    Lost me at ground beef patty. Come on, you don't have to get a brisket but at least get a steak!

    With mine I trust the internal temp but ambient is like way way way way off! Like more than one oven 75 to 200 off

    Do i have to plug each of my 3 probes into the hub before i insert them into the food? Is there a way just to activate all three at once?

    This is a good review. I've been on the fence on whether to buy the Chef IQ vs the Meater 2+ vs the Combustion Inc probes. I think that price and performance wise, the Chef IQ seems like the better buy. BTW, your knife seemed pretty dull; may be time to resharpen.

    Are the probes dishwasher safe or do you have to wash them by hand

    Tested mine in an ice bath and it measures 36 F while my other thermometer measures 33 F. It should be 32 F I think. I overcooked my first salmon using this. Not sure how accurate it is.

      @ryanm2084 Год назад +4

      If it was 32 it wouldn't be a bath, it would just be ice 😂

      Yep, I knew this was a paid review when he said at the beginning “this neat packaging means this is a cool product”. Disappointing. And who the hell uses these probes to cook burgers? It should have been a filet or something

    yeah, i am overcooking stuff with mine, i set it correctly, pull it off and by the time it rests, it has overshot... any tips?

      The Chef IQ probe I received were way off in accuracy as were the replacement. Verify the accuracy of your probe by doing a simple ice water bath. Fill up a glass of ice water and let the mixture settle for a few minutes and then insert your probe in the water. The probe temperature should report 32 deg F. You can also do a boiling water test that should report around 212 deg F depending on elevation.

    135 is medium.. Medium rare you take out at 118 and rest till it reaches 125.. Never the less it looks good at medium.. 😊
