Yes, Malaysia is definitely underrated as a tourist destination and how tourist friendly it is. It is one of the most diverse countries in the world, in terms of race, culture, and foods. Your vlog covers most of the good stuff in KL, and its time to explore the rest of this beautiful country. Thanks for sharing your well presented vlog with us!😊
Welcome to Malaysia, for food, make sure you try all 3 Malaysian culture types : (in Malaysia, make sure to completely stir mix your drinks as Sugar or milk are usually at the bottom of the cup or mug, ALWAYS ask for less sugar if you don't like it too sweet as many shops/stalls have tendency to over sweetened drinks) - Malaysian Malay food to try: Nasi Lemak, Satay (skewed chicken, beef or Lamb), cendol (ice dessert), Nasi Kandar, Nasi Kerabu, Rendang chicken (spicy), Curry chicken, Mee Goreng, ikan Bakar, Ramly Burger (street food after 7pm) - Malaysian Indian food to try: Roti Canai, Capati, Tor Say, Indian version of curry chicken, beef and lamb, Teh tarik (drink) - Malaysian Chinese food to try: Char Kuey Teow (Fried noodles, very popular), Hokkien mee, Prawn noodles, Popiah,...........Pork noodles, White Coffee, Apam Balik,.........too many. Go to ICC Pudu complex around 8am, you'll be hard pressed to choose. Jalan Alor (street name) is known for food (after 7pm) and it's more for tourists but many locals will eat there every day. * your tolerance of spiciness is important in Malaysia, if your tolerance is low, make sure to order with specific remarks - very little chillies as less chillies are still spicy to many. Places to visit if you are staying for a month or two, outside of Kuala Lumpur at higher altitude and jacket required, places like Genting Highlands, Cameron Highlands and Langkawi's Sky Bridge, these 3 are perfect for western foreigners as the coldness is a getaway from the heat of KL. Within Kuala Lumpur, if you like birds, Malaysia has the biggest "free flight" aviary in the world called KL Bird Park (check their entrance ticket online), Shopping malls like Sunway Pyramid Mall (30 mins away from KL by car), Pavilion (heart of KL), KLCC Twin towers (night time fountain show). Hope I didn't bore you with my lengthy suggestions.
Thank you for your kind words about KL.. we love KL to be underated.. most visitors will be surprise when they visited KL and Malaysia. If you love nature then you can visit Lake Titiwangsa, Lake Perdana, Botanical Garden (free), Bukit Nenas (nature hike with entrance fees), Bukit Tugu (free). There is also Saloma Bridge which connected old Kg Baru (Old Malays Village) and KLCC. Try Cable car and casino at Genting Highland (1hr drive)..

I'm watching this again because I really enjoyed this video. You have certainly captured the moments and essence of KL, the vibes, the charm and beauty of the city, beautifully narrated. It's a brilliant vlog, outstanding content, excellent editing. You literally showcase KL as a beautiful city.
If you enjoy malls in KL, roam around Bukit Bintang from KL Pavilion towards Berjaya Times Square, plenty of malls, in front of Berjaya is Low Yatt Plaza, a mall only for mobile, notepad, laptop, gadgets etc and not far from it is Lalaport, a newly opened Japanese mall. There are many mega malls in and around KL, the MidValley Mall, Damansara Heights Pavilion, Bukit Jalil Pavilion, One Utama Mall, IOI City Mall, Sunway Pyramid Mall which has Gordon Ramsay Pizza and next to it is the Sunway Resort which has the Gordon Ramsay Bar and Grill. Happy exploring. 😀
If you guys want to do an excursion trip from KL, about 1-2 hours away, is Genting Highlands, sitting on a hill is an outdoor and indoor amusement themed park and the biggest hotel in the world. Sometimes in a cooler day, it's all misty. Not far from this is Berjaya Hills, formerly Bukit Tinggi which has the Colmar Tropical Village inspired by the French Colmar Village in France. 😀
If you guys decide to explore more of Malaysia, head to either Penang or Malacca, both are a UNESCO world heritage sites. If you guys like tropical islands, do visit Langkawi near Andaman Sea, Kapas, Perhentian, Redang, Tioman off east coast in the South China Sea, and few other islands off coast Sabah especially near Semporna. Sabah and Sarawak on Borneo are two states of Malaysia have plenty to offer for tourists who like to see wildlife, orangutan and seaturtle sanctuaries, national parks, Mount Kinabalu, the highest mountain in Southeast Asia, or experience scuba diving at Sipadan island, one of the best spot in the world. English is widely spoken here because it's a British colony, not necessarily because it's a "melting pot" for different cultures. Sure, that contributes to it but we Malaysians grow up with english (school, tv, books etc). In fact, the people who don't speak english too well are likely immigrant workers (understandably so). So if u encountered workers in shops, restaurants etc who don't understand or speak english, chances are they are not Malaysians

Why don't you take the MRT to the outskirts i.e. Hulu Langat and take a Grab ride from the MRT station (preferably Sri Raya station) to the Dusun Tua or Sungai Serai hot springs, Sungai Congkak recreational forest, Sungai Gabai Waterfall. Then, take another Grab ride back to the Sri Raya MRT station and take a train to Kajang station. Kajang is the satay capital and there are so many choices. Willy Satay at Sungai Ramal is the best. There's also a mom and pop restaurant serving smoked duck called Mastar nearby, but go there before lunch because it's always full during lunch time. Or if you're feeling adventurous and don't mind forking out some money than the usual, take a Grab ride to Aunty Aini's Garden restaurant in Nilai for a good Negeri Sembilan meal. It's one of the usual lunch haunts among the MotoGP riders and teams during MotoGP season. Maybe you're lucky enough to meet Marc Marquez in person there 😅
