In some places, there’s no legal right to block access to the waterways via land. So while some people will try and fence off all the area right down into the water, they can’t legally do it. Because historically it was used as transportation And an important source for food, so the people need access.

In 99% of states almost all waterways like rivers, dams, lakes, etc are public domain when your on the water in a boat and in some places it counts the shore line as public too. For a lake area to be private in most states it has to be a fully contained water supply where the owner has containment of all the water like a pond or lake. My family used to live right on river front property. The city made us give access to the public to use our driveway that went from the street all the way down to the river so that people could drive down with their boats and dock into the water. It is called a public easement that is on private property. No ones the river that is open to everyone, no matter if you own the land touching it.

Shore Fisherman Here 🙋♂️ most waterways if u get in the water and navigate in waders (ie just have your tows barely in the water) its totally legit. Talk about bringing the Karens out?! 🙋♂️ Holy crap, I guess I should film it more and put it on my channel. I always deleted it out of respect to not make the people look bad, but it is usually a good laugh. Can't tell u how many times I've had this happen to me and even had the police called on me. Police show up with me still standing in the water ankle deep - Cops "if he's in the water and he didn't access the water through your yard or by walking on your pier, then he's good". Homeowners almost always snap - "well stay off my pier and out of my yard!" (while storming off back to their house) Cops - "Sorry man. Just maybe stay away from this house for a while to give yourself a break from these people" 😂👌 Then they ask if I am catching anything before they go. EVERY TIME. Friggin hilarious. But if it's legal, it's just sad that people get this ugly about it. Really is. Worst I've had is when I've had all 3 of my kids with me 🤦♂️🤦♂️ Yup, some grumpy lady snapping on my 2, 6, and 8 year old kids at the time. Probably the only time I almost snapped back. But I turned it into a teaching opportunity for my kids about kindness and doing things the right way 🙏 also had a different neighbor lady come over and snap on her neighbor in my defense. That was pretty cool! 🎣🤙

It depends where you are and on the waterway in question.
Even when they are at home, sitting in their favorite comfy chair, with their favorite beverage in hand, watching their favorite tv show, ....People like this are still stewing about what someone said at work that day, ...or going over and over in their mind, the car that made even the slightest wrong move as they were driving home, or how slowly the old person was paying for their items, in front of them at the store! Sadly, people are falling hook, line and sinker for the programming that is turning them into fearful, paranoid, angry, hateful, unforgiving, bitter, entitled, nosy, busy-bodies!
Who wants to fish 100ft from a private home, peering into their windows, bro get a life, you have no respect
If only dogs could take the place of about 90% of humans. People fucking suck!
Who calls the cops on people fishing? Really? If you're friends with someone like this then I'm blaming you too
Good God the absolute aggression in these people!
Racism****** not aggression, what you see is enacted hate.
It is bizarre, right?
that second karen made me feel pretty low to be considered to be of "same race"
Don't worry, y'all aren't the same race. He's subhuman, maybe a demon. You ain't that right? Well then you're in the clear my guy :)
When they say we indigenous people privatize the rivers it is not because of this...
We usually trip because of polluting companies or violation of things like ceremonial fishing
These were rights granted to us under treaties......quit villifying us natives
I thought that comment was racist. I'm glad you said something
A Darren that became a Karen.
Where is this place? I think I'll take my Bros over there for a little fishing.
I don't know why these fisherman even try to argue. I would say just call the police already and don't waste my time.
I'd have asked the cops to explain to the homeowner about the law on harassing fisherman...
Some people just need to get beat up
My family used to live right on river front property. The city made us give access to the public to use our driveway that went from the street all the way down to the river so that people could drive down with their boats and dock into the water.
It is called a public easement that is on private property.
No ones the river that is open to everyone, no matter if you own the land touching it.
2:28 This one isn't about private property. Not about fishing either. It's a display of racism. I was prepared to give the old geezer the benefit of doubt, until he dropped the "people like you" line.
Agreed
*literally the water of the river*
"THIS ISN'T PART OF THE RIVER"
This gives me a little hope for America. Karens indiscriminately bother and call cops on everyone.
I was thinking the same thing about how great it is that he's not letting it bother him. That's great!
The fact that it didn’t bother him, Was the best “up yours” he could have given.
Some folks have so much restraint. I'd have grabbed the last guys arm and caved his face in when he tried to steal my phone.
Agreed!
He looked like a skeleton ready to be thrown in the water
Love that he kept his cool and didn’t raise to the argument.
Funny, way back in the day NATIVES asked the same question. Hey settler!? What's your address?! You dont live here! 🤣 the privilaged are funny
What do you even mean
@@fostersstubbyasmr9557 I mean the pot calling th e kettle black. Funny to steal something. Keep it for yourself and tell others they cant share.
I don't understand why anyone would stop someone from catching a fish to eat.
Why do people that live on lake front property believe they own the lake? My sister lives on a lake…she knows the lake IS NOT HERS…therefore she makes no qualms about people that fish there.
Usually weirdos in boats on watch for any houses to rob. Happened to an aunt of mine in Florida so all the neighbors now shoo away any stranger that is near them fishing.
Yeah... fishermen are always asking my mother permission to fish in "her" trout stream. They gotta know (and she knows, as all land stewards should) that she doesn't own the water, but they're probably trying to avoid confrontation with ignorant a-holes like the guy in the video.
Yeah me on my 90k fishing boat wants to rob you for your couch and tv...
@@dronenoobFL And their tire swings.
Only Nestle can own water.
Just do NOT TALK TO THEM.😘
Shore Fisherman Here 🙋♂️ most waterways if u get in the water and navigate in waders (ie just have your tows barely in the water) its totally legit. 🎣🤙
he wasn't breaking law but the homeowner is. harassing fisherman is illegal
Fenced in ur property did ya? So... what's not fenced... isnt ur property...
