Fun Fact: The broadcaster in this race was Ralph Camargo (1912-1992), mostly known for working in a series of racing films called Dynamic Films throughout the 50s and 60s, and ending in 1978. He was mostly a voiceover announcer in many NASCAR and IndyCar races, including the 1964 Daytona 500, 1961 Indy 500, 1958 Southern 500, etc.
In my opinion, Ralph deserves more praise and recognition in both IndyCar and NASCAR because he was an amazing announcer and had very memorable and exciting calls for both motorsports.

Thanks for sharing the info about the announcer for this race, as the video ended without showing the closing credits.
The announcing voice in this film sounded familiar, but up until now, I was not aware of the name behind the voice.
      Ralph was a remarkable talent.

@davidmotorsportsmlbguy i have found Ralph's narration up to at least the 1978 Southern 500. I loved his..."look out, look out !"

The "colorization" of this race is OUTSTANDING. The most clear & vivid i have ever seen in a race of this era. Thanks NASCAR !

If you check out the racing reference website about this race, it reveals the precarious reliability of the cars back in that era, as the maladies the cars had were numerous in this race, items that modern NASCAR racers rarely face:
    Frame failure
    Rear end failure
    Ignition failure
    Overheating
    Head gasket
    Pushrod
    Gas leak
    Several blown engines.
The marginal reliability of the NASCAR racers in the 1960s added an element of suspense to the races that is nearly lacking nowadays.
