- Now that the A4 B5 is getting on (1994-2001) one of the main common issues will fading or pixellating of the FIS display.
This is a detailed teardown, FIS LCD removal and rebuild where i discuss some of the finer points of the repair. If there are any more questions please get in touch.

What is the Temperature used on Air heater for remove old lcd?
Artem I set at 400 C with low blower.
Hi, is there a way to rebuild a faulty (not working) speedometer. I do not think it is electrical, but is there a way to test and conform that too. the problem resides in the cluster nowhere else. Thanks.
Probably the motor for the needle has died. They can be replaced.
@@ianpgonzaga can you point me to where I could be shown how to replace it and buy the motor. Unless I need to have it done. I see you are in Australia, correct?
@@mptrader1620 yep I'm in Australia. Once you open it up you can see the motor just unclips.

@@ianpgonzaga Thanks again. - I will take a closer look at mine. It is a little different even though it i is the same year.Maybe it can be fixed since replacing the motor is unlikely.
@@mptrader1620 just find a good know working replacement unit.
Could you tell me your set up to test the cluster?
Literally a green and blue plug wired up for power, ground and K line to OBD2 port. Like a three way connection.
