Ignore movie! Although I'm sure it would be great. With Ezra's return we have wonderful new potential to restore Legends stories, but with Ezra and Jacen instead of Luke and Leia! We also now have two families who are Force sensitive, who could take the place of the Skywalker family in Legends stories! Although Kylo Ren said killing Luke would kill the Jedi Order, Luke said he was wrong. This could be because of Rey, but what if Erza or Jacen or both had a child who had been trained for a while but then left like Jaina Solo Fell did in Star Wars Legends! There was a chance for them to return and become Jedi again. Also Stoke said he had an apprentice before Kylo Ren, could it be the child of Ezra or Jacen? Did the apprentice die or leave? Did Luke train the child at the start of his exile, but it was the child leaving that caused Luke to throw away his lightsaber and believe he could not be what Rey needs him to be? Ezra is the key to restoring the Jedi Legend Stories! Sadly, I doubt anyone will think of this!
Ezra Bridger started becoming my favorite Jedi ever since I first discovered that he had character inspiration from Aladdin and Daniel LaRusso from The Karate Kid and fans refer to him as “Space Aladdin”. For Dave Filoni’s Adaptation of Heir to the Empire, I think it’s best that Luke, Ezra, and Ahsoka should be the main stars of the movie. I also prefer Luke to be casted by a young actor like Sebastian Stan and I don’t know if Din Djarin and Grogu would appear in the movie since The Mandalorian & Grogu is releasing but they would be a great addition to the Heir to The Empire Movie as long as they are both connected.
So I'll go on to one more theory. Joruus C'baoth's character will be replaced by Taron Malicos, Mount Tantus will be replaced by Dathomir, and the Clone Armies from Mount Tantus will be replaced by the Night Sisters in those caskets. Sabin will be the Mara Jade replacement for Ezra. I may be wrong with Mount Tantis as Thrawn may ship those caskets to Mount Tantis from Dathomir depending on his agreement with the Night Sisters. Mount Tantuis is currently being utilized in the Bad Batch and we have not seen its usage (proposed storyline) until Season Three. Should they return in some fashion, Luke, Leia, and Han are a can of worms due to using AI, CGI, and de-aging tech, and the contract agreement recently approved from the two current Strikes (one resolved the other ongoing). These characters are a toss-up. Star Wars is made for multiple generations. Those that love and still love the original trilogy characters will never give up on them (I'm from that generation, too). But others that grew up with Clone Wars and, more specifically, Rebels, are having their day.
I so want to see Ezra take on Thrawn. I really believe that somehow Ballin could end up switching sides and start to fight against Thrawn. But my main question is what are they going to do with Shin. That stupid Senator Xeono just kill him and be done with that jerk.
even if ezra being the main character makes sense in a 'technical sense' since deaging is really not gonna cut it and with the history thrawn and ezra have, ezra defeating him will be like a full circle moment it still would feel off to 'nerf' or bench luke who's centric to the star wars galaxy. it doesn't make sense in-universe. it won't make sense that he'd ignore the thrawn threat in the galaxy and focus on the new jedi order. so really the only solution is recasting legacy characters. the han recast for solo was perfect, why not recast luke and leia too ? if disney dont want to do that then we have a big problem.
As a rebels, fan since day one, and a long time Thrawn fan I’m so into this concept. I know it won’t be a beat for beat adaptation, and I’m absolutely fine with it. I love what Jon and Dave have been setting up and I think this new version will be something truly special. Plus, with the existing history between the two of them, Ezra really does make the perfect opponent for thrawn.
Luke will likely show up in the last battle where he has already met Mara Jade and their issue and at the end he decides to settle down with Mara and the new Jedi Order and take Hera's son as a new apprentice.
@@swedishfarmboy07 Ezra and Jacen? I would like to think they would survive. The Ghost records say it fights at Exegol, so Jacen could have survived and fought there, and we don't hear Ezra talking to Rey, and the Emperor went after Ezra a few times, so it would make sense to hear Ezra if he were dead. As for Mara, in Legends she was killed by her nephew Jacen Solo, who became Ben Solo in Canon, so she likely met the same fate. Any children between Luke and Mara, well, they must have died or Ben hunted them down and killed them. It's also possible that Ezra and Jacen had gone on a mission and came back and found the temple destroyed and went back to Hera or became inside men in the First Order. Ezra was 47 when Luke's temple fell and Jacen was 29. They could easily join the New Order as spies and later the Resistance.
Truth! Ezra is also ideal because Rebels allowed us to see him grow as a Jedi padawan, flirt with the Dark Side, and mature into the hero he is now. Contrast Rey, who just spontaneously became a Jedi Master within the span of a week in-universe. Like many people, I prefer not to think of the sequels too much. But what if Luke's academy, destroyed by his nephew, wasn't the only Jedi game in town? Ezra might have trained others in later years, including Hera and Kanan's son. After all, Luke didn't really have much qualifications as a Jedi teacher, since his own training had been rushed compared to other Jedi who spent *years* earning the right to swing a lightsaber. This was why Luke handled his nephew so badly. Obi-Wan and Yoda had focused on preparing him to fight Vader and Palpatine, not to organize a new Jedi Order. It was a key point in the Thrawn trilogy that Luke himself was concerned that he knew too little and that was why he sought out Joruus C'baoth, whom he thought was a legit Jedi Master. Ezra *has* earned his status as a Jedi *and* he has a lot of experience in opposing Thrawn. He's perfect to serve as Thrawn's Jedi adversary. Maybe he didn't have an academy, but he can certainly train others as Kanan did him.
