For response time in the monitor settings, you don’t want the fastest. The fastest is extreme, but in my experience with it, it doesn’t give any less delay, and the images look grainy when your moving around fast, and the screen gets blurred. Just use the fast response time, it’s the smoothest, and it’s the same input delay basically.
I got as high as 144 FPS on my 280hz 1080p predator monitor in fortnight on my Xbox series X with my hdmi 2.0 cable… so saying you will ONLY get 60fps with a hdmi cable is absolutely wrong!!
Hello! Please help with the Dell AW2721D Monitor Issue - Black Screen on display port from the kit to the monitor. Motherboard Asus z490 Wi Fi Plus, gigabyte RTX 3060Ti Windows 10 Pro x64. To answer more precisely, you want to look at your monitor's specs. Ideally, your 240hz monitor has a DisplayPort 1.4 input in which case you 100% want to pick up a DP 1.4 cable (but you also need a graphics card that supports DP 1.4). If this isn't an option for you, then the next best option is HDMI 2.0 -- which I'm betting your monitor is guaranteed to support given that it sounds like a gaming monitor. Bottom line: DP 1.4 > HDMI 2.0
