In this video Joe Lee from Core Fishing discusses how to outfit for delta stripers. Joe covers his favorite rods, reels and baits. Joe also talks about general striper fishing strategies that will help to catch larger fish and also be more consistent. I agree with Joe on swapping out stock hardware. I always switch out to owners 2 times for jerkbaits and medium size topwater lures. For my glide baits i use owners 3 times. It does alter the action and change the rate of fall but i personally don't mind at all. One thing i’ve learned is if i get followers on the glide bait but they're not committing to it someone else nearby can fire out a jerkbait in the area and work it fast to get that follower to become a biter.

I use the Owner 41 and 45 for bass(STX if I can find them) it is good to hear they are recommended for stripers too.

Biggest problem I have is figuring out where to find them..Only been successful when chasing birds..Literally tried breaks in levy’s all that..Csn never find em lol

The birds out here ain’t like the ocean but that’s why u ain’t finding nothing but shakers probably get a good fish finder and start Trolling the open channel with the right rigs I’m sure you can hook up on a decent size fish anythin by the Levi is small

I had a bad nightmare Stevie boy reminded me why I hate stripers in the nightmare. I grab a pair of sharp scissors, cut the face straight off to retrieve my hardware. I don’t know why they give me such nightmares.
