I remember playing Big Red One on the PS2 way back when and it was one of my favorite games. Even now, it is one of the CoD I remember more fondly. Not the least of which because of the documentaries that were bundled with it. I always wished for Cod to revisit that era, just as Battlefield tried to. I think it deserves to be remade just as much as CoD 4.
Great review. My first Call of Duty was CoD 4. I really liked the single player and when I got online on my PS3, the multiplayer too. Lately I've been looking back and getting the urge to play some of these earlier CoDs. While I do love the campaigns of Cod 4, MW2, and Black Ops 1, I don't mind the less scripted bombastic design of these older CoDs. They still look like a lot of fun to play. (Dead Rising is awesome by the way)
I just played this game for the first time, and it was suprising how good it was. I agree that it had a great balance between linear and open mission design. I think the modern COD developers could actually learn a lot about mission design from this game
@@RaidSix I've seen pictures here and there over the years. Panzer Dragoon Saga me want. Lol. If only my Saturn still read disks. I didn't hear about the surprise. I was on the discord for a little bit, but I stopped using Discord, so I haven't heard much. I am friends with Fatbot on Facebook. One of the few GP people who knows my true identity.

Cod franchise peaked in 2005.
I agree. World at War was decent because of the two-player coop. Aside from that they all kind of blend together.
Big Red One will always be special for me.
It's been years since I played through it, I should probably play through it again soon.
Love the story about your homie😂, we all had a friend like that.
@@RaidSix Still friends with him. He just got a 1up arcade cabinet the Marvel Vs Capcom 2, and sent me a pic of it tonight.
@@ANobodyReviewsGames-wm9gg have you seen the pics of Fatbots house? Did I tell you I surprised him this September with Getsuga in tow?
