Agree with what he says, but still at the same time stories can be a bit more different it's not always the top companies that sponsor an individual, I have one of my friend who got sponsored work visa without any experience at all, from a normal university just based on his skills & competence... So yes sometimes these factors are not at all a challenge for some individuals.
So you said he had some skills right ? If you have the right skill needed for U.K. job market , people will ultimately get job . But majority of students have no skills nor experience nor big university. So u need to have something to be sponsored.
