Thank you. I do put a lot of myself into them. I try and tell either my story with the game, or at least build the picture of the era of gaming the game was released in. The last few reviews I wrote, I just kind of flowed with my writing more. Assuming I don't take seven more months to get around to it again, My next couple of reviews will be some personal favorites of mine. I'll tell my story with those games. Assuming another review doesn't pop up in my mind and take precedent over the ones I am planning. That happens a lot to me as well.
@@ANobodyReviewsGames-wm9gg i definitely got some retrospective view of the timeline of the game release in every review, and how that game stand in comparison with its peers at that time. Absolute delight to watch and listen!
I’ve been playing through this series on RPCS3 (PS3 emulator) and they’re a lot of fun. Definitely have their rough edges, but what games don’t? It’s too bad that we didn’t get a 4th entry in this series (apparently, sales weren’t that good, and according to Sony the premise of the 4th game was too similar to Last of Us. Even though both games have completely different weapon and enemy sandboxes). You’d think they’d at least make a bunch of Master Chief Collection style collections of their older games with quality of life improvements like modernized/remappable controls, bug fixes, restored online multiplayer, and maybe even remastered graphics you can turn on and off at the press of a button (like what MCC does). That would be a great way to see if there’s enough interest for a new entry. Plus, releasing on PS5/PC would allow more people to play them, and insure those games can be preserved. If they sold collections on Steam I’d buy them yesterday. FOM is a lot of fun, but there’s various ways it could be made better. Here’s what I’d want to see in a hypothetical Dead Space/Resident Evil style remake: Make the enemies less spongy and make the cooling tanks a weak spot like in 3. Back port weapons/enemies from future titles where appropriate to make the gameplay more varied. Give your Allie’s more personality, make them more useful in combat, and increase the variety for weapons they use. Give Nathan Hale a voice and make him talk to other characters like what happened with Isaac in the Dead Space remake. Throw in more vehicle sections. For health you’d keep the original system, but bump it up to 6 partially regenerating bars in later sections, and maybe throw in a power up that temporarily makes health function like it does in 2. I’d also want them to make aiming feel like it does in 2/3, add sprinting, and improve enemy/friendly ai.
My apologies, I had to delete this and reupload it because youtube processing glitched the original out and kept flashing a portion of my intro throughout the video. It wasn't in the original file. I had to delete my normal intro out of the video to get it to stop showing the glitch. The glitch was on RUclips's end. It looks like there is still some skipping an jitter in the final video that isn't in the raw file, but at least you're not seeing portions of my intro flashing you throughout the video.
Give yourself more credit. I think your review was very well written. Very enjoyable for the listener, guess thats the point. Skipped the ps3 and still don’t own one. Went ps2 to ps4. Oh ya I hate bugs in games and in life
Happy to be here for the rise of this channel. I like highly edited essays as much as anyone, but it’s nice to have a well written and thought out retro review over some gameplay. The third in this series is the one I jumped on but I vividly remember playing through coop all the way through. This game would sell like hot cakes if it was remastered.
If only Sony would quit dumping money into things like Concord, and start remastering and making sequels to some of their beloved franchises like their fans want them to.
That would be nice. 400 million on concord, they couldn't take a couple million here or there from that money to give gamers games they actually want? Sad state of modern gaming, really. Even another MAG would be awesome.
This was my first game for ps3 as it came with my Hong Kong model of the original build. This game needs a remaster or resistance 4. Resistance: Fall of Man and Resistance 3 both have local co op for campaign and I think fall of man has 4 player local co op for multiplayer.
The original does have 4-player multiplayer. I was only able yo get one other person to play with for a bit for this footage though. 4-player split screen DM like good old Goldeneye on the N64.
Resistance 2 is also my least favourite. They tried copying COD way too much, limiting weapon load out to just 2 guns which nullified the appeal of the first resistance game which was cycling through a boatload of arsenal to deal with the enemies. The weapon wheel made for a very distinct gameplay style which got lost in Resistance 2. Plus, the whole ending of 2 was so stupid because Hale had plenty of opportunities to get his shots without compromising his mission, which makes his reluctance to follow orders a good example of really bad writing and plot composition. The disappointing gameplay was followed by an unsatisfying ending. Resistance 3 is a return to the game's roots. But by that time, Resistance had lost out to the other games it had copied for Resistance 2. Also, they were pushing the PS3 by the time 3 came out, so I find Resistance 1 to be a faster and smoother experience than 3 which had moments of chugging. And if you tried Resistance 3 on 3D mode, you had to deal with 20fps (although the pop of the objects was good. Moving around though could give you some serious migraines).
Resistance is close to iron sights. Not quite aim down the sights, but you can adjust to it if you have an interest in playing the game. It's definitely morr like Halo and the original Killazon inn that regard
Like to play resistance and killzones games but they not on pc. The games likly would experience a second life. Guess Sony does hate money. Wasting money on remastering remastered or remaster two to three yeays gamesm
genji, tenchu, resistance, call of duty, crash, spyro, metal gear, killzone what a time to be alive 😊
Blows my mind these never got remasters for ps4.
I would play the shit out of this over 90% of stuff coming out today
If only Sony would listen to their fans. They'll remake The Last of us twice over, but both Killzone and Resistance are left in the dust
Your reviews always have soul pour into it, just love it 🎉

Sony needs to bring back Resistance, Killzone and Socom. We would have single player campaigns and great coop/multiplayer.

@@michaelgould1706 Yes. 2-player campaign, 4-player split screen deathmatches.
RFOM had the best multiplayer I've ever played
I remember playing it here and there. I always had a ton of chaotic fun with it.
