What If.... I've literally deleted both the OS partition and the Recovery partition and created a new disk from that unallocated space.
But now have no windows partition. Why can WindowsPE run all of MBR2GPT and yet suddenly require an existing OS partition to start the job? any workaround?

I couldn't see what you did here. I got this problem but the os is already set as default. The error I'm getting is: FindOSPartitions: Cannot get volume name for the recovery boot entry. Error: 0x000000EA

I still get the 'cannot find os partition(s) for disk 0 mbr2gpt'
Under system config->Boot menu-> it says 'Windows 10 (C:\WINDOWS) Current OS; Default OS' C: is on Disk 1 in my disk management. Which I assume is why I'm getting the error as it is trying to find the Boot on Disk 0?????
    Disk 0 is a 1TB HD with 2 partitions.
Disk 1 is a 120 GB SSD with 2 partitions. C: with Healthy boot, crash dump, Primary partition) and a healthy recovery partition.
Disk 2 is a Samsung evo hybrid 500GB with 1 partition.
Any help would be much appreciated.

      What is the correct command please? mbr>tab> /convert /disk:1 /allowfullos or mbr>tab> /disk:1 /convert /allowfullos

Both are fine. you can skip the disk parameter. It will automatically use the disk from where the operating system is running.

Unfortunately it didn't work. I've found the root of the issue. Windows is booting from Disk 0, system reserved partition, but windows is on Disk 1 (C:) partition, primary partition. I've made a clone of the reserved partition in Disk 0 and added it to disk 1 as system reserved. Unfortunately that doesn't work either as my PC still boots from 0 and not the clone I placed in Disk 1 where Windows is. I also can't delete the system reserved in Disk 0 as that is in use, so it won't let me, also BIOS would have noted that my PC boots from there. Tomorrow I'll make a clone of C: on disk 1 where Windows is and put it in Disk 0 where the PC is booting from, that way I should be able to clean Disk 1 and hopefully that will resolve the issue. If not I see no other way than to reinstall windows. Obviously I did a back up of all my files etc to an external Hard drive. Maybe's you have another idea how I can resolve this issue without reinstalling Windows? Sorry to keep bothering you my friend and your help is much appreciated.
