It was very much giving “Mom’s here! HIDE!” It was nice to see him slip up a little when he tried to keep such a controlled facade in front of everyone else.
Enjoyed Qimir's interest suddenly peaking when Sol reveals how Mother Aniseya was able to create life. Qimir knows someone who will be very interested in that piece of information.
Remember, Qimir did not say he was looking for an Acolyte. He said he was looking for the power of two. Now, everyone assumes that means the Rule of Two. But he didn't say that. I think he is referring to the Dyad, the power of two force users bound to each other as one. So yeah, I don't think Qimir is looking for an apprentice to take over from Plagueis. I think he might be working with Plagueis to study the force dyad closer.
Imo, I feel like Plagueis attempted to influence life, an early experiment to what he'll manage to accomplish, and it happened to coincede with the moment Mother Aniseya tried to make life. Therefore, Mother Aniseya used Plagueis' power to make the twins. Or perhaps sb(Mother Koril) sensed Plagueis doing that, given Brendok is a vergence, and bound it. Still feel like there's one bit of information about the incident on Brendok we have yet to see. Maybe Plagueis was battling all the witches in tandem with Indara trying to free Kelnacca and that's why they died. Then again, a dreamer's gotta dream...
It is crazy that Sol spent all last episode telling Mae what happened, not to beg for forgiveness, but to try and justify his actions, but at the same time, I can understand it. If you spend 16 years lying to everyone, you eventually end up lying to yourself. You start to believe that you did the right thing and ignore everyone who says otherwise.
So nobody can have a negative opinion about anything without being called "haters"? The show is utter garbage, if you understand and know SW Lore which you obviously don't, then you know this series contradicts so much from before it.

Their fight scenes are pretty freaking epic. Really some of the best I’ve seen. I think it’s because it’s not about wild acrobatics, like no force jumping all over the place (a la Ep. 8/9) It’s just pure insane swordplay.
love to see how differently positive is their reaction. in comparison to others (if you know who i mean) who aren't really watching and just looking for things to complain.
I like how Sol’s choices, now matter how noble & well intentioned he saw them, were a mask to cover his flaws & insecurities as a Jedi. I don’t doubt that he truly loved Osha, but it goes to show that he was unable to express or even show his love for her when it came to the truth. In a way, Sol’s love for her was possessive from the moment he saw her on Brendok to his dying breath.
@@zerolegacy7821Yes!! Agreed!! Why isn't this talked about? Sol was very honest. He loved until the end even though others didn't get his awareness of the evil behind all this. He even tried explaining it to them just before his death, and they still didn't listen. Almost Christ-like. Even Osha was shocked after she killed him. She was possessed!
@@zerolegacy7821 Did you even watch the show. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣Ahhhhhhh isn’t that cute. You seem to confuse my opinion as a negative criticism towards Sol. Maybe watch the episodes again
@@zerolegacy7821 you’re the only one taking this too seriously. Judging by your responses, you’re the only one mad about this. I never said Sol is covering anything, if you stopped to actually think about it. I said they’re a mask for his insecurities. His possessive love for Osha makes plenty of sense especially since he’s not really apologizing for what he did. Watch his interactions w/ Mae & Osha again & he’s clearly stating out loud that he believes what he did was right. He’s not apologizing for ruining their lives, he double downed on his choices and he paid for it. Your reasoning that Sol wanted to take responsibility is flawed because he’s only doing it out of shame. Indara only convinced to lie because he ruined Osha’s life & fully knowing the Jedi wouldn’t make an exception for her as a Padawan would condemn Osha to living alone w/ no one to care for her.
@@zerolegacy7821 1) your second response reads off as an angry 2) this response comes off that you, & only you, are misinterpreting my statement. Outside of Sol wanting to turn himself in to the Jedi Council in ep. 7. You’ve not provided any other examples or counters to my argument that Sol is flawed. If you have none, fine, move on to someone else. If you don’t want to engage or think within the possibility that Sol’s “choices” to lie to Osha & his unwillingness to apologize are a mask for his guilt & insecurities as a Jedi. Then that’s your choice. But in ep. 8, Sol’s refusal to take accountability for his actions all in the name of Osha & his love for her, doomed him to be killed by her.
@@ryanpayne4401 Late to the discussion, but I think that part of it WAS "shame", believing that he did the right thing, for the wrong reason, or with the worst result if nothing else. He never intended to harm the coven or Mae. He simply wanted to give Osha the life she wanted, and made a shitload of mistakes to make that happen. Sol not only "doubled down" on trying to justify his actions that night, but "quadrupled down" on them. Sol simply couldn't accept the fact that he actually DID cause all of this to happen. From the incident on Undara with the coven, lying to Osha, failing to rescue Mae, leading Jecki to her death (as well as all of the other Jedi on that mission)..... So he "justified" all of his choices by lying to himself and everyone around him. Also, "A Certain Point of View" comes into play VERY heavily in this series. Such a tragedy COULD have been avoided, but if it had, we wouldn't have such a banger of a series, would we? And yes, I **LOVED** this series! To the Jedi, both Qimir and the witches were "evil", when all they REALLY wanted was to not have to answer to the Jedi Order, and be left alone. Look around our own world.... do you see the mirror being held up to it?
I love the twins black and white clothing, light and dark, Osha have problem with anger, Mae have problem with love. One person in too bodies, I love it.
Reminds me of Arcann and Thexan from SWTOR, except the personalities were reversed (Arcann in white is more "dark side" and Thexan in black is more "light side").
The jedi have a history of not charging ones who have lost their memory of their crimes... They typically use it as an opportunity to use them/bring them to the light. Let's remember the story of Revan.
Sol - can't sense Mae escaping. Vernestra - steps off ship and IMMEDIATELY feels Qimir's presence. I think Sol was to distracted by all that emotion for the twins so he wasn't 100% tuned in like he could've been. That's just my theory.
Considering it's reception and hate by soooo so many... I would doubt it ever gets a season 2... But hey, Disney's weird like that sometimes. So who knows? Maybe they make a season 2 despite the hate, which probably won't fare all too well for Disney's image... As per usual... We'll have to wait and see.
@@TheTrytix well the problem with all the hate is that it’s one of the most watched Star Wars shows on Disney+. Meaning, they’re making a lot of money off of it. I wouldn’t be surprised if there is a season 2
@TheTrytix I mean, Andor got greenlit for season 2 despite getting a lot of backlash from crazy people, I think Disney would continue Acolyte considering the view ratings are actually good.
@@itschewsday5252 Well... Whaddya know. People are literally so frustrated with the show they are hate watching it in huge masses... Great way to show how much people hate a show by showing how much they view it. XP
@@ashesGeek Well, then again, Andor is highly praised as some of the best Star Wars we have ever gotten ever. So fans REALLY want a second season of that anyways, which, much like the Acolyte, was always the intention. I don't know of any backlash for that series honestly. I mean, compared to the Acolyte, it's almost no hate at all.
Plagueis and Venamis (Qimir) are fellow apprentices of Darth Tenebrous. Plagueis is the true apprentice and a Sith, while Venamis is a false apprentice and technically not Sith due to the Rule of Two. Venamis is attempting to overthrow Tenebrous and Plagueis, and Plagueis is most likely on the island spying on him. In the original story, Venamis fails in his rebellion because Tenebrous already knows everything and is several steps ahead. Plagueis sneaking around on the island provides an explanation for Tenebrous' ability to stay ahead of Venamis.
I think Sol's death and how Vern used it to cover her own tracks will lead to the end of the high council and the high republic. The senate are already increasingly scrutinous of the Jedi, and if they find out what Vern is lying about, it will be all the worse for the Jedi. I'm sure his being named after the Sun was on purpose for this reason.
When you ask what will happen with Mae now, you are forgetting that Sol got officially blamed for all the murders. I think he would actually accept that would it be his choice if that meant Mae can live on.
@rocknroll1973I believe the suggestion is that Plagueis is currently “researching” vergences in the Force the same way the Jedi were in the season. And how seeing Osha and Mae being essentially one mind split into two bodies who were created by the Force is what ultimately inspires him to go into his work that Palpatine spoke about in Revenge of the Sith where Plagueis was able to use the Force to create “life” and save others from death. So basically the idea is that Plagueis got the idea to use the Force to create life from Osha and Mae and that’s what possibly lead to Anakin’s creation either because Plagueis or Palpatine used that knowledge or because the Force was reacting to them attempting to manipulate life with the Force
@rocknroll1973 it's the way he is shown here.. So dumb. no climax, no suspense.. And he was teased, Yoda too... As usual in the series : some good ideas.... very bad editing, acting, writing.
Plagueis is a HUGE character in lore, so to debut on a show in his era called Acolyte even though it wasn't about him shows his powerful presence in the past (like Yoda)- & opens questions on if he went looking for Qimir on purpose, is he Qimir's 1st Sith Master, was he or they sharing the planet and he just now found others were there. Either way, it also hints that the witches legacy was what led him to learn to create life. How? We'll find out, but I'd like if he absorbs Mae & Osha which makes Palpatine look 4 a vergence he can absorb or merge with eventually (Anakin/Vader). He didn't need a line or much time, the story told us it's about him. So, to include him is a cherry on top 🍒
Yea. Was hoping for more of an epic entrance. This felt more like a throwaway cameo, as if we already had the recognition. But it's Disney so I'm use to the underwhelming treatment of the material.
Not going to lie i was quite surprised to see that Osha bleed Sol's lightsaber in her anger and even use Force Choke on him, he even seemed to have accepted it by the end. I was quite surprised how Sol was not repentant at all for killing Aneseya. It seems that hiding the secret for so long he started to rationalize excuses for his actions, like care for Osha or making sure the Jedi learned about the vergence. Great lightsaber sequence between Sol and Qmir. Despite everything Sol was still a very skilled fighter to be able to win against a darksider who defeated 7 Jedi. And Venestra was indeed Qmir's master. Also all her talk about how Sol was a good man who let a mistake fester and change him it was so obvious she was talking about herself and whatever happened with Qmir. She was even lying to the senate and i bet she won't tell the whole truth to Yoda. She is going to use the now without memory Mae to hunt for Qmir and maybe will even end up with the same fate as Sol. I think she will tell the truth about Sol, Indara, Torbin and Kelnacca but hide the part about her old padawan, let it be some unknown Force user that she needs to investigate. I get the feeling trying to kill Qmir wasn't something sanctioned by the Jedi Council before. And so the cycle of lies done by the Jedi keep going until they are fully trapped in the Sith's web. By the way I think Plagueis was spying on them. Wonder if looking for future prospects or checking a possible competition. Great episode and we need a season 2 of this now!😁

This season was very off and on for me, but Qimir and Sol really made the show for me. Qimir has to be one of my favorite dark siders I've seen on screen. I hope there is a season two and I hope they leave the cringe aspects in season 1. They left a lot of potential with this finale. Can't wait to see where they go with Plagueis, Qimir and Osha.
In the first episode Osha reacted in anger when Yord told her that Indara was the one putting her out of the Order. "It was my decision". In the third one, baby Osha expressed her fear about the ascension, claiming that she didn't want to do it, wanting to have her own thing beyond the congregation. When she stoped Sol before he could said "Because I love you" and went harder to make him suffer when he said "it's ok" I saw it as Osha not wanting Sol to own her jump into the darkside, stopping him from having any kind of control above an act she was feeling as her own doing with anybody power being able to take no control over it. She was looking for power. Her own power / own thing, and she fought to avoid Sol from take any credit or power over it

@@paulmccloud9395 Answer. I'm not referring to critiques. And I'm not saying you have to love the show. I have my own critiques as well. No reason to get worked up.
The voice of the mysterious person that Vernestra spoke to over audio call before Mog informed her about Sol’s location sounded a lot like Sam Witwer doing his Palpatine voice. That to me suggests that it was either Palpatine himself or Sheev Palpatine’s father, Cosinga Palpatine.
I love how excited you guys are about the show while still being properly critical and still having fun! A lot of Star Wars "die hards" are pretending this shit wasn't super cool. Things can be good and bad. It is possible to like something and still look at it critically. People should be critical of what they like, but throwing it all away as trash is a straight up subjective lie. That Sol/Qimir fight was insane. Based. Seeing a Kyber Crystal being bled in live action. Based. IDC, y'all are lying if you can't see how cool that is, even if you don't like the show.
THIS is the reaction I've been waiting for! I'm super sad about Sol, but I still want a season 2 SO BAD. And I want it to actually focus on the Sith this time; I need more Qimir and Osha!
I always found Plagueis to be intriguing… I never thought of him as scary… until now. That was some straight up nightmare fuel. And I don’t get scared easily. 😱
she gave him a choice while he was behind his meditative force field, he took down the force field, apologiezed and then drank the poison. he choose to end his life rather than go to the jedi. in fact he choose death over continueing to sit there in his untouchable trance. so yes these were all choices that he made. he killed himself. all mae did was bring poison and give him a choice that she couldn't back up.
My go to for SW content. I get constructive criticism...I have lots for the show, but I am really tired of the negativity for the sake of negativity. A bro/sis duo complained about looking off into the sunset...like Luke and others have done to end a movie/show?
Interesting how in channels that hate the show you only find hate comments about the show but here not a single hate comment about the show. Shows you how divided the fans are and that's sad
I don’t give Mae the Torbin kill. He made that choice under his own agency. She gave him an out and he took it. It’s no different than handing someone a gun. They’ve still gotta go through with it.
@KyleKatarn If you watch the first episode with the twins, Osha is actually the FIRST to try and choke the butterfly. Go back and watch. She stares at it, and then it starts to quiver and shake, but she lets it go, either because she doesn't understand what she's doing and it freaks her out, or she simply fails. Either way, Mae steps into the scene and ends up being the one to choke the butterfly, leading us to believe that Mae is the "dark" one. But Osha tried to do it first. That was my first hint that they were the same. Also, so long as one remembers, both will remember. This will be the key to Mae's memory returning. Calling it now.
Mae won't be prosecuted or found guilty because Sol was blamed for all the deaths. That's what Vernestra was saying about making it right...she is free and clear in the eyes of the law and the Jedi and can start a new life.
i don’t know why a lot of the fanbase is so incapable of just trying to have fun with some of these shows. they’re not perfect but they don’t need to be, the only way to improve is to learn from mistakes. The Acolyte can only improve from here

Osha was always going to kill whoever was responsible for her Mother's death. I think Sol was afraid of this, even subconsciously, and justified not telling her in order to avoid not only ruining her dream of being a Jedi, but to keep her from turning to the Dark Side. Though, it's likely him lying only ensured that outcome.
@@zerolegacy7821well I think its supposed to show that while the Jedi do aspire to be these great champions of peace, very few are actually able to find the balance to do so. Indara was the least affected by what happened, Sol's grief and regret kept steadily building over the years, Kelnacca went into a self imposed exile, and Torbin felt so guilty over causing the coven's death that he willingly poisoned himself. These are not perfect and just jedi like Qui gon, they are flawed and irrational, sad as it is.
@zerolegacy7821 I think Torbin felt guilty just being a PART of what happened. Imagine that, being responsible for the death of so many people and tearing apart a family as well. While he was not solely responsible, his part in the incident and then lying about what happened to the Order and to Osha about her family must have just worn Torbin down until he was desperate for absolution which eventually appeared in the form of Mae.
Something I’ve noticed a lot of people having issues with is Osha’s expression during the Force Choke scene, with some asking why she looked so neutral as she bleeds Sol’s crystal. I personally had no issue with it because we see her rage earlier! When she confronts Mae in her old bedroom, her reaction to the news that Sol killed their mother and the trust she placed in the Jedi being broken was to immediately lash out in violence and anger. This is the visible dip into the dark side and her heavier emotions. When she hears Sol’s confession, her rage is still there, but it gives way to disappointment and heartbreak, which are also powerful emotions. When Sol tried to explain himself, she says “Stop talking” because it’s all too overwhelming, but he doesn’t and keeps trying to make her see his perspective. By this point her emotions have become silent rage, which is arguably deadlier because she has clarity that becomes resolve, which in this case was a crushing Force Choke. All her rage, sadness and heartbreak are still there but have been honed and sharpened to a deadly point, which is why she accidentally bleeds Sol’s kyber crystal. It’s like when we make mistakes in our own lives and want whoever we’ve wronged to rage at us to make us feel better about our mistake but it always feels more frightening when their anger is quiet and calculated. After Sol dies, all those emotions are released, which is why she starts crying. I personally think that is way more powerful than showcasing Osha’s anger visibly
I was half expecting Rayencourt to add, "And then what happens when one of you snaps and helps a secret dark wizard manipulate his way into leadership and then engineers a proxy war in order to consolidate power while ostensibly championing democracy, then exterminates your entire order with a random numerical input that sounds like a fry cook's ticket, then converts the Republic into a 40-year fascist machine that deliberately buries all knowledge of your order until an unlikely farm boy blows up their space station and converts the guy who snaps back to the good side for two seconds, causing the guy who snaps to be erroneously lionized by multitudes of different people until the end of time, even after the secret dark wizard is resurrected as a clone abomination who can only be stopped by the farm-boy-trained-daughter of the dark wizard's clone offspring, who will then go on to rebuild the image and function of your order however she wants?

@@zerolegacy7821
1) your second response reads off as an angry
2) this response comes off that you, & only you, are misinterpreting my statement.
Sol means Sun, and Qimir means Moon.
One person being two person makes no sense lol
There is literally nothing as awesome as watching SW with real fans. THANK YOU for all the wonderful reactions & conversations. Love you guys! ❤
I was waiting for your reaction to Darth Plaeguis and it did not disappoint! Really hoping this show gets a season 2!
Thanks for explaining this.

Sol didn’t sense her cause his mind is all f’d up being back at that place & so clouding his senses. It’s sad :( I’ll miss him
When you ask what will happen with Mae now, you are forgetting that Sol got officially blamed for all the murders. I think he would actually accept that would it be his choice if that meant Mae can live on.
😂 I literally had CHILLS seeing Plagueis
really ? he's apeairng the worst way.... COnsider his imoortance.
Great episode and we need a season 2 of this now!😁
The fact that you theorized that Master Venestra pinned the whole thing on Sol before watching it is… impressive. Most impressive.

TRUEEEE THEY ARE BETTER THAN THE HATER OS SW THEORY

You don't like "DEI hires" and it's a "Disney agenda" , just the fact that you call it "Disney Star Wars" tells me you feel the same but you're just a coward , so cowardly you created a anonymous account. Stop being a coward. Star Wars is made by Lucasfilm. If you don't like the stories because there's a black female in the lead and the majority of the cast are minorities and women, it says more about the type of "fan" you are. Kick rocks
man. i love you guys. had to unsub so i wouldn't get spoiled when I checked youtube (cuz I waited to binge) but I resubbed. thank you for not spreading toxicity and hatred
Jumped onto this reaction like Han doing the Kessel run! You guys just fucking get it! Your reaction is mine mirrored. That Plagueis reveal was the chef's kiss. Bring season two now. Pandora's box has been opened!! 😍😍😍😁👍
That was Darth Plagueis hiding on the island and at end we got to see Yoda from behind
Thank you for the reactions to such an incredible season Kyle and Bendu, you are such masters. May the force be with you always.
Subscribe to the channel, here you are real fans.
After the season finale, I re-read Bane's Path of Destruction. Kamir's shop scene totally reminds me of Gorshik's cantina scene when he talks to Dessel about joining the Sith.
I loved how hyped you two are for all the cool stuff. Your reactions are so much fun - this is the energy I want in my Star Wars 😁
So much to digest and work through after this ... and season two cannot come soon enough!
That was the best "WTF!!!!!" of 2024!!
Extremely great show, season 2 👍
