular plant does anything significant for the humidity right in that immediate area?
Lol Love the video Just a Question and also kind of asking because mum wont stop pressing it on me, Do humidifiers make asthma worse like just using it for 55 or 60% or will it be just fine?
Damn! I don’t think I’d have my plants in one spot to actually utilize this the right way
Question for anyone that can answer!! Thank you!!
Love your videos 🥰
Great and helpful review and I always love your videos - always so informative and friendly and I've learned so much from you. Thank you very much :-)
How is the noise level? I want one for our bedroom where most of the plants are...my husband doesn’t like any noise at night. Thanks!
Its actually super quiet but it does click a bit when it comes on and off but nothing crazy. Best investment if you're a plant enthusiast!
OneSweetLife Agreed. Very quiet, but not completely silent. Doesn’t bother me.
Got one of these fantastic machine from levoit
Wow- Space X technology! The Cadillac of humidifiers! Orchids would love this, as well as anything save cacti.......
It is seriously so good! I really love it!
@@HarliG ..... And now we all know that 'humidity' is interchangeable with 'warranty' and of course is Latin for warranty! (Yes???)
Have a good week!
Yay I'm so glad that you got it☺😁
I use a warm mist humidifier, for myself. I've noticed though that my calathea, and marantas, and ferns that are close to the humidifier get damaged. Do you experience that???
Really?? Why do you think can be?
@@hola-rk3lr No clue.
@@jenniferfahr4705 and has it given you any more problems or just that?
Just that
I love my Levoit! Since I got it my Begonia Maculata has started pushing out a new leaf, and my string of hearts and Scindapsus Pictus Exotica are too :) Bonus is that it helps keep the spider mites away - lol
Hi, I’m looking for a Humidifier. Where can I get one like the one you have ?
is this the one with the pads in it? I saw a review for it not auto shutting off and I think it was this one and its been my concern for getting it
