I have an earlier model of the Joolca dual room shower tent. Honestly, I could not find anything that even came close for value and usability. Our model has a separate fly and mesh roof. You don't need to use the fly, but it doesn't have the self contained guy ropes in the little bags. The ropes are simply attached and I bundle them into the "package" as I pack it away. I like your idea with the thin bungy cord to lift the floor when you are finished. What a simple idea to solve the issue of water pooling in the floor. Thanks, I shall do that in ours.
Convinced to get the double as a portable office/shadehouse, as well as ensuite. Multipurpose utility room in fact and the new awning kit gives me great outdoor space for very simple car camping. Full height area for dressing and undressing is also a boon. A truly multi purpose camping space to couple with my car camping and hike tent as a solo camper!
Great review, thank you for sharing! I initially ordered the single but after watching yours and one other video I've opted for the Dual Ensuite. One idea was to also use the dry part of the dual/double as a toilet area as well as a dry changing room. Cheers from Atlanta, GA, USA.
Great review. I didn't realise the single was that big. We have the double and love it. So easy to setup and pack down. When you setup I notice you stetch the legs out first. I find it easy to pull all the arms out and then lift the legs.
LOL what a laugh... what an effort for the single one. Nice of you to breifly help your woman as your coming around your one, Mr chrispy! Points for that one.
I am loving the joolca products. For. The single shower, try using a cedar deck. After shower you can use a simple wash cloth to wipe the deck off before dressing. The deck will push excess water to the bottom. It's also good with keeping level.
So a year later - do you still prefer the double over the single? Do you ever find yourself grabbing the single instead of the double? Great video btw !
Great review. A couple of questions, is the top sturdy enough to hold the weight of a solar shower bag? And do you think there is enough room in the single to put a small ice chest or stool to use for sitting on while getting dressed? I too have experienced trying to stand on one leg and get dressed in a more inferior single tent that had a lot of water on the floor area but had to finally give up and walk out wrapped in a towel.
It wouldn't be stronger enough to hold the weight of a solar shower bag I have one of those as well so I know how heavy they can get . You could definitely put small stool in the corner of single we put our porti potti in there and it doesn't get in the way or a 15L esky would be fine.
Hi, thanks for the review. I note that these do not have a fly. How does it stand up to rain? We want to store some gear in the change room side. Is it rainproof?
How does the double ensuite hold up in windy conditions? Also I see you mentioned you use the Joolca Hot Water setup. There seems to be a few to choose from so which one did you purchase and any issues eg water staying hot or to hot?
Holds up well in windy conditions just put the 4 guide ropes down. We have the Joolca Hottapv2 outing kit it works good once you dial it in and I use rechargeable batteries so there fully charged each time I use it
Thanks for the review! We often use our ensuite to bath the kids in (in a small storage tub), but the extra space around the kids would be great so the single is looking good in that regard... however, we struggle with everything else getting wet so the double is also looking good for the dry zone. Which would you recommend for this purpose? Cost and size/space isn't an issue.
Either would work well but I would go with the double as once they are out of the bath they can go into the dry section to dry off and get changed. The single also has the dry zone where you can put clothes etc. But we say the double would be best.

Joolca should pay you guys. I just bought one based on this video. Cheers from Washington State US.
Yes we agree lol - many have told us this. Thanks for watching !
I put a couple of foam mats under the shower floor so that the water runs away from your feet and doesn't pool.
That’s a good idea
I like the peg and elastic to help with the floor draining and drying 👍

single one good for camp toilet, double for showering and changing., thanks for showing the set up of both., new to camping
Is the floor pretty durable? I was worried that the Thetford Porta Potti might tear the floor if we use the single one for the toilet.....
Great review. Just the info I was looking for. The double looks like the way to go for me.

Okay! You have now won me over. Now I can buy what I need, the double one.

The double is great 👍🏾 I use it to love it
You can use them both one for the loo 🚽 n the other for the shower 🚿 😁👍🏾
Loved your review. Just starting my camping life. This was super helpful!
LOL what a laugh... what an effort for the single one. Nice of you to breifly help your woman as your coming around your one, Mr chrispy! Points for that one.
Perfect review. Awesome to see the two side by side and have a real comparison. Thank you

Noice Vid/comparison.. waiting on our double now....
Thanks for the demo! Very helpful.
Awesome video and you guys covered it all. Thankyou.
I live in the uk and i had a pop up shower tent but the Joolca shower unit and twin tent is excellent
Great review. Definitely helped my decision.

Great review. Glad I bought the double! My Joolca HotTap was delivered today too, after months of waiting! Can't wait to try this out.
nice congrats how are you liking it so far? i was about to pull the trigger on my order today but am still a tad bit aprehenive.
@@SnozBerryQueen haven’t used it camping yet but tested it at home. It’s a solid setup, works great. I got the nomad kit with the sink/case/etc.
We will definitely be getting the double after that great review. Thanks.
Cheers guys, great video and advice - well be getting the double based on your recommendation
We love it still
Not when dad goes for a shower and forgets to zip the petition from wet to dry had a couple rums got into trouble. Hahaha
You’re unreal ! 😂
Best comparison video, thanks!

Absolutely perfect review. Thanks
Great review… after a few beers 🍻 😂 or a few mushrooms 😆 good point double it is
I have the double and use the entry/dry side for the toilet
Thanks for sharing. Double is great!
Love the blow fly sunglasses😂
Fantastic review, great work...
Fab video! Do you know what the little zipper in the wet side of the double is for? Honey, I forgot the shampoo?!
Awesome I’m totally buying one of these throwing that pop up dramatic one I own haha thanks heaps

@@chrispyscampingadventures haha well that would be amazing

We still prefer the double to the singe but we have also added a side awning to the car which we quite like.
Thanks for posting your video
Looks good
The extra size of the bag is so there is room inside for the awning system as well.
Mrs Chrispy 👍

Noice video guy’s 👍 great ensuite
What hot water setup do you use like water heater and tank ? your video was awsome very detailed thank you
We use the Joolca hot water set up and it hooks to the tanks on our camper trailer or you can set it up to hook into drums of water too.
Well the small one can be used for a port a toilet
Great video….
Best review! Thank you for making me confirm my decision. At the start of your video, you mentioned that it took 2 months to arrive?
Couldn't get supply from covid19 slowed things down.
@@chrispyscampingadventures thanks!! Australia have way better camping supplies!
Hi, thanks for the review. I note that these do not have a fly. How does it stand up to rain? We want to store some gear in the change room side. Is it rainproof?
I think they might have a fly now. We have never had issues with water getting in there.

Well done.
Does the shower 🚿 come with the tent
No
Thanks guys, great comparison. What do you use for a toilet ensuite? Or do you go bush? lol
We use the Thetford 335 portapotti - you can get it from most camping stores.
@@chrispyscampingadventures do you use the thetford in one of these Joolca ensuites? I was worried it might tear the floor.
great video but the phone....lol....dont need it in the shower room - a dry mat just outside shower for wet feet works well
The phone 🤔... the phone🤷... the phone 😂🤣😂

@@chrispyscampingadventures two kids, but they fit in the same tub

Hey. Show installing the awning.
We don’t use the awning
How does this work with the Smarttek shower system?
Smarttek will work fine with the joolca ensuites
What dimensions is the bag
You will be able to find that on their website
How long did you actually need to wait for the double
2 - 3 months took bloody ages probably the same now .
@@chrispyscampingadventures wtf! Was it in stock or back orders? I’ve got the hottap system already but I want to buy the tent. That’s to long
Yeah it was back order when covid first hit
We can tell who does all the work at camp haha..
Use dry flip flops to put clothes on
Is it common for Aussies to take all their electronic devices in the shower?
