Thanks David for this shootout. I have a 1978 German und a 1986 UK version, both from my BC 13 box sets. YS is the only album for which I did not bought the 2012 remastered version. Instead I also chose the songtrack version which sounds absolutely great. BR from Munich
Most people don't like tnis one but it has sentimental value I was getting back into the Beatles and I got this for a 16th birthday present from my mother. I was disappointed the background music didn't include Nowhere Man because it was my favorite piece, but I love Geotge Martin's score over all. Not msny fans will say that.
WHAT ABOUT THE SAME ORDER IN SIDE ONE ,AND SIDE TWO SHOULD IT INCLUDE PERHAPS 1968 SINGLES LIKE HEY JUDE, LADY MADONNA, THE INNER LIGHT, REVOLUTION, AND THE ORIGINAL VERSION OF ACROSS THE UNIVERSE THAT WAS RECORDED ON FEBRUARY OF 68 ?
In my humble opinion, the song track is the best version of this album. Amazing sound
