Thank you very much for the tips man, I'm a fly angler myself but learned a lot from your videos, where to go, and color for flies. Just moved back down from McCloud, can't wait to get out, thanks again and cheers!
The CA swim jig/ keitech has been killing it for us around Sherman the last few weekends. You should get out there! 2 man limited out within first 30 min.
Thats awesome, great job! Good news I finally got a motor for my bass boat so i have some work to do and I will hopefully be out there before the end of the run!
You said we'd hate on you in the comments for sharing the water...not at all! It's great to see you willing to share the water with others, especially with them being respectful during the interaction.
I went out Wednesday morning for 2.5 hours, caught decent sized fish on glide baits. The water temps were down to about 53-54. I think fish are still in the system for sure!
Any spots you’d recommend fishing for stripers down from the Rio vista bridge. I always fish the north delta and don’t know any spots down from the bridge. Thanks
Certain times of the year anywhere from franks tract up to the rio vista bridge is great. Id look for current breaks and areas that striper can push baitfish.
Thanks for liking the videos! I had my sea dek done at live2wake in Vacaville last September. I love the sea dek, easy to spray off. It does show dirt easily however. Little pricey depending on what you get done like custom patterns ect.
Nice catch that big girl was nice but u got some nice ones all day I just started throwing some bigger swim baits and they will definitely catch some nice big hogs I haven't got a 30 + on the big swimbaits but I know my time is coming and that's cool u hooked the other fisherman's up there is no hate here thats what fishing is about catching and helping the other Fisherman out
Awesome video! Love it and so kind to share your spots w other anglers. I was wondering what part of the tide was is when you are fishing top water at the flat. And also for your swim jig are you using 65 lbs braid?
Thanks Nelson for watching out video. It was an outgoing tide, almost slack at that time. I use the dirty jigs California swimjig, the 1/2 ounce size with a 4.3 kietech on the back. I also used 65lb braid no leader!
great video and tips! nice! I caught 6 Stripers this Saturday 11/12 at Ocean Beach. almost 8! It was insane I hit a school. used Yo-Zuri Hydro Monster Shot Silver 2 1/8 OZ lure.. I think I set a SF record - no joke! Let 4 go.
Nice work bro....I've been hitting the Napa every other weekend and still barely catching schoolies...WTH is going on in the Napa this year, they should be in the system by now.
I've switched to 6th sense swim jigs because they utilize a screw lock for holding the keitechs and it works much better. The other day I got into a school of 15 to 17 inches and caught 15 fish on one keitech. Where did the bigger stripers go??
I haven't got to try those yet, I like the idea of screw lock! That's a ton of fish off one. The most I fish I have got off one would probably be around 6 fish. 15 is crazy, I have to try that. I was out Friday, Saturday and Monday, no big ones. Had a few quick strikes at the glide bait, quite a few on the swim jig. Fished around the same areas and also headed up north past the Rio vista Bridge, no big ones and a bit slower. I am wondering if the fish have moved farther out towards the bay. I want to get out and try just to see if maybe they have moved.
@@DDFishingCo in my humble opinion screw lock keepers are the was to go for paddle tail swim baits. I have a bunch of the CA swim jigs but with those keepers they use I just go through too many baits. I was out Monday also and fished from big break to mcavoys area and while I caught 50 fish only 7 were keepers! Biggest only 23 inches. I just don't get why the average size has gotten so small? Just a few years back 4 to 8lb fished seemed pretty common, now they are the exception for me anyway. Good job on your videos. I like the format.
@@craigtanner7189 I’ll have to give those a shot. Screw lock sounds awesome! That’s not a bad day but dang only 7 keepers! I agree with you. It’s been an odd year for stripers. The sizes seemed to be down this year. I am used to catching quiet a few in the 4-8lb range like you said however that wasn’t the case for me this year. Hope to see you out there sometime!
That's awesome you have a stratos! I bought a 8" Jack plate from Bobs Machine shop, powder coated in white. I removed all the carpet and had seadek installed. The boat came with a 112lb trolling motor from minn Kota. I had a custom poling tower built for my boat so I can push around quietly in the shallow water. I want to get some power poles! I also have the basic stuff like graphs ect. I did remove the passenger console. I like having more room in the boat!
I would look for areas where you can find current breaks, tule points, or even grass points. Striped bass travel looking for bait, so sometimes they just sit out in the current on open water. If you target areas like points, tule points or structure, it’s a good place for the fish to pin bait up against it. It give the bait less room to run and easier for the fish to go after that bait. If you can find flats between looking at maps and maybe Navionics those are good areas too.
@@mielplay7330 Germany!? I don’t get out from shore too much. What I would look for would be places you can access that have big current breaks, areas that have points, even tule points. Live bait or lures ?
@@DDFishingCo Yeah, im staying for 2,5 months and i needed to try out the fishing here. I brought a bunch of lures from home, but I also use some small Jacksmelt as Bait😁

Nothing more fun than getting big delta stripers on glide baits!

Awesome thanks man! I was using irod Bailey swim rods for the big glidebaits and dobyns fury rods for the swimjigs

Nice. Love to put myself on a day fishing like that if you mind letting me know which part of the delta is that or launch. Thanks😊
Awesome thanks for watching, here I was in the west delta, near rio vista

I went out Wednesday morning for 2.5 hours, caught decent sized fish on glide baits. The water temps were down to about 53-54. I think fish are still in the system for sure!
What kind of rod & reel combo are you using?
I was using a Dobyns fury 765 for the rod. I’ve used 735 too. I like them both! For the reel I had a Diawa coastal series reel with 65lb braid
