Hi Laura. My children are all grown now, but when they were school-age, it was always so difficult when the time will change. Everybody was off for at least two weeks. Everyone was more tired than usual. I wish they would leave the time alone.

Hi Laura. I'm an American whose homestate is MO. 🙌🏾😀. I have been following your channel since returning to MO from GA years back. Fast forward, during my time back in my home city, I held a pivotal position for a major non profit, cultural institution, having left teaching and went back into teaching later. Ultimately, I wanted more time to spend with my now 16 year old son. I opened my own business that has been up for about 8 years. It is a natural hair and skin care company. Back in the day, when "Our Oily House" had a majority of videos related to proper use of essential oils, I learned a lot from you about essential oils and implemented it into my business. We have all of our original recipes, but your knowledge on essential oils, helped.
I continued watching as the content on your channel expanded. We now live in East Africa and have been a resident in my current country for almost 2 and half years. I'm still watching! You have no idea how nostalgic it is for me to tune in from this part of the world since my family is thousands of miles away right now😢. I have mixed countless batches of our natural hair and skin care products while tuning into your channel, since it's so soothing. What's even better.....drumroll.....The way your channel has evolved and expanded, is relevant to this chapter of my life as well. Part of our goals for being here, deal with agriculture and sustainable living. Your videos keep me motivated to do it all and keep me company while I'm doing my chores. I even added carrots to a minced beef dish a moment ago, because I saw another video of yours earlier today and you added carrots to meat loaf.
I don't usually comment, but I thought it was worth dropping this, so you know how far your reach is, how successful you have been in maturing your channel as your life changes and to hear from someone from your hometown, who started following your channel in MO and is now all the way in Africa! I have learned a lot from you. Blessings to you and your family all the way from Africa😊

What a blessing about your property! Glad you have time and ability to prep so well! I envy you. I'm about to be 69, we're trying to retire(business owners) and move back to original home area near what family is left. Buying property is ridiculously priced-(how God blessed us with what we found!). But beginning the get ready to sell, move, prep to build and build right now is daunting..... But God is Faithful and has the plan already taken care of. Bless you dear one! ❤

I’m so excited for you and your property! It sounds wonderful! That’s something we always wanted to do, his parents had 135 acres and he was an only child. He was always told that it would be his one day. His dad ended up in a nursing home with Altzheimers disease. His mom took us to breakfast one day and told us she had divorced his dad and listed the property for sale. We were devastated! But we are blessed to have our house where we raised our 4 kids. Good luck with it all!
