As per the TV's it the Capacitors in them. The larger Electrolytic type capacitors have a life, due the dielectric degrading over time. It is amazing how easy it is to change the caps and how they come back to life.
15:45 - best part like you look at the TV, convincingly surprised, and then the advertisment. 😂 Sometimes you watch content creators with the wildest placements; not matching to their content at all or just reading down a script for 15s and done entirely but your combinations of project and placement is literally brilliant. I liked it more pristine honestly. And this is coming from someone that LOVES grungy apocolypse stuff. I feel like keeping it clean and just having it be a prewar kitchen would have been a cool concept too.
You guys are simply amazing! I have done some theater dressing and your initial set was spot on 50’s and then “Poof!” The weathering brought it home!!! You have created a Fallout kitchen and you both (including your buddy) extremely talented, just so damn good at everything. Thank you for sharing this lovely environment with all of us.

If a tv hasn't been on in a while, you have to use a variac. It's a thing that allows you to control the voltage and bring it up slowly. Otherwise you cook the vacuum tubes in them. It's the same for vintage amplifiers.
This is super cool! The non weathered version feels so homey it could be an actual vintage kitchen; the end result, incredible. And the 1950s ad was scary accurate haha
as a huge fan of the Fallout franchise since Fallout 3, I want to say THANK YOU for this beautiful tribute! the retro aesthetics are beautiful with all the attention to detail (I still have recurring dreams of picking up every Sugar Bomb I could find... wish you added a tattered teddy bear too) & although I felt a bit of heartache to see your beautiful work weathered, I have to say the end result was worth it! 🤔perhaps you'd consider adding a light through the counter to turn your blue Nuka Colas into awesome Nuka Cola Quantum glowy lights... just a thought. Cheers & looking forward to your next epic reation!

3:30 😯 OOH That color is stunning!! What is the hex decimal value of that color :O I'd love to use it in my kitchen/bar. I am loving this project. A 50's themed fallout bar/kitchen is such a great idea!! I'd personally love to go for that retro burger themed restaurants but I do love this color, maybe like a vintage diner theme with that color is something I could do.
For the first time ever I didn’t skip the ad read. That transition was perfect and it was motivated by Hans’s whole project with the tv! Mwuah, chef’s kiss!
The weathering is amazing (I was a theatrical designer in a previous life)... but it hurts me to see such a beautiful 50's kitchen "destroyed". :( On the other hand... You realized your design fantastically. I love that you thought about the little things like "this is where people's hands would constantly touch". It's that attention to detail that really sells a set.
There is literally nothing left to do here, it's perfect in every way. 12k hours in Fallout 4 alone, by far my favorite game franchise. One day when I get a house I will have a fallout bar/room and will certainly get inspiration from this. Ya'll are amazing.
Building this is almost like building a movieset, if YT ever dies you should go to the movie industry as set designer!, I'm in awe of what you are able to do, while looking at this wall already for a year knowing I have to sand it and wallpaper it or paint it. You should invite a bartender and make some apocalyptic drinks
That s actually a very cool idea👀
@@Hadri_ARTi know right?
Make a robot bartender?
@@eclat4641 uh that s even cooler ahah like a old gen 🤖
@@eclat4641 such a good idea wow
It's so cool looking, love this style. I waited for the stove to be put in, I think I never saw a kitchen without one until now.
Also, Martina looks so pretty in that commercial.
This looks sick! I love 50s inspired kitchens and the apocalyptic aspect is just *chefs kiss*
Retro-futurism has been making such a comeback in the home decor space , this is such a grungy & nerdy take on it , i'm obsessed ❤ Well done guys !!!
martina becomes more chaotic every video and I am absolutely here for it
As per the TV's it the Capacitors in them. The larger Electrolytic type capacitors have a life, due the dielectric degrading over time. It is amazing how easy it is to change the caps and how they come back to life.
Seeing Nori all curled up on that custom rug warms my heart
This single video has made me so excited to own my own house just so I can do stuff like this to make it as unique as possible
You do some of the coolest projects. Gives me so many ideas for my own personal builds.
15:45 - best part like you look at the TV, convincingly surprised, and then the advertisment. 😂 Sometimes you watch content creators with the wildest placements; not matching to their content at all or just reading down a script for 15s and done entirely but your combinations of project and placement is literally brilliant.
Found you through your trip to canada for an LTT-Video and since Im trying to watch as much of your videos as possible. Im really glad you visited Linus - otherwise I wouldnt have found you. 😅
Thanks for the entertainment with your bright shining personality. 🙏🏻✨️
As a big Fallout fan, I love that awesome work you did on that beautiful kitchen!
It only misses a… Mr Handy, of course! 😜
that would be a bit much tho, dont fit in a Scandinavian home, even if´s a very "extreme" home for our standard 😂
If only 😂❤
This turned out so awesome nerdforge!! If your up for the project…. A Last of Us addition could be a pretty sweet new project. like a sitting room attached that’s been corrupt by fungus… just an idea but keep doing what you guys do! Can’t wait to see what you do next!
You know, if you ever get tired of this youtube thing, you have a built in skill set to open your own FX company. Costumes, weapons, sets. You really do it all.
Love it! You managed to get the grimy aesthetic without sacrificing the functionality of the kitchen. The bar looks awesome!
Martina's acting and communication skills are top-notch compared to her first videos.
I'm starting to find the over-reacting really annoying.
@@maximedelmasNah, she's just having fun and more confident on camera now. She's not over acting. She's just comfortable!
The kitchen is 10/10. Im chocked aahah BUT ALSO, the video in the END?! AS A photographer, i need to give u all the credits for the AMAZING cinematographic lightning. bravo!
I would love to see Martina and Hansi make an escape room set it would be AMAZING!
That final reveal was legitimately emotional. Incredible job
That fridge would look so much better with a shinny clear coat on top.
We want to see more carpet stuff! That carpet is insane!
Totally :)

"Mhm, that's a... texture" -- Martina, 2023😂 6:28
The tv's tubes probably just need to be replace since they worked at first.
That slanted kitchen looks like the same kitchen both my grandmother's had! Great work as always! At this rate your are going to have a full on museum in your workshop! You should open it up for a tour sometime!
The good thing about a post apocalyptic kitchen: you never have to clean it again to make it looking even more real 😂
Watching this build never gets old. I LOVE Fallout, and you are so funny with your comments and antics as well as creative with this build. It is so perfect I want one like it myself. Amazing job, simply beautiful work.
You know Martina is super happy when she laughs like a chicken
For the first time ever I didn’t skip the ad read. That transition was perfect and it was motivated by Hans’s whole project with the tv! Mwuah, chef’s kiss!
The weathering is amazing (I was a theatrical designer in a previous life)... but it hurts me to see such a beautiful 50's kitchen "destroyed". :(
On the other hand...

Our lone survivor… is making a business… at a bar…
He’s the lone survivor
Who buys his drinks?
How does he make a business selling beer to nobody
13:24 Amo la cara de Martina en este momento, 😂 es como si dijera con su mirada " Hans acabas de matar el televisor"
Building this is almost like building a movieset, if YT ever dies you should go to the movie industry as set designer!, I'm in awe of what you are able to do, while looking at this wall already for a year knowing I have to sand it and wallpaper it or paint it.
Your talent is amazing, the creativity is out of this world. My talent is called procrastination :)
The chicken animation with your laugh at 4:53 absolutely S E N T me~! 😂 ❤
The kitchen looks really great! The only thing missing is the radiation 😂
Well, yeah, and that it has no running water, no drain for the sink and I don't think any of the appliances actually work. But it looks cool!
@@Elurin Functional post apocalyptic style running water can be accomplished with a foot pump and couple of 5-7 gallon jugs under the sink, one for fresh water and another for waste water from the drain.
As a massive fallout fan and fan of the channel this is one of the coolest things I've ever seen
So many cool devices and all the decoration that fit perfectly in there. So nice Hansi made this TV work.
Ohh no, Martina, what did you do to your hand (again)? 11:22 (and the poor left one again 🥲)
Gosh Martina,
overflowing with confidence and energy in this episode 💥
The add was amazing and it was so weird watching you weather down the kitchen 😄
One detail that would’ve made it extra neat was if the space behind the window was a screen showing a Fallout town, and there’s a secret button somewhere that plays an animation of the town outside being nuked
U FORGOT BAR CHAIRS
These videos where you build entire ROOMS are quickly becoming my favourite! ❤
The weathering just hurt so much to watch. I know it was the vibe they were going for and yes it totally loooked perfect as if out of the game, but I would have been totally incapable of doing that to such a lovely kitchen that I had spent so many hours painting. The turquoise wardrobes were just sooo gorgeous to look at, the colour was incredible, I loove that colour, its my favorite, my whole craftroom is decorated in that colour, white and gold. Please excuse me, I'm just going to cry a little in the corner for the death of the 50's kitchen I would have liked to have. Great job by the way with the video ad, that was such a cool transition. Back to crying.
Watch out, Spiff is already walking towards your Kitchen. He will try to raid it for some TEA!
