Hey, everyone. Yeah, I can't get into 2020 either. Indeed the end of the world. Been downhill ever since, really. I did manage, though, to get a list of FOUR albums for the year (three of which, of course, are by "legacy artists"), so here goes:
    4. Rough And Rowdy Ways - Bob Dylan
    3. McCartney III - Paul McCartney (Actually, Jesse McCartney. Ha, remember him? Anyway, yeah, Macca's voice isn't what it used to be, but since these are new songs and it's part of a trilogy of albums where he was basically goofing around and experimenting in his studio, it works. At least for me, it does. I actually ended up ranking it as my favorite of his proper solo albums, meaning as opposed to with anything with Wings. Yes, I liked it that much. Go figure. Could it be because it was 2020? Not ruling that out.)
    2. Songs For General Pubic, er, For The Pubes, er, General Public - The Lemon Twigs (Are the general public and the pubes sort of the same thing? Nevermind. Yes, I agree with you Paul that they would get WAY better after this, but this is certainly a good album nonetheless.)
    1. Letter To You - Bruce Springsteen (I do prefer Bruce with a band more than him on his own. Btw, that was Girls In Their Summer Clothes Paul and Tommy were referring to, which is off Bruce's 2007 album Magic, which I think is his most underrated album which I'm sure I commented about for the 2007 albums video. Letter To You is his second best of his later albums for me.)
James Hunter a white British singer with a black soulful voice. Oh, like Rick Astley? ;)
Alice Cooper had his own chocolate milk? Never knew that. Kudos to him since usually when a rock star like him releases some sort of drink, it's usually either booze or coffee. Maybe when you get to 2024, you can just let RUclips put in ad breaks at those spots, huh? Ha!
Perhaps if Cherie Currie and Joan Jett can get along despite their differing political views, they can probably make some music along with Lita, though I say without Sandy West, it certainly isn't the Runaways. And I highly doubt Jackie Fox would wanna participate as well.
SO right on about Steven Tyler. Bless him and the rest of Aerosmith.
Forgot to mention this in my comment for your favorite/least favorite vocalists video, but I just find it interesting that Crystal put Judy Garland on her least favorites list and yet put Judy at Carnegie on her list of favorite 1961 albums. Ha.
And now, it's favorite guitarists coming up. I have a no. 1 but I doubt many will like it. One reason that it isn't Hendrix (all due respect to him) but also because of some of the stuff this guitarist has been saying as of late (as well as crap he'd said many years ago which he has seen apologized for and seemed to mean it) and certain causes he's been supporting which I for one don't support nor agree with myself, but still think he is or was a dynamite guitarist. Just a warning in case I decide to put together a list of top 10 guitarists next week. Ha. See 'yas then. :)

I am so pleased you listened to Jarv Is, which does indeed hark back to the halcyon days of Britpop. It is, in my opinion, a high point of Mr Cocker’s late-period career.

Well awwright...hello my fellow music lovers! Happy Thursday to y'all!! So what are we talking about today...oh no! 2020...ugh!! I can go through this. I've made it in the 2000s and 2010s, I can go through 2020. So today I have 1 honorable mention and my top 5 (it's 2020, I needed something to put on my list.) Oh and my worst of 2020 as well. So let's go through this together...

    3. Sparks - A Steady Drip, Drip, Drip (love those Mael brothers)
    2. The Psychedelic Furs - Made In Rain (I agree with everything you said Paul)
And my number one album of 2020 is:
    1. The Weeknd - After Hours (now I'm not the biggest fan of The Weeknd but with this album really blew my mind when he was going for the 80s New Wave sound. Especially with Blinding Lights).
Now onto my all time favorite, the worst of 2020:

    Anything by Taylor Swift
    Anything by Meghan Trainor
    Anything by Ariana Grande
    Lil Wayne - Funeral
    Anything by Theory
    Anything by BTS (ugh!)
And the worst of 2020 goes to:
ANYTHING BY MEGAN THEE STALLION (I CANNOT STAND HER! She's not beautiful, she's terrible, she's garbage...why is she famous? Trust me, I have more female rappers in the next couple years I will discuss not in a good way).
Glad I got that out of my chest. That's my list and can't wait to see everyone's picks of 2020 (good luck lol)

@@christianewen3227 Hey Christian my friend!! Didn't really have a great week but was happy to be here with y'all though. Thank you so much. I knew about the Furs album but with Sparks, around last weekend I was digging up what was released around 2020 and saw their name, listening to the album and they blew me away. Cheers, Damar

@@UniversalBlackRocker Hey, Damar! Great to hear from you, my friend and many thanks for taking the time to write back 🙏
I am sorry to hear your week wasn’t the best, but hearing you’re happy to be here, on AISB, with your community of fellow music fans, makes me happy too 😊 Let’s hope next week is a better one 👍🏻
Sparks are such a special band! Their consistency levels over so many years is truly remarkable, and I am delighted they made your list for 2020.
      Best wishes,
      Christian

having grown up in the 60s and 70s, then being an adult thru the 80s and 90s-i really haven't heard much that impressed me in this or the last decade. damn shame. seems like there aren't many musicians anymore just computerized crap. so sad.

We told them all to get off our lawn and now they just try to shout their favorite albums from the sidewalk but we can't hear them clearly enough
