@@mitchandjan Ok thanks was just wondering . Do you think it would be worth it for us at 71 to move to Thailand or maybe just for six month cause we would have to give up our Ohip.
@@sallylee6934 everyone is different and we definitely suggest doing your research and taking a longer term trip (at least a few months) to get a feel for somewhere before making that decision. There are so many factors to consider for relocating.
We were recommended a different restaurant, but it was closed the entire month (maybe longer?). It is pricier, but still so much more affordable than we are used to in Canada! And delicious!!
We were actually there leading up to Ramadhan and for the first weeks of Ramadhan and they were closed even before! Maybe just a holiday for themselves.
That was exactly our plan. To scope out the city! It was that tour that solidified our plan to go back to the bird park. We wish that we had more time as we would have like to explore more of the botanical gardens!
Can you believe I have lasted this entire 5 months with one scrunchie, one elastic and one hair clip?! But they are often left behind. LOL! Also - wow that humidity!!
If you are ok having dinner without alcohol, I suggest you to try eating Malaysian food at Kampong Baru. Just cross the Saloma bridge next to the Petronas tower.
Oh yes! We had some lovely satay and Nasi Lemak at Kampong Baru!! Delicious food and a lovely, lively street! Wish we lived closer to it and we would have gone more!
@mitchandjan actually people do not need to go to borneo to see orangutan. There is another sanctuary at taiping called bukit merah. The orangutans are free to roam, we humans walk through the cages to protect us.
@@keangwooichoo6138 We love to hear that! We are the ones that should be in cages! LOL. Borneo must be an amazing place for all of the biodiversity of plants and animals!!
Jalan Alor night market is known for the place where tourists got ripped with ridiculously overprice street food. These are the actual local prices which can be found at any local restaurants or pasar malam in KL: 1. Satay - only RM1 (chicken) or RM1.50 (beef) per stick. 2. Mee Goreng (fried noodles) around RM5 or RM6 per plate with chicken.
Yes, Jalon Alor is definitely touristy! We did find better prices in local spots! The prices you have listed area great reference for others travelling to KL. Thank you!!
We sooooo wanted to do the night bus and ran out of time!! Agreed, the night bus would be spectacular!! KL is all about the night life (not perfect for us, who like to go to bed early! LOL)
It does depend which bus that you get (and likely where you sit). The bus on the second day had MUCH better audio than our first bus, where we didn't hear much at all, unfortunately.
Yea, hop on hop off bus. Did it there too and loved it.
It has so many stops!! It's great!
Thank you for this lovely video. Hope that you guys have had a good time and a pleasant stay.
Thank you so much! We had an amazing stay in KL!
@@mitchandjan Wonderful. 😀
The musuem was cute
Well, cute, but not worth the money LOL. Let us save you the time and money! LOL. (Not a true "museum", more of a fun house of illusions)
Walkways are so nice there.
They are a life saver! Makes walking so much more enjoyable!
Stay cool.....Thanks for taking us with you!!!.....Well done!!!
You are most welcome. Thank you for coming along!! Cheers!🥂
Great video you two should have your own TV show!!
LOL!!
Looks like a great place. Do you have a sister named Kim?
LOL - neither of us have a sister named Kim!

Jalan alor is pricey but quite good quality.

@mitchandjan if it is closed for a month that means ramadhan fasting month perhaps
We were actually there leading up to Ramadhan and for the first weeks of Ramadhan and they were closed even before! Maybe just a holiday for themselves.
Great eating street. Lived so close to it when I was there. Awesome food 🎉
We lived close to it as well. There were other great eating streets, but not as easy for us to walk to.
Hop on hop off is good for a general tour of the city so that you can revisit the more interesting sites later.
That was exactly our plan. To scope out the city! It was that tour that solidified our plan to go back to the bird park. We wish that we had more time as we would have like to explore more of the botanical gardens!
The peanut sauce is not thick enough for the satay. Suppose to stick on the satay.
Agreed. We loved it when we found thick satay sauce!!!

It is hot and humid but it is a megadiverse country for bio diversity.
Absolutely! We can't wait to explore more of this country...maybe Borneo? 😀
@@mitchandjan absolutely borneo. The amazon of asia. The orangutan is the only great ape of asia.

Lion fish is venomous. Piranha better not get into our rivers.
That would be awful to have piranha in your rivers.
Malaysia has the second largest mall in the world 101 putrajaya
Oh wow! That doesn't surprise us! KL may have the most amount of malls in the world in one city! LOL
