Hello freaks, misfits and outcasts! So, yes, albums of 2018. I only have two. So, here goes:
    2. Egypt Station - Paul McCartney (I did see that carpool karaoke when it aired on James Corden's show, saw it here on the RUclipss and even saw the TV special they did of it as well. As someone who's been a huge Beatles/McCartney fan since 1989 or so, it was indeed a great treat and quite an emotional watch for me. Btw, there wasn't a family that lived at Paul's childhood home. It was the woman that runs it since it's owned by the National Trust. I'm sure she knew they were coming. Then again, maybe not.)
    1. Come Spy With Me - Palmyra Delran and the Doppel Gang (Peters off by the second half of it, but overall, a fun listen. Yeah, frankly, my choices for this year aren't really that spectacular to me, all due respect, but there you go.)
Lake Street Dive is a band I've been meaning to get into but either never had the time or been too lazy or been listening to other things or all of the above. Ha. I think they have a new album out now, actually. I mentioned the Lemon Twigs in 2016 and I know their Go To School album was released this year, but I haven't heard it yet. I did hear their next couple of albums, though. More on them when we get there. And I never heard that Janelle Monae album either, but I will one day. Perhaps the same day I listen to Lake Street Dive and the Lemon Twigs' Go To School. ;)
White Denim. I prefer Blue Denim which was the "other" band the lead singer had that only I'm aware of.
Haven't heard that Derek Smalls album nor that Sting/Shaggy album but I do remember when they came out. I have a feeling the Derek Smalls album might be at least a LITTLE better than Sting and Shaggy. At least with Derek, you know what you're getting yourself into.
The only Kylie album I ever heard and frankly have any interest in is Fever. The one with Can't Get You Out Of My Head on it. I'm sure I mentioned it in my comment for the 2002 albums.
Was never a fan of Journey (at one point, I friggin' HATED them) but I can't help but respect Steve Perry for the fact that, much like Robert Plant, he doesn't want to reunite with his old band and prefers to do his own thing whether his fans like that or not. VERY cool on his part, I must say.
I seriously think Kanye needs help.
God, those Reba KFC ads. Ugh...
Pink Floyd did have some cool and interesting album covers. Might even do a ranking of them myself next week. Hehe.
    PEACE! :)

And Belly - a mere 23 years between studio albums. 🙃 Their 1993 debut was also an AOTY for me.
I loved the first three Franz Ferdinand albums but their fourth studio album was a bit disappointing. The one from 2018 was a nice comeback. (Hope you enjoy it if you are able to give it a listen. Unfortunately it dropped a few spots since my latest listen but still strong.)

Ok, I struggled to fill out my top ten for 2018. How much did I struggle? I almost put Spaceman on here… Luckily, I found some other better albums. I’ve got ten albums here, but I can only stand by my top three, if I’m being honest. Ready? Here we go!
    10. Beautiful Life, Rick Astley
    9. Wildness, Snow Patrol
    8. Down the Road Wherever, Mark Knopfler
    7. A Brief Inquiry into Online Relationships, The 1975
    6. Out of the Blues, Boz Scaggs
    5. Television Themes, Matt Barry
    4. Look Now, Elvis Costello & the Imposters
    3. Egypt Station, Paul McCartney
    2. AM Waves, Young Gun Silver Fox
    1. Surf Music, Paul Williams
That Paul Williams album is fantastic. It isn’t the Paul Williams you’re thinking of. This is Paul Williams, the comedian from New Zealand. I was introduced to this music when I watched my favorite comedian James Acaster’s brilliant show, Cold Lasagne Hate Myself 1999. (Acaster uses clips from some of these songs in the interludes of that show.) The album is fantastic, and I LOVE it, but I’m also willing to bet actual folding money that all three of y’all will HATE it…

Crystal mentioned Joe Satriani and polyrhythms in one show!?!? Solid list. The 'International Lover' story left your viewers with a lot of questions.
Firepower is a really good post Painkiller album w a good/tight production. Rob sounds great with very few heavily pitch adjusted/cheesy screams if any
Kylie Minogue - Aphrodite is an excellent album with some poppy goodness. That was her last decent album.

    3. J. Cole - KOD
    2. Kendrick Lamar & Various Artists - Black Panther: The Album
And my number one album of 2018 goes to:
    1. Janelle Monae - Dirty Computer (Love this album..."I Like That", "Make Me Feel", "Pynk"...even the film based on the album was amazing with Tessa Thompson. This should've won the Grammys Album Of The Year.)
    Now my worst:
    Anything by Doja Cat (blech)
    Anything by Camila Cabello
    Anything by Migos
    Anything by 6ix9ine (blech)
    Anything by Tory Lanez
    Anything by Lil Yachty
Stone Temple Pilots - Stone Temple Pilots
    Anything by Twenty One Pilots
    Anything by Fall Out Boy
I could go on and say mostly anything and everything in 2018 but it'll be obvious but the worst of 2018 goes to:
Anything by Cardi B!!! (And there's more worst to come especially another female rapper that Cardi collaborated that I cannot stand)
So that's my list of 2018. But I will say in 2019, I do have a surprise for my number one list and it's someone who came out with an album that definitely puts a smile on my face. Who is it? Y'all gonna have to wait and see. Can't wait to see everyone's lists.
