Thank you so much for using the most commonly used controller examples (no paddles, strike pack, configs, whatever). I do use paddles but only 2 (interact and heals) because my hands don't want to learn more. These are easy and authentic tips EVERY controller player could and should learn to incorporate.
honestly you should try to learn more. having 2 for jump and crouch are super good for movement, the time getting used to it is worth it. just a recommendation tho, if 2 is most comfortable for you, perfect!
@@burned812 I have tried more, but I have issues with fingers. I should probably try mapping them to be other buttons though. I've just used these for so long that I'm just lazy at this point lol
Quick tip on the zip line interaction, you don’t have to keep clicking to interact instead you can hold it to make this trick a lot easier on controller
THE only thing you really need in apex is mid fight air strafes forward and backwards so the enemy can not track you easily & bunny hop around the corner to heal. The rest doesn't really help you win fights but looks cool and you have more fun while playing
yeah, they seem to track you even if they don't know your next move. Then again, that's basic controller movement. When combined with pc inputs, it's a different story. My experience on console is that it might not help "fighting." But of course, running is a different story. If you combine the movement techniques, you can easily shake them off. Sometimes it is effective mid fight.
For helping with wall jumping off low objects like boxes that aren’t as tall and you accidentally grab when trying to wall jump, you can implement a side movement (pushing your stick left or right)as you hit the wall,it will stop you from grabbing and you can jump as normal to get your wall bounce
I think for me, R1 to jump is better because it's on the right. It's probably because I'm right-handed, thinking of doing all those movement techniques with the left trigger seems more difficult.
On smaller surfaces as you slide jump towards them pull your movement stick back away to cancel out the mantle if you notice that you’ll possibly do so and you’ll wall bounce normally same with the fatigue bounce and as far as that goes you waste your initial jump and you’ll be in a state which is called fatigue where you won’t jump as high as your first initial jump, (you’ve might’ve seen a lot of pro players do it which is called b-hopping which is having your crouch on hold to be able to keep crouch active while timing your jump just perfect to create forward momentum without actually having to sprint) after going into the state of fatigue you have less than a sec literally to jump onto and off of the wall creating a fatigue wall bounce. Just wanted to let peeps know, since those are one of the few tips I thought was helpful when I learned but he covered a lot of the basis on everything else. Superglide are really tough jump first ever so slightly followed up by your crouch immediately. Keep it up bro🙏🏽💯 Keep up the grinding promise it’ll pay off 💯Also I learned everything before I decided to use paddles , swapping a few buttons in game and learning claw for better accuracy and gameplay (my preference) 🙏🏽🙏🏽patience always wins the race.
You don’t get fatigue wall bounces 100% of the time because you’re doing them incorrectly or at least if I understood your explanation in the video correctly then that’s what I suspect. Their needs to be a jump or landing before jumping into the wall. After the slight fatigue or slowed movement from first touching the ground, you’re then allowed 1 too 2 steps to jump again and when you touch the wall jump again and then you will get the wall bounce affect.
Might be weird for many, but I switched my jump with the left bumper. Takes time getting accustomed to, but a lot of movement is easier in controller doing this
Were you able to get the super jump on a zip with it I’ve been playing on ninja for ever (left bumper jump right bumper slide) and I can’t get the super jump
@axowVR You're commenting on a video from 2 months ago bruh. Clearly you need some help XD Also why do you assume that I: have 120fps, tap strafe, use aim trainers or custom crosshairs ?
@axowVR Assuming I'm on PC as well. I'd argue with you but you'd beat me with your idiotic RUclips comment experience XD Have a good day sir. edit: I know it's the internet, man, but do you know how to spell?
Highly highly recommend jump as l1/lb. It’s strange to learn I know, but it’ll help with super glides, bunny hopping and super jumps. Also run crouch as r3. It’ll help so much.
Im very bad at remembering to wall bounce, like even after watching a vid of a guy using it on a building to suprise a guy an the roof who was ready to shoot them i emded up in the same situation but didnt wallbounce and died. Like its such a small thing, using it throughout the match and just practicing between fights and during rotations is so simple but important. Actually gonna try to use them more often even out of fights, same with superglides
I can hit 1 of 3 of my super glides, pretty consistent with my wall jumps and fatigue wall bounce but can't do super jumps for the life of me, tried everything......
They are really awkward to do without either claw, paddles, or different binds, as jump and interact aren't in great positions for looking around while super-jumping.
Yo try using evolved it’s not that hard to get a hang of and also use your crouch as hold gang I’ve been able to get so much more shit off, without the my hands being all awkward. Good luck
Can someone answer me this question does octane get a strafe speed when he stems aiming down sights I know he gets some more speed when he’s hip firing
@@MangosInTrees Ghost Strafes arent a Steam Config mechanic tho. The principle behind it is stopping a slide while moving your left stick in a desired direction and jumping a little bit after. An xbox console player named Newwy explains it in depth on her channel

You don’t HAVE/NEED to run or even slide for a wall jump my guy….. if done testing you can stationary wall jump, walk up to the wall and wall jump I even fell from a higher place and bounced(wall jumped) off the same/different wall. 4:09 also that wall has the slightest little lip which might be messing you up, try a more flat wall. Now make an aim video cause Lawd knows these kids need it out here missing standing still and oblivious targets. Or maybe a Gamesense video for the people who’s standing next to an enemy that’s killing their teammates and still don’t pay attention until that enemy has already killed them too

I'd suggest freeing up a paddle by binding heal wheel to clicking in right stick. So you can flick to select a heal in one motion.
I Can only say get 4 paddles and then use your heal on right stick. Jump and Crouch is a must on paddles.
