In this video, watch me hike the Kalepa Ridge Trail on Kauai, which is the island's most secret hike! This trail is only 1.9 miles roundtrip, however, it has a total of 1400ft in elevation change. This trail has some of the most intense drop offs on any trail in the world, so if you're afraid of heights, this definitely isn't the hike for you!
Kauai is home to some of the most breathtaking views on the planet, and this trail takes you right through the heart of the Kalalau valley, which is one of Kauai's best. Waterfalls, intense drop offs, and dense jungle are all found in this valley. This trail is right next to the Kalalau lookout, which is the islands most popular, but this trail still remains a complete secret. I like the music in your video. Tried listening to it as you have it listed. (Hope by Tobu) and it’s a complete different song. Can you tell me what the music from the video is. I think I’m gonna do this trail on my next Kauai visit in February.
It really is illegal and closed because it's dangerous, especially when it rains and it gets muddy. Very easy to slip, fall, and hurt yourself. One of my friends broke an arm while hiking there and it was not a fun hike/drive back to civilization.
I am going to be hiking this trail on the 25th! Did you need trekking poles or anything like that? Any advice?
That's only halfway to the end of the trail. There's an uphill at the of the trail, then you can see the sea upclose and little side of the of kalalau beach.

no can. once that drone goes around a mountain, signal is lost, so if you do try it pls dont lose your drone and make trash for da island 🙏🏼 mahalo
