How do you cook out the back of this camper when there’s inclement weather like horizontal rain and winds or even plagues of pesky insects? Dosent seem to be a lot of protection except the hood you lift up….

I own a 4wd ute with a gvm upgrade ( I’m a plumber and carry a lot of weight, the ute not me ), I work on sites where a standard vehicle will struggle to get in and out, but for me to do this to a $50,000 plus vehicle is insane with the tide coming in or out . Lucky he had people there to help him out.

Most 4WD drivers have no idea what they are doing. I am glad I have retired from professional driving.

In the early 80's there was a huge camp in at Booloumba, to protest against the logging, and to acquire more land for national park there. ( Basically to protest the area for the platypus frog..which was borderline extinct then) The ask was for an extra 5k acres of national park, we ended up getting 10k for the area. 13 weeks I spent there. The camp grounds, something to keep in mind is to look up, to make sure you dont set up under or on dead leaves of a Gympie gympie. There is a pool on top of the falls where the water is seriously cold..In all, its an awesome spot to take a family for a few days..
