Apart from Sony's Playstation marketing division, everything else is absolutely trash. They rely too much on name recognition, which they do not have in the phone industry apart from a few enthusiasts. It's a real shame cause the Xperia phones are so good.

I preferred Sony phones in mid 2000s when they were with Ericsson. My first smartphone was Huawei, though I don't remember the exact model. After that I had Xperia M and I again fell in love with Sony phones. Since then I had Z5 Compact and am currently using XA2 Ultra. Should get Xperia 5 in a few days.
In all my time with Sony phones I only had 3 phones that broke:
W910i when I dropped it 2 stories down (so, not the phones fault)
Xperia M died after about 5 and a half years of usage first by me and then by my mum. It actually still turns on and screen is working, but there is some problem with memory so it is unusable.
Xperia XA2 that my mum uses developed some discoloration at the edge of the screen. I sent it to be serviced under warranty and they sent me a new one.
What I like the most about Sony phones, other then their durability, is the UI. It is so simple, clean and easy to use that I just can't get myself to use other phones. I really really really considered getting Huawei or Xiaomi flagship phones, but I just couldn't get myself to try and get used to different UI. I tried few different phones in shops and from my friends, but I just weren't comfortable while using them

What really gets me is seeing some reviewers say the 21.9 aspect ratio is a negative or a con, or pointless etc...... But now there is news that apparently the Samsung Galaxy 11 will have a 20.9 aspect ratio (so pretty much the same as the Xperia 1). Im guessing if thats true and Samsung does do that then we will only hear how genius and innovative the aspect ratio is 🙄🙄🙄🙄

I started watching the video with excitement and stopped right after he called it compact phone. Since when people started calling a tall 6 inch screen a compact screen size? To me , a less than five inch phone is a compact phone because my fingers can reach every corner of the phone with one hand. I have been searching everywhere to find a manufacturer that makes a really compact, usable, lightweight and productivity Android smartphone. I don't care for multiple or punch-hole cameras, pure view or infinity display and high-end CPU/GPU. The closest phone we can get right now is pixel 3.
Looking forward for iphone se2 even though I am not a fan of IOS.

@@Goenjamin thanks for the comment. I believe there is one particular device that suits our life style and personality. nice to hear that it worked out for you. I have used most of the smartphones of all sizes out there and for the kind of lifestyle I have, rocking a small durable Android phone will be enjoyable. I just cannot have a hefty large rectangular bar in my pocket all the time. I thought of buying the Sony xz2 compact but I found it is no longer going to be updated with the new Android 10. So my frustration is all about not having a small smartphone factor as an option by the manufacturers. I believe there are so many people who like to have a mid-range small phone which is supported for at least a few years like Android one. Unihertz did a great job with jelly pro and atom but they are tiny for me. Here is my ambitious smartphone looks like : A less than five inch OLED display, less than 120gms of weight and a considerably good camera, a programmable button that I can use it for Google assistant/voice recorder, durable etc., So the closest I can get with these specs is a pixel 3a.
