Pause at 1:06 theres a Potter on the Black family tree called charuls Potter Who married dorea Black and had a son who was born before 1977 and died before October 1981 sirus and Harry are related
You may be onto something there Dean, about the Blacks dying young (for Wizards) because inbreeding deteriorated their health quicker. Maybe you should look into the Gaunt Family Tree and see if inbreeding in their family saw early deaths in the previous generations it may solidify this theory!
Here is a question to chat about. If a pureblood family has a child who is a squib and that squib marries a pureblood and they have a child. Is that child a pureblood still or considered something different?
I think he is pure blood because his grandparents are wizards. I read something (I can't remember witch site) like : "a wizard can be considered pure if his 4 grandparents are wizards". But I'm not sure 🤔🤔
One thing that has always bemused me was that Sirius explained his relationship to the Malfoys, Tonks & the Weasleys but completely omitted Harry’s relationship to the Black family through Charlus Potter’s marriage to Dorea Black and their Son who were likely first and second cousins to Henry Potter Harry’s great grandfather and Fleamont potter his grandfather. They weren’t that far off the family tree as Dorea was the aunt to Walburga Sirius’s mother and his cousins the Black sisters. The ironic part was that Harry quickly saw and pointed out to the Malfoys relation to Sirius but missed to recognized his own family’s connection to the Blacks.
Just realized all these purebreds are bragging about being imbreds. Imagine if hermione had pointed this out to Draco after making one of his mudblood comments to her. Don’t get me wrong, I love Draco just as much as the next girl, but you have to admit, his reaction would be hilarious.
well i did hear that draco warned hermione about the death eaters and would kill her or something like that which is weird because he called draco a mudblood
In actual fact, Walburga was born 1925, and while we do not know her exact date of birth, Tom Riddle was born 31 Dec 1926, and as the school year starts in September, Walburga would have been a year above Tom, though they likely would still know each other as they were both Slytherins.
My guess is the reason the Black Family Tree only goes back to the 1800s on the tapestry is because that century is when the family moved into Grimmauld Place and made it the main family home. So he started the family tree in the house from when he moved in there
Wait at 1:02 you can see callodora black and Harphang Longbottom and then you see in the same family line Arthur Weasley Mom does that mean Neville and Ron are related Never knew that Also I feel almost all the famous families present now are somewhat related to the black family
Absolutely fascinating how all the Blacks died young, I also find it ironic that the Black family's pureblood beliefs are what ultimately destroyed it.
Make a video about the possibility that a lot of British wizarding families might have French origins, such as based on their family names, the possibility that they all came from France during the Norman conquest of England, and that they would traditionally teach their children the French language.
Harry is a black! Neville is a black! Ron is a black! Oh wait..... YAXLEY IS CROUCH IS CRABBE IS AND wait....... Weasley was before the Prewetts became blacks so Molly Prewett and Arthur Weasley are cousins so they shouldn’t have gotten married and Harry Potter and Ginny Weasley are cousins so it’s true that the blacks mostly marry cousins! 😂
What did PNB's portrait think when he learned that his family name was extinct after Sirius died? Why did he help the Golden Trio if he was against Muggles? Where did the "Black family madness" come from?

I have a question Sirius was blasted off the tree, but if he had married a pureblood witch (which he did not) and had had a magical child (which he did not), would he have been restored with his wife and child or am I asking a dumb question
I dont think he would, he was blasted off the tree when he was 16. He hated pure-blood ideology, loved muggleborns and muggles, sorted into gryffindor n i bet those things already made him a bloodtraitor. The final straw was when he ran away
In Order of the Phoenix there’s a part where someone says the family tree tapestry had been in the family for 700 years so they go WAY back past the 1800s.
Do Muggle Borns have a longer life too? Like will Hermione die at 120 or 90? Also, maybe the blacks all lived shorter cuz they were inbred more than the other families?
I got a great theory here listen to me: Harry and Ron are related via Charlus Potter who married Dorea Black, then Marius Black, who was a squib, went ln to live a muggle life, and he is incredibly Hermione’s ancestor, and there she got her magical gene from. All sums up to, the trio is actually related

idk if newer information with the fantastic beast films, but the black family tree contains the potters, weasleys, obviously draco malfoy, and many many more. while yes, the whole “pure blood” thing is thrown out, but regardless the black blood line still lives on through many many people you don’t realize.
Could there have been squibs who either immigrated to America with a non wizarding parent, after either the death or desertion of their wizarding parent and be raised as a non maj with any knowledge that they would have had with the wizarding world oblivated by their wizarding relatives or they came to the US before they could remember anything about the wizarding world? With the US having a law banning wizarding people to associate with the non-maj's that could be a possibility and could we have already been introduced to such a squib in the Fantastic Beasts movies with Jacob where such a move winds up causing heartache? Jacob's parents could have died before they could tell him the truth about his parentage and there was the Spanish Influenza epidemic in 1918 where he would have been away at that time.

@@karinano1stan still Harry is distantly related. Charlus Potter was possibly Fleamont's brother or cousin(most possibly cousin). So what he said was most likely correct.
Also Sirius Black said that all pure blooded wizards and witches are related in some way.
@@kirbybunz I agree, but that's still not by blood.
@@karinano1stan wdym it's not by blood🤔🤔🤔
There's a Marius in the Harry Potter universe? The same universe that has Eddie Redmayne in film adaptations?
*Gets out corkboard, red rope, tacks, and pictures of Marius Pontmercy and Newt Scamander*
All the people who dislike your videos are the people who think it means “no way that’s true!”to your theory’s and amazing knowledge
Both Sirius and Regulus had an empty casket funereal 😢
It’s so confusing, and chaotic, and like, spread over so many types of ppl, and they have disowned so many ppl! And yet, it’s so perfectly organized, and peaceful, and makes so much sense!
Amazing video. Black family tree is the most fascinating family I have ever heard of! Love you and the channel! U are the best! 🥰
The Black family but everyone is white.
It is magic
Another great video Dean. Keep up the good work and great commentary as always and I can't wait to see you're next video.
Good one Dean my favorite family in the books so glad did this
I'm finally early!!!!
Love the video
I always wondered what The Black family tree was like
Thank you Dean for making another Black family related video
As Sirius mentions, all pure blood families are related. Can you make a video on the House of Black's family relations with other pure blood wizarding families?
Can you please do the life of......
- Lavander Brown
- Percy Weasley
- Fred and George
- Hannah Abbott
- Colin Creevey
- Molly Weasley
- Arthur Weasley
- Rose Weasley
- Lily Luna Potter
- Filus Flitwick
- Aberforth Dumbledore
Thank you!
Okay.... just putting it out there, I did some research distantly Harry was related to Sirius, I forget how but I remember it VERY CLEARLY. So technically Harry and Ginny are married and distantly related.
WHY DID I EVEN MENTION THIS???!!
Pause at 1:06 theres a Potter on the Black family tree called charuls Potter Who married dorea Black and had a son who was born before 1977 and died before October 1981 sirus and Harry are related
I just noticed that the Weasley, Potter, Longbottom, and Crabbe are related to the Black Family by marriage.
You may be onto something there Dean, about the Blacks dying young (for Wizards) because inbreeding deteriorated their health quicker. Maybe you should look into the Gaunt Family Tree and see if inbreeding in their family saw early deaths in the previous generations it may solidify this theory!
Love this video keep up the great work 🧡🧡
Da*n , you fast
Here is a question to chat about. If a pureblood family has a child who is a squib and that squib marries a pureblood and they have a child. Is that child a pureblood still or considered something different?
I think he is pure blood because his grandparents are wizards. I read something (I can't remember witch site) like : "a wizard can be considered pure if his 4 grandparents are wizards". But I'm not sure 🤔🤔
Early!! Love these vids!! Keep them up!
Love this channel!!
I always wanted this!
Btw , I think there is some problem with the sound. Coz background music can hardly be heard
Its better that way anyway, I find background music annoying and sometimes makes videos unwatchable, this way we can hear his voice tell the story
@@ambzerambzer8800 for you and many others, maybe.
There was background music?

Just realized all these purebreds are bragging about being imbreds. Imagine if hermione had pointed this out to Draco after making one of his mudblood comments to her.
Don’t get me wrong, I love Draco just as much as the next girl, but you have to admit, his reaction would be hilarious.
well i did hear that draco warned hermione about the death eaters and would kill her or something like that which is weird because he called draco a mudblood
I was thinking of the house of Lestrange family tree or Scavo. Family tree
Great vid dean yr videos are getting good
You’re my fav Harry Potter you tuber I love your accent it just fits with Harry potter
So, which black went to school with Tom riddle??
By the way I though Sirius made Harry black heir??
Walburga Black went to Hogwarts with Tom. They were both born on 1926 so it was likely that they were classmates.
In actual fact, Walburga was born 1925, and while we do not know her exact date of birth, Tom Riddle was born 31 Dec 1926, and as the school year starts in September, Walburga would have been a year above Tom, though they likely would still know each other as they were both Slytherins.
Amazing video! I was wondering if you could do a video What if Sirius was sorted into Slytherin. Keep up the great content.
My guess is the reason the Black Family Tree only goes back to the 1800s on the tapestry is because that century is when the family moved into Grimmauld Place and made it the main family home. So he started the family tree in the house from when he moved in there
Could you do a video on the Weasley family?
He already did
Maartje Grippeling no he didn’t, r u sure your not talking about MovieFlame?
Wait at 1:02 you can see callodora black and Harphang Longbottom and then you see in the same family line Arthur Weasley Mom does that mean Neville and Ron are related Never knew that
Also I feel almost all the famous families present now are somewhat related to the black family
You can also see the name 'Potter'👀
what
Remember they say almost all wizarding families are related.
FINALLY SOMEONE ELSE REALIZED THIS
Nearly everybody in the Harry Potter books is from the house of Black
@@witchluisamultifandom1212 true that
What did PNB's portrait think when he learned that his family name was extinct after Sirius died? Why did he help the Golden Trio if he was against Muggles? Where did the "Black family madness" come from?
The Potters always welcomed Sirius Black into their family and went as far as made him Harry's godfather
When you say living under a rock with such intensity as if it’s not good to live under a rock. I live under a rock and am completely mentally stable.
Thanks for the video it was really good I love all your videos.
So interesting.Thank you Dean❤
Hey Harry potter theory can do video on the difference between the Confundus charm and the Imperious Curse? They SEEM very similar can tell us and me the difference and similarity of the Imperious Curse and Confundus charm try doing a video on that please?
Confundus tricks you into wanting to so whatever. While imperious forces you to ones trickery and ones mind control
Maybe Licorus Black lied about the "noble and most ancient" part, if we don't know his parents, they could've been muggles for all we know
Very much enjoy your Harry Potter videos. Keep up the good work.
I knew that Potter and the Malfoys are related!
I have a question
Sirius was blasted off the tree, but if he had married a pureblood witch (which he did not) and had had a magical child (which he did not), would he have been restored with his wife and child or am I asking a dumb question
What if this Licorus Black invented the whole "Noble and Most Ancient" thing?
What kind of bird is that shadowed on the crest?
Amazing vid
Again
Intense intro! Loved it!
Do Muggle Borns have a longer life too?
Like will Hermione die at 120 or 90?
Also, maybe the blacks all lived shorter cuz they were inbred more than the other families?
All the blacks was killed. Not 'died'
I would love to hear if there is any more history behind the Dumbledore family

1:06 did I just see a POTTER
Well I knew Blacks and Potters were related in marriage and stuff but THIS
I love all your Harry potter videos
I got a great theory here listen to me: Harry and Ron are related via Charlus Potter who married Dorea Black, then Marius Black, who was a squib, went ln to live a muggle life, and he is incredibly Hermione’s ancestor, and there she got her magical gene from. All sums up to, the trio is actually related
I also thought about Marius' possible muggle descendants. I have even read fanfic about Snape surviving the war and dating one of those lol.
Kate S dear god that’s sick, snape and daiting, can’t relate
@@alinecosac4887 some people apparently can. 😆
Anyway it was a rather ok fanfic. But if I was to write a fanfic about muggle Blacks it would be very different
Kate S yeah, mine too, i would somehow make the golden trio relatives
Tourjours pur (on the family coat of arms) means ‘always pure’ in French
Love your vids dean
idk if newer information with the fantastic beast films, but the black family tree contains the potters, weasleys, obviously draco malfoy, and many many more. while yes, the whole “pure blood” thing is thrown out, but regardless the black blood line still lives on through many many people you don’t realize.
May I just say THANK YOU SO MUCH!!
Everyone is related to everyone if you're pure blood even Voldemort ❤
Best video ever
So technically speaking Arthur is Sirius’ 3rd cousin, which make Ron and Draco Family .
