Just in case no one has shared this, the way the director filmed the alien-bursting-out-of-the-chest scene was brilliant. He told the cast to get close, and the first props were set to go off very weakly, with little movement/blood. The second time they went to film it, the cast got closer like he told them, and then the props went off full. Those reactions were real. The cast was freaked out.
Guys - Don't forget to watch Aliens (part 2) after this. Most sequels don't live up to expectations but part 2 is really worth watching. It is non-stop thrills, action and suspense. Your adrenaline will be pumping. Very different than part 1, but in a great way. All the other Alien movies, part 3, 4, alien vs. predator, etc, are entertaining for sure, but NONE match the directing prowess of Ridley Scott and James Cameron. Not even close. If you want to stop after Aliens, that's a good call. The others are good, just not great.
The Assembly Cut of Alien 3 is actually a pretty good film. Saw it a few months ago and it loads better than the theatrical. Would have been a great end to the trilogy but someone had the bright idea for Alien: Resurrection.
Even Stephen King agrees that this is one of the scariest movies ever made. It’s certainly a masterpiece. I saw this at the tender age of 13. It was my first R-rated movie. Nobody had ever seen a movie like this before. Scarred our fragile little minds and we LOVED it! Mother is the ship’s computer.
@@guitarman8462 … They actually wanted Stephen King to play the part as "Mother" but at the time he didn't know how to type at a reliable enough speed.
37:00 The signal wasn't to lure anyone _to_ the planet; it was to warn others _away._ If you go back to just after Dallas, Lambert and Kane left the ship and wandered out of communications range, you'll hear Ripley telling Ash that an analysis of the signal they received seemed to indicate that it wasn't a distress call at all but a warning message to warn others to stay away from the planet. Setting up that warning message must have been the last thing the giant alien ship pilot did before one of the creatures burst out of his chest.
Fun fact: When Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) shoots the Alien (Bolaji Badejo) out of the shuttle, he was sitting on a rolling chair and the crew just yanked him back. When she turns on the engines, it's just lights and water that created the effect. Bolaji Badejo was a graphic designer from Nigeria and was discovered in a British pub, as they needed someone who was extremely tall and thin to fit into the costume. It was his only role.
To think that this masterpiece was made for 4.2 million or about 20 million in today's dollars. It goes to show that you don't need expensive CGI to create an outstanding film of any genre. Tight directing, eerie music score, and a pace that let's the movie breathe, is all you need.
@@dawb86 Obviously CGI wasn't available in 1979. If they'd made this today, only as a low budget film would they not fill this with the so real looking- it actually looks fake CGI that is almost required now. It's not hard to scale back the micro chip effects for something a little less sleek, but a little more hard core looking. This movie was a testament to Ridley Scott, and his technical genius, for making so much, out of so little.
Here's something interesting: all the characters were written so they could be played by either female or male actors. That's why they all had single names that didn't imply any gender: Ripley, Dallas, Lambert, Parker, Brett, Ash, Kane. That's just one of the things that made this such an unusual script.
ALSO!! She got the roll be cause she was a 6'1 lanky tomboy and scarroused the director in casting. She came in lifted boots, jeans and towered over everyone
Jonesy the cat tried to warn them at least twice. When Brett went to get him he was hiding, hissing & scared. Brett didn't even look behind him till it was too late. And when Ripley was safely in the shuttle (or so she thought), ready to leave, Jonesy was growling again. He knew the alien was in there. Whenever there's a cat or dog in a scary movie, they usually try to alert the people...hissing, growling, barking etc. And we silly humans (the characters, at least) ignore them. Just like the characters always split up instead of staying together. Oh, well. If they didn't do those things I guess it wouldn't be much of a scary movie. Less suspense, less hand-wringing & fingernail chewing.👀🤣
My Dad took me to see this in the theater in 1979 when I was only 12. It scared the crap out me, as well as the rest of the audience who had never seen a movie quite like this. Thanks Dad! I loved it!
The chest burster scene is probably one of the greatest scenes in movie history….people were getting sick and running out of the theaters. The actor that played Parker was so traumatized from just filming the scene he actually spent like 2 weeks in his room not wanting to talk to anyone
Thats also because the director James Cameron didnt told details about the chest burster-scene. Also the blood-splattering wasnt told to the actors, so a lot of things indeed came by surprise to the actors. The shock and surprise on their faces are real, and the director kept that footage in the movie, so it feels more realistic, and its even more relatable for the audience. Its another reason why we are really suckd into that movie, and are on the edge of our seats the whole time. Its somehow like watching a life stream of good friends going through a horrifying experience and we can do nothing about it.
@@PygmalionFaciebat the director for this one was Ridley Scott .. James did the next one, ALIENS An easy mistake to make, as they are both brilliant directors who have both made classics (ALIEN and ALIENS respectively, lol)
The reaction, shock and surprise is real. They didn't know that was gonna happen none of the actors were told. So the horror in their faces was genuine.
That was the late Sir John Hurt. He reprised this scene to great comedic effect in Spaceballs, 9 years later. He was one hell of an actor, even taking on the roll of the Doctor briefly just before he passed. RIP to a legend.
Nancy Cartwright who played Lambert, well, that was REAL pig's blood they got sprayed with and she caught the worst of it. She was absolutely PISSED at Ridley Scott, who spent the rest of the day steering well clear of her.
In the years between "Alien" and "Terminator" we had "Blade Runner." That's another big hit movie that helped establish a new genre of science fiction.
Blade Runner was NOT a hit movie; it was a box office flop. And frankly, it's a terrible adaptation of Philip K. Dick's novel, Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep?
@@lonelyboy1977 How many flops get a sequel, especially one many years later? And a Director's Cut? You make it sound like nobody liked it and nobody cared, when it is referenced quite a bit. IMO, it was not received well because of the odd title, which has almost nothing to do with anything, and the fact that it is like a mix of noir detective and scifi, but without really embracing the noir tropes, nor being a special effects laden action movie. Which is why it is considered a cult movie. I'd say it's a hit, not for box office, but for its impact on the written science fiction that followed.
This movie was released in 1979...the year I graduated from High School. The special effects was ahead of anything ever done before it. Another movie that came out the same weekend as Aliens was "Prophecy" starring Robert Foxworth and Talia Shire. If you see Prophecy, you will understand how so far ahead the special effects was. You have to see Aliens which is the next movie to react to. You'll get some answers.
I saw this at the cinema in the uk when it first came out. There was quite a queue to get in and as we shuffled forwards, two guys came out carrying a girl who'd completely passed out, to a waiting ambulance. Best advert ever! And the film didn't disappoint. 😊
Fun fact. The actors did NOT know about the chest bursting scene. Their looks of shock and revulsion we're genuine. The director ( I believe), wanted real reactions, and I dare say, he got it! Loved your reactions! Peace!
Actually, they knew generally what was going to happen. They had seen the little puppet the crew had constructed. But when they went to the set and everything was covered in plastic (even the crew) their stress level shot through the roof. They certainly weren't prepared for the amount of blood.
@@hurricane1951 correct. Tom Skerrit showed up early on set and took a peek at what they were setting up. Also, on the first take the chestburster didn't rip through Kanes Tshirt and had to be reset for a second take. The spraying blood freaked out the actors more than anything else. All of this in the books/interviews/documentaries but people always comment that the actors had NO IDEA. Peace out.
What made it into the movie was a mix of the 1st and 2nd take. The 1at take ends when the puppet doesn’t break through John Hurt’s shirt. The 2nd take is Veronica Cartwright getting squirted in the face and falling backwards
The reaction to the chest burst-er scene was brilliant I laughed at you guys so hard. fun fact the entire cast except Kane had no idea what was about to happen so their reactions were 100% authentic. BRILLIANT idea.
The fun fact is that scene reaction by teh cast is real too. They didn't warn them what exactly was going to happen, hence the crew reacting like they do.
I swear to God, you two kids are killing me! I'm laughing so hard I cant breathe, this is precisely the reaction folks had when this movie was released appx 45 years ago....
The chest burst scene goes to the next level when you find out the other actors didn't know what was going to happen... and the blood spraying on them got the best reaction out of all of them.
It's a delicate balance to do quality reactions, talking at the right times, respectful but honest, and genuine to the core. You both nail it. Subscribed.
They made a video game a few years ago called *Alien: Isolation* where you play as Ripley's daughter sent to investigate what happened to her mother and come across a group of the Alien creatures on a space station. The game involves having to hide under desks and in closets and lockers and avoiding vents because the Aliens are hunting you and respond to noise so you have to walk slowly and quietly. It completely messes with you psychologically and is absolutely terrifying. Highly recommend. 😲
@@fredbeard8867 and you would be correct. I couldn't believe the first time it happened to me. The game was terrifying enough with the Oculus because the Alien looks about ten times bigger than it does if you're just playing it while watching on a PC monitor, but I was playing it with headset and mic on when I did a playthrough and did exactly what you described. However, it was me talking loudly to my wife who was in another room. I've manged to get through the game a couple of times now as long as I don't make loud noises. Sorry, bit of a verbose reply, but I look back and find it hilarious now! 😄😄😄
As a huge Alien fan, who's seen this movie so many times, I love watching it with people who haven't seen it to see their reactions... This was gold! Thank you very much! Now you should watch it with your friends to watch them lose their minds! It's great fun!
All I can say is why wouldn't anyone listen to Ripley????😠 This was S. Weaver's first leading role in a movie, she was little known at that time. She hit it out of the park and did two more
Hey Asia and BJ, my favorite part of the movie is when they are in the lab trying to figure out the face-hugger. Fun fact Sam: The acid blood concept was added on set by the producers and design team. They wanted to add a reason why the Ash couldn't dare take the face-hugger off or outright kill the Alien creature. The molecular acid blood takes the Alien Xenomorph to a whole nother level.
I had a roommate who had scorpions as pets. When they shed their skins, is kind of unnerving how much bigger they get, and somehow were inside their old skin. It was surprising how much bigger they got with each molting.
It's just an action movie sets in space with one-liners and big guns. Cameron was writing Rambo 2 when he was working on Aliens. I like the third way more.
Fun Fact, in the lore, Wayland Yutani requires the crew of their ships to pay for the meals they eat, drink, etc. Except for Coffee. There's an unlimited Coffee Service for those that work for WY :p Also, another fun fact, the actors weren't shown or told what specifically would happen during the scene except for the fact Kain will die and the alien will appear. :p
A fun fact: the scene when everyone is at dinner and the Alien comes out of his Kane chest, the cast wasn't aware of what was going to happen. All reaction are real and just them acting. I remember my mom went to go and see it the movie theater and she said the movie scared her. Differently reaction to Aliens it will answer all your questions. And another movie to watch Predator with Arnold Schwarzenegger, it's another good alien movie.
You just don't see movies like this anymore, no CGI all Costumes and Models used in this movie. This is Pure Horror and Thriller, that just can't be matched today at all
You missed something quite important; when Ripley makes Dallas explain to her why he gave Ash final say over the creature, he says "the company" (all they're referred to as in the first film) replaced his own science officer with Ash two days before they launched that exhibition, as to plant their own "product" on board to help procure and protect the creature. *That's* why the crew had no idea who/what he really was...
How can I say this?...GREAT REACTION!! You two were making points and asking questions in your screening room that people were literally screaming AT the movie IN THE THEATER! 🤣🤣🤣 When I saw this with my friends when it came out my buddy jumped out of his seat, shooting popcorn all over everyone near him. A couple in the row before us on a date were terrified. To this day I can hear the girl saying, "I don't like this! Please, let's just go!"

Alien 3 is not crap. It is a very well made David Fincher movie. It isn't to everyone's taste and it goes to a dark place but it certainly isn't a bad film.
@@planetwatch0000 Once you've seen the third one, you know it has significant plot holes during the beginning of the film. Nonetheless, it is a very well made film. I think that part of the issue with the next Alien movies (3 onward) is that they have to be compared to the first two movies. That is a tough comparison for most sci fi films. Actually, I like A4 a lot. It has some great scenes. The water scene is intense and highly creative. The entire series has great acting.
The rest is crap is however not correct. Taste is like our behind its divided 😋🤗. I just love all the series included the new movies after Ripley ❤️🇧🇻 and i have seen them all since 79 many times ( many ). I was 17 in 79 😎
I love how excited you got watching ALIEN. It was really, really fun seeing this with you. Yes, Sigourney Weaver stars in ALIENS. This is one of the rare times where the sequel is equal to or better than the original. The cast is great, the story is great. This is gonna be a lot of fun - 'Looking forward to it - Peace
Truly a directing lesson, on how to "build up tension" in thriller movies. That's how movies should be made, show as little as possible, but keep pumping up adrenaline and building up right to the finish line. Right back in 1979 its absolutely INSANE how they made managed to pull this off with the technology of the 70s, and how this still holds up so well even in 2023. Mad quality of film-making. Just MAD. Ridley Scott. What a master. With this and blade runner, he showed everyone what can done in the sci-fi genre in the late 70s-early 80s. What a legend. Even today's films have huge trouble reaching this amount of quality in film-making.
You two never disappoint. Your Jaws reaction was fire, but this takes the cake. The looks on your faces, Asia's eyes getting wider every minute, BJ, literally shaking when that thing burst of the chest...you guys are fun to watch. I saw this in the drive in at the age of 7. TERRIFIED. But also LOVED it.
I wouldn't have, had I been an actor in the first two Alien(s) films especially; they DID use milk and yoghurt for those scenes; the smell of the set after a few hours would be more horrifying than any creature you could create...
One of the scariest theories surrounding Xenomorphs is that a Queen will ALWAYS turn up, that if there are not royal eggs or royal facehuggers present, one of them will BECOME a queen, even if there is ONLY one. This would mean even if you killed 99.99999999999% of the species off, if there was ONE egg or drone left somewhere in the universe, the entire species could bounce back in a matter of months.
Several people mentioned it in the comments after you guys reacted to "Jaws", but if you want another movie that'll have you jumping out your drawers, react to "The Ghost & The Darkness". It's a 1996 movie based on the true story of two lions that terrorized railroad workers in Africa in 1898. They killed dozens of people.
When I was young my father would only watch this when I went to bed. Sometimes he'd use his surround sound and just laying in bed hearing the soundtrack and the film in general scared me to death. I think I had to be 6 years old when if I could watch Alien. One night he waited till the sun went down. Sat me on the couch and I watched Alien for the first time. My first horror movie. One of my favorite memories and films of my time. Even as a grown ass man I get cemented Watching this alone. Always great to see first timers watch Alien
I highly recommend Ridley Scott's other SciFi classic from 3 years after this one, "Blade Runner". It used no CGI whatsoever but it's looks incredibly detailed. It stars Harrison Ford and it does take place on Earth.
The look on Asia's face is comedy gold. Ash was a android where as an Android works similar to a robot it's an artificial life but all organ's are man made, the brain is a computer and not artificial flesh. But the company planted Ash there to get the life form and bring is back to the company for study at the expense of the crew. Where as a company can write up a work place death story later to cover there ass. And I forget who picks her up on the next movie but in this time period there's hundreds of companies working in space it happens in the not to distant future. I mean space is the last wild west there is. All it takes is one element or alloy to be discovered that the military can't live without and you'll witness hundreds of company's out there in real life. So high probability (without the alien) of course.

To me the first 2 movies are the best of the series. The second is a bit different, has more action but less suspense. I prefer the first one but there are many people out there who prefer the 2nd. You should definitely watch it!
Alien 2 (Aliens) is even better than this. You definitely have to watch the sequel. Out of all the alien films the second one is definitely the best in my opinion.
@@carlossaraiva8213 I guess it just depends on your point of view, the first one is a suspense based film and you get to see very little of the alien, which was part of the brilliance of it (I think you saw it for less than a minute during the whole film) and it also had the shock value of the alien breaking out of the stomach. Don’t get me wrong, I think the first one is a masterpiece of suspense horror. I just prefer the second one because it moves at a faster pace and as you say, it is more actioned packed and you get to see more of the alien.
I wouldn't say the second movie is better. Without the original, there would be no sequel. The first movie was a part of movie history, the second a great sequel to it.
Awesome reactions! I knew Asia's blanket would be hella useful for this one. 😂I prefer the gritty realism and slow-burn atmosphere of Alien but Aliens is fun too (more action and humor). The Thing is also must-see sci-fi.
Kudos to whoever edited this. You kept the big jump scares in. I literally yelled out loud a couple of times. My gf was like what the hell are you watching? I loved the fact that you didn't question the obvious outdated technology they are using even though it's taking place in the future. You guys just let the experience pull you in. I love it.
As soon as I saw the thumbnail for you reacting to “Alien”, my first thought was “omg, Asia is going to jump out of her skin watching this movie”! 😂 And I was NOT wrong. I think Asia burned a few calories watching this movie. 🤣
Asia said “No one can hear him scream…” during the facehugger scene, which is very close to the tagline for the movie: In Space No One Can Hear You Scream…
A bit of trivia - about that scene where the alien burst out of the guy's chest - none of the actors knew what was going to happen, so their scared reactions are GENUINE! Aliens (sequel is plural) is EVEN BETTER THAN THE FIRST!!!! Ripley is a Rockstar superhero!
1979 and still as damn good and scary as it was then! Can you imagine going to the cinema in 1979 and seeing this! What a film. Loved your scared reactions.
I love the setting. A lot of sci-fi up to that point had been of the high-minded type, to put it one way - idealists in pristine ships looking to boldly explore new worlds and such. Alien was the first to my knowledge to have the crew as more working-class types. The Nostromo wasn’t an exploration ship, but a commercial towing vessel - the crew were essentially space truckers hauling a load of ore back to Earth, wanting to drop it off and go about their lives until the next job came up. The Company obviously had other plans…
They had a good sci fi with working class characters called "Outlander" with Sean Connery about a cop on a mining colony that came out about two years later. (At least I remember it being good)
Part of Ripley's story, in the first two films, is her development from a thoroughly by-the-book technocratic officer to a person who is willing to embrace a more personal moral-code of connecting with others. Those bonds may put her in greater peril; but, ultimately, prove to be her greatest strength. It's probably already been brought up, but in the original screenplay, none of the characters had any gender attached. They were all simply identified by their character's name.
The actor who got attacked first in this movie with the alien attached to his face , was also in another great movie !!! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻. The movie is called " Elephant Man " and it stars him and Anthony Hopkins . It's a must watch movie & based on a true story .
Great reactions! I was 14 when I first saw this movie at the theater. No teasers on the internet back then. I had trouble sleeping for weeks after that. It's still one of my favorite scifi/horror movies.
I still remember seeing this when I was a little kid (10 or 12). I had just seen and fallen in love with the first three classic "Star Trek" movies and thought this would be similar. It was definitely not similar.
I have seen many reactions of couples and watching him put his arm around her with the blanket covering them was so wholesome. Thank you for sharing your reaction with us.
Remember the scene when Ripley went to see Ash and he had the picture of the growing little alien? When Ripley leaves he picks up a glass of what looks like milk - it wasn't milk.

They could skip to Prometheus and pick it up there.
“Aliens” the most exciting movie I ever saw at the theater
@@thunderstruck5484 I saw it in the theater when it came out, and when I went to see it again with friends, I was stressed because it's that scary.
Alien 3 gets to much hate I really enjoy it's very unique, not perfect but defo worth a watch
It’s mind boggling that this movie is from 1979. Even my kids who are now in their teens love this movie.
@Man Jones is english your first language?
your kids exceptional taste in movies aside, it's writing and direction that make movies timeless
That's awesome 💪🏿💪🏿
It's one of those that stood the test of time. I'm 24, saw it decades after it was produced, and it's still good
Even the aesthetic of this movie is a timeless theme now. The kind of grunge 70's techno future vibe.
I have all of Stephen King's first edition books on hardcover . And I even have the orig " Creepshow " comic book .
@@guitarman8462 … They actually wanted Stephen King to play the part as "Mother" but at the time he didn't know how to type at a reliable enough speed.
@@YManCyberDude what would be cool is if they watched " 2001 A Space Odyssey " by Stanley Kubrick

@@guitarman8462 … "A Clockwork Orange" … I don't think I've seen a RUclips reaction to that one yet. "Lolita" would be interesting too …
37:00 The signal wasn't to lure anyone _to_ the planet; it was to warn others _away._ If you go back to just after Dallas, Lambert and Kane left the ship and wandered out of communications range, you'll hear Ripley telling Ash that an analysis of the signal they received seemed to indicate that it wasn't a distress call at all but a warning message to warn others to stay away from the planet.
Thanks for the like guys.
I watch all your reactions.
Wow ❤️❤️ thanks we really appreciate it! Glad you’ll be watching with us
And the fantastic H. R. Giger
@@blaseblah204 Practical effects often work much better than the CGI anyway, more realistic and much cheaper when done correctly...
Also Ripley and Lambert were supposed to be a couple originally, and Ripley was supposed to die in the end.
Or race.
ALSO!! She got the roll be cause she was a 6'1 lanky tomboy and scarroused the director in casting.
She came in lifted boots, jeans and towered over everyone
And the cat was named Jones. Odd name for a cat but that was consistent with the script.
Adds a feeling of being equally expendable - doesn't matter who's on that ship out there - makes it extra spooky.
IF THE PROTAGONISTS ALL WALKED AROUND TOGETHER HOLDING HANDS, SINGING COME BY YAH, THEY WOULD'VE ALL SURVIVED!!!!!!!
To be fair if all of them were together they probably would've been butchered all at once together and no one would've survived
My Dad took me to see this in the theater in 1979 when I was only 12. It scared the crap out me, as well as the rest of the audience who had never seen a movie quite like this. Thanks Dad! I loved it!
I love when people actually get into the movies instead of stay annoyingly detached so they can make snarky comments 🤣 great vid
James did the next one, ALIENS
An easy mistake to make, as they are both brilliant directors who have both made classics (ALIEN and ALIENS respectively, lol)
Blade runner is so good! And I also recommend its sequel blade runner 2049
All these great old sci fi movies gone from modern collective consciousness, like tears in the rain.
Blade Runner is in my top 5 favorite movies. Rutger Hauer at his most beautiful, great story, great cast.
It is a great movie... but I would argue that "Star Wars" got there first in terms of effects (1977).
The look on Asia's face when that thing popped out of his chest,........that needs to be on a t shirt!!! Priceless!!
No acting required😂

They made a video game a few years ago called *Alien: Isolation* where you play as Ripley's daughter sent to investigate what happened to her mother and come across a group of the Alien creatures on a space station. The game involves having to hide under desks and in closets and lockers and avoiding vents because the Aliens are hunting you and respond to noise so you have to walk slowly and quietly. It completely messes with you psychologically and is absolutely terrifying. Highly recommend. 😲
Nope Colonel B, 😂 Just playing ❤️❤️we’re glad you’re watching with us!
If I remember correctly, if you're wearing a headset & sneeze or cough (make noise) when the alien is within earshot, it will hear, find, & kill you
Great game
@@fredbeard8867 and you would be correct. I couldn't believe the first time it happened to me. The game was terrifying enough with the Oculus because the Alien looks about ten times bigger than it does if you're just playing it while watching on a PC monitor, but I was playing it with headset and mic on when I did a playthrough and did exactly what you described. However, it was me talking loudly to my wife who was in another room. I've manged to get through the game a couple of times now as long as I don't make loud noises. Sorry, bit of a verbose reply, but I look back and find it hilarious now! 😄😄😄
I played on PC the original Aliens vs Predator where you can play a human marine, alien, or predator.
So funny when Asia pulls up her blanket!😄
Man, I can't believe y'all ain't seen this! Such an iconic movie and Lt. Ripley was such a badass main character! Glad that you enjoyed the film
She hit it out of the park and did two more
The chestburster was unexpected! Lol! When audiences saw that they screamed at the top of their lungs.
how that scene turned out was surprising even for the actors, and thus their shock in that scene was real !!!
The molecular acid blood takes the Alien Xenomorph to a whole nother level.
the table scene , only the guy with the alien in his stomach knew it , they wanted the real surprised look on crewmembers faces and they got it.
Bath and Body
I had a roommate who had scorpions as pets. When they shed their skins, is kind of unnerving how much bigger they get, and somehow were inside their old skin. It was surprising how much bigger they got with each molting.
Sigourney Weaver was nominated for an Academy Award for best actress for Aliens, the 2nd Alien movie. It was a milestone for the Horror/Sci-fi genre.
Part 2 is considered one of the best sequels in history.
Depends on what u prefer Aliens is more of an action movie with monster while this is atmospheric and horror through and through.
The other sequel being The Godfather II :)
It's just an action movie sets in space with one-liners and big guns. Cameron was writing Rambo 2 when he was working on Aliens. I like the third way more.
And Terminator 2
Yup watch Alien and Aliens. Part 3 is horrible. Part 4 is a little better.
Fun Fact, in the lore, Wayland Yutani requires the crew of their ships to pay for the meals they eat, drink, etc. Except for Coffee. There's an unlimited Coffee Service for those that work for WY :p
Also, another fun fact, the actors weren't shown or told what specifically would happen during the scene except for the fact Kain will die and the alien will appear.

I rewatched this recently for the first time since I was a child. I'm AMAZED how damn good these movies look for the time they were released
You just don't see movies like this anymore, no CGI all Costumes and Models used in this movie. This is Pure Horror and Thriller, that just can't be matched today at all
My favorite line...Asia: "I love my animals, but look......"🤣
BJ is like, "Look at that!, and Asia is, "We gotta go!" you guys crack me up
You missed something quite important; when Ripley makes Dallas explain to her why he gave Ash final say over the creature, he says "the company" (all they're referred to as in the first film) replaced his own science officer with Ash two days before they launched that exhibition, as to plant their own "product" on board to help procure and protect the creature. *That's* why the crew had no idea who/what he really was...
Asia and BJ: "I saw that there's a cat in the trailer, so curiosity ACTUALLY killed the cat."
Me: *smiles*
How can I say this?...GREAT REACTION!!
You two were making points and asking questions in your screening room that people were literally screaming AT the movie IN THE THEATER! 🤣🤣🤣

I like ' Prometheus' which is pretty much the start of the 'Alien ' theme. the rest, trash, to me.
Your expressions during this movie were priceless! This is what makes reaction videos so entertaining! Thanks, guys!
When you watch Aliens, ensure you watch the Special Edition (director's cut).
You two never disappoint. Your Jaws reaction was fire, but this takes the cake. “I’ll never drink milk again!”
In the theatre back in '79, this movie scared the crap out of people. The suspense was unparalleled.

12:00 "Nobody can hear him scream" -- That's actually the tagline for this film: In space, no one can hear you scream.
Nicely done!
The movie trailer teaser line for this movie was, "In space, no one can hear you scream".
To me the first 2 movies are the best of the series. The second is a bit different, has more action but less suspense. I prefer the first one but there are many people out there who prefer the 2nd.
You should definitely watch it!
boogie, I agree 💯%! To me, Alien is the absolute best; the perfect movie. I quit watching after Alien3; too graphic and violent for me.😕
Alien 2 (Aliens) is even better than this.

This is the first time BJs reaction made me laugh more than Asia....that chest buster scene🤣
I saw it in 1979 and it blew me away. It was amazing in the theater. I remember the TV ads for it, "In space no one can hear you scream."
I was born in 1979. Growing up in the 80's and 90's was EVERYTHING!
(At least I remember it being good)
@@bluebird3281 that one I never heard of.
@Neb6 sounds like I might have to check that one out.

I loved it. You guys make these so fun. I can see a new t-shirt with Asia eyes peeking over the blanket that just say Oh No!. 🤣🤣 I don't remember laughing this much on this movie. Can't wait to see the next. Love you guys ❤️
Yes please!
That was the cutest thing ever, seeing her peeking from the blanket.
@Jamesthatswho, hmm 🤔 blanket would be … awesome, lol! Thanks for watching with us Fam ❤️❤️
No way I'm going back for a damned cat. A near perfect film though, from music to direction to the design of the alien. Saw this when it first came out with no idea what it was about and the chest bursting scene didn't just make people scream, it put them into shock. In a large, sold out theatre the response was electrifying.
💯 James ❤️🍿 thanks for sharing and watching with us!
I saw this when it came out. By accident, as I was too young. OMFG. How traumatising. Certainly the most intelligent scary film ever made. Great reaction from you guys!
Apparently, in one of the first screenings that many of the crew were at someone shouted out 'leave the fuckin cat' at that exact moment.
Oh now I KNOW this is going to be good & can’t wait to see how many times Asia does her classic “I have to hide behind my hands” move 👍😆

@@ReelinwithAsiaandBJ … Asia, I’ve seen you do it many times in those scary solo reaction videos when you can sense something scary is about to happen. That’s what I mean.
I first saw this when I was 14, a friend and I were going to camp out in the woods that night. His mom picked us up from the theater and asked if we were still going to camp out. We yelled, " NO WAY!!!"
BJ's reaction to the baby/alien shootin out of the guys chest was worth a 'Best Reaction Award'.
