I always feel for Regulus, while Sirius had friends who helped him understand not everything was like his parents raised him to believe, Regulus had to discover all of that by himself.

I love how J.K. made all good Slytherins out to be more helpful to Harry in destroying the horcruxes. Afterall Slytherins are suposed to be cunning and resourceful. After 20 years, J.K. still amazes me.
@@raikaria3090 yeah I think a bit of peer pressure and inherited family views play a part in how a lot of them view "blood" too. Draco was a spoilt, racist, snob throughout most of the books because it's all he knew growing up with the parents and friends he had, it wasn't until he got in too deep with Voldemort that he started changing, and by Cursed Child (for those that count it) where we see he had grown out of it and was from what I can remember (literally read it once when it came out) an alright chap :)
You know what's tragic? In the end, Regulus and Sirius were more similar than different, and neither of them knew it. They both made the right choice. They both fought for the right side. Regulus, the son that most conformed to his parents' beliefs made the exact same choice as his reckless and rebellious older brother. Each thought the other was a coward.
I realised something as I was reading your comment. Maybe the reason Harry didn't see Sirius when he died and saw his parents and Dumbledore is because he was with Regulus, catching up on lost time.
@@nelsoncherrier3855 I saw this and cried because what if your right and Sirius and Regulus were catching up? What if Sirius asked Regulus how he died and when and Regulus wasn't able to answer without getting upset? What if Regulus was watching Sirius from the day he died to the day Sirius died? What if he was trying to steer Sirius away from what he knew would happen, but Sirius just couldn't hear him? There are so many 'what if's that it makes me think, "What if Regulus didnt die at all?" Cause what if he didn't?
It is so sad that Sirius died before knowing what a true hero his brother Regulus was 😭 So whatever happened to their parents? Did they both die in the first wizarding war?
It's funny, isn't it? The ones who tried hardest to bring Voldemort down were his followers and admirers: Regulus Black and Snape (and Narcisa Malfoy).
@@katyarekha6585 neither are about 20-40 scenes in the movies Or are you being sarcastic and making fun of people who say stuff like that, i can't tell pver the internet
Man, I completely forgot about this particularly tragic part of the story. I felt so sorry for Kreacher in the books but I love the part where he leads the house elves at the battle of Hogwarts in the name of Regulus who died looking like a coward but ended up being one of the most brave. I liked that part about Regulus. His bravery wasn't for the sake of glory or self serving. Protecting the his loved ones was enough reward for him even if it meant the memory of him being seen in a very negative light from then on. Like I said, tragic is the only way to describe his character and I think his part in taking down Voldemort is too often overlooked or forgotten, even by myself.
After i read the books, i become so mad with the movie because they drop this story part it was such important and really interesting story idk why they drop it, this is just as bad as how they cut the Voldemort past and the battle of the astronomy tower in hbp.
Kreatures final line is just so wholesome like literally "Fight...fight... Fight for my master" is so wholesome and shows how loyal kreature is to regulus And the "Defender of house-elves!" Shows that kreature also cares about his fellow house elves a lot" And finally "Fight the dark lord, in the name of brave regulus" shows how much kreature cares, obeys, and overall extremely kind and is still keeping regulus'es arc continuing
You'd be surprised how little a fan fic author can work with. My idea of Regi is very fandom created, but I love the way the fandom paints him. Goes to show how much a fandom can influence a character sometimes :3
That seems to be how most Slytherins are remembered in the Wizarding Wars. Draco Malfoy's hesitation and unwillingness to condemn Harry to death by identifying him at the Malfoy Manor in book 7 is what allowed Potter to escape in the end. Maybe not hero-worship worthy, but something should be said for it. Slytherins all get the short end of the stick when it comes to glory for their deeds.
Regulus's story reminds me a little of Snape. Both started doing wrong, with going with Voldemort. But in the end, by knowing things of or from someone they cared about (Lily and Kreacher) they started to redeem themself and ended up dying for the safety of the wizarding world. Both so grey and amazing characters in Harry Potter. Their last deed was of heroes, even if their life before was not (bullying and such). Love this you do with HP characters. Keep on going. ^_^
Toradono But if we closely notice Snape's character, he only saved Harry because he was the son of the woman whom Snape loved. Had Harry been someone else's son, Snape wouldn't have saved him anytime from Voldemort.
Also, it seems as though Regulus stopped being a Death Eater because he realized how evil Voldemort was and, morally, couldn't do it anymore. Snape, on the other hand, only stopped being a Death Eater because Voldemort was going after Harry, and thus, Lily was at risk. Had it been someone else's kid, then, Snape wouldn't have cared, and thus would probably have remained a Death Eater. It wasn't because he realized it was wrong (like Regulus). It was because he never respected Lily's feelings of love for James, never respected her choice to marry James, and never let her go.
I think Regulas was a good person at heart. He wasn’t evil just misguided, the environment he lived in was very hostile and he didn’t want to be abandoned by his parents.
he also had to break up with his boyfriend (james potter, fight me) and his parents didnt give him a choice or allow leaving to be an option like it was for sirius.
@@adrinapx(a fellow Jegulus shipper!) but think of it, if Sirius had left then the responsibility of being the heir to the family would fall onto Regulus. And he doesn’t have any other siblings, so his parents would make sure regulus followed the rules and lived up to his expectations, because they couldn’t afford to have another son rebel against them. They couldn’t disown him if he was the only heir they had
thats the way it always goes. Any one who sees a movie that's based or adapted from a book and really enjoys it, should immediately go out and buy said book. It will always be better 10 out of 10 times.

@@tiffprendergast Kreacher redeems himself in the books. The movies never gave him his redemption. In the books after Harry gives him the locket Kreacher becomes nice to the trio and during the battle of Hogwarts Kreacher leads the other house elves in battle against the death eaters claiming to "fight, fight for my master defender of house elves"
Right?. This was really good story and an important part in the book that change everyone view for Kreacher, idk why they decided to cut this part, this is as bad as how they cut Voldemort past in the hbp.
The black families and the riddles and gaunt are so fascinating. Each had family traditions and abstracts which shape the character. And the black cousins are very dynamics.
I really liked Regulus's character development, it shows how he started off like a blind puppet on a dark path, and then how he changed and died a hero.
Notice how two Slytherins (Regulus Black and Severus Snape) were better at defeating Voldemort and ultimately helping Harry than James Potter and Sirius Black. The latter Gryffindors were kind and brave but made stupid decisions, like trusting Peter Pettigrew and not closing loopholes when ordering Kreacher.
DG I would not go that far. Severus while brave it is true Harry's parents would not have died had it not been for him. He did not go straight until he found out that Voldemort was going after Lily. Regulus gave his life doing the right thing but by the time that Harry retrieved the fake horcrux he already knew about them. Who knows what he did for the Dark Lord before he saw the light.
One of the most tragic things about the Harry Potter stories is that Voldemort never even found out that Regulus betrayed him and stole his Horcrux from the cave. It would have been deeply satisfying to see the look on Voldy's face if he had gone to check on his Horcrux and found Regulus's note.
That was actually sadder to me than Dumbledore's death lol. That satisfying 'Fuck you' note never reached Lord Thingy... Why couldn't Harry have read it aloud in the final battle to a crowd of jeering DA members?
Wahh I'm crying 😭😭Regulus was not less of a hero than Sirius .... There should be a better part of him in the movies 😭.. Once again MovieFlame has given us an outstanding Harry Potter video .. I bet there ain't any better than this one ... N that too two exceptional vids in a week which is totally awesome... I'm telling every Potterhead should be here .. best channel ever 😍😍 keep up with the good work best wishes❤️
Wow man, you must have spent a lot of time doing this... 2 quality videos in a week? I wasn't expecting it. That's pretty impresive. I really appreciate it, I love your style of doing videos, keep doing them like that! Love your work and passion.
18 year old regulus black died alone to save a house elf in hopes of someone destroying voldemort through his sacrifice and yet severus bullying children snape is the slytherin hero...
They should have a portrait of regulus with slughorn in the Slytherin common room. I heard they put slughorn in the common room, so they should totally put regulus
Regulus Black is one of my favourite character. I think he loved his family and the fact that him thinking about getting disowned by his own family like his brother was disowned scared him too. So he just went with people's expectations that were forced on him. But , ultimately he came out of his own shell. He's one great hero.
Regulus black was by far my favourite character in Harry Potter, yet in the movies he did not appear at all. Thank you Morgan for this in-depth insight into his complex character. As always I find these vids not only intellectual but also entertaining. Keep up the terrific portrayals of the less appreciated characters please. I would have loved to see regulus in more depth in the movies, and for people who have only seen the movies these videos can also educate them! Keep up the breathtaking content on this channel!!
I'm pretty much just a movie Watcher and these videos of freaking awesome. but from a movie standpoint I don't see how they could have put him in in a conceivable way without destroying the structure of the film it's just too much information.
Rowan07001484 I dunno really. I just find his character so interesting. It’s so cool for me to see how someone can go from bad to good so easily. I just find him very captivating, and admire him for finding out about the hourcruxes. He was an unsung hero and died knowing people thought him a coward, yet died very nobely indeed
I loved his character from the books my hope is in years to come when the make it a TV series the will have time to include characters like Regulus in more detail.
The wait is over, finally a video that shows how underrated Regulus is. He is one of my all time favorite wizarding world characters who makes all slytherins very proud. Thanks so much for this vid & this series Morgan!
It makes me sick to know that after Regulus got dragged by the Inferi and drowned, he turned into one of the Inferi himself... He deserved a better life. Plus I'm actually annoyed that Sirius ran away and left Regulus all by himself and probably didn't bother to contact him. Either way, Respect to R. A. B.
I'm pretty sure that the Inferi are just flesh puppets animated by black magic. Their souls are in the afterlife. Only their bodies remain. So its ok. Regulus' soul is resting in peace
i agree that sirius shouldnt have left him by himself, but it was hinted that his family was abusive and they were already blood supremacists. so sirius had to run away lol
Sirius and Regulus were both brought up by the same parent, where Sirius was elder and had made friends with peps out of the family circle. Regulus would have seen how his oldest brother had acted and been treated[disowned], he was still living with his parent and never talks of friends only the house elf. He was recruited by Voldemort, probably partly to please his parents. When he found out how ruthless and evil Voldemort was he rebelled. Regulus like Snape were both enthralled by Voldemort and the prestige amongst their piers on seeing his true nature they helped fight against V & his followers, trying to keep their loved ones safe. They were mistaken not bad & ALL THREE very brave.
He gave his life trying to protect his family, even though he thought he was doing the right thing following the dark lord, but changed his mind and like his brother, died trying to do the right thing.
I think that Regulus and mabye slughorn were the only true Slytherins in the series. Because "evil" isn't a slytherin trait. It is a people trait. But slughorn for example was very cunning, ambitious and hard working to achieve his goals. And Regulus was determined to fight for the people he was loyal to even if it meant his own death. He made a mistake and he realized it and fought against the dark lord. Which is very slytherin in my opinion.
It really is sad that Sirius never knew how much of a hero his brother was. He would have been proud. Also an AU where Regulus somehow lives, and helps out the Order would be great. My boy is so underappreciated.
Oh wow! Now it made sense! Kreacher was freed for wearing the fake necklace that actually belong to RAB! I didn't even pay attention to that part! Again, very beautifully well done! I'm in tears again! ❤❤❤
i read the books so many times and i know the story very well but i watched the video to see how you would tell it to us and wasn t disappointed at all. this video is amazing and made me want to go to the world of harry potter and use a timeturner just to tell sirius and the others what happened so he doesn t die not knowing this
It's sad how underused a character with as great an arc as Regulus Black. Living with everyone looking at you as a coward is one of the hardest things to do and this video shows Regulus's story
My thoughts exactly! And it's actually similar to Snape's story, who had to live for a year with all of his friends hating him and thinking he murdered the best person they ever knew when he was weakened and unarmed.
Regulus did not "call" Kreacher back... He had given Kreacher orders to do the Dark Lord's bidding, and then return home. Kreacher had to follow the orders he was given.
Actually it was not the same thing for me as someone who does not know a lot about the lore in Harry Potter. I actually took him by the word and thought he "called" him back and thus was very confused because i asked myself "how does Regulus know when the tasks are finished and voldemort left so he can call him back". Cleared things up for me!
Yeah, exactly. I think MovieFlame made that mistake because Kreacher doesn't use past perfect. It would immediately make sense to everyone, had Kreacher said "Master had told Kreacher to come home, so Kreacher came home." But he says "Master told Kreacher..." If I remember correctly, it's because Kreacher doesn't use all the tenses English has, just like Dobby and Winky.
not more. Regulus got salty over how his elf was treated by voldemort. everyone says it was to protect his family but I'm not buying it I think it was more about his elf.
Yay! I was so hoping you'd make a video on Regulus, he's one of my favorite characters and in my opinion, one of the bravest in the series. He's mentioned so little, yet has one of the saddest stories of all
I love this character, even though he wasn't brought up much in the books or the movies, but he stood up for what was right and cared for his employees (the house elves, especially Kreacher). He could have easily discarded his elf and selfishly ran away, but eventually stood up against Lord Voldemort. He could have just left his house-elf, but instead, he sacrificed himself for his elf and was able to switch the lockets.
I'm a bit upset with Sirius now. I understand he didn't know what his brother did, but still talks about his brother being a coward, trying to quit being Voldemort servant. That is cold. He died realizing, that he made a huge mistake following him and trying to leave. He had the nerve to call his brother a coward. For all Sirius knew, Regulus wanted to turn over a knew leaf. He was still his brother. Sirius is my favorite character, but I don't like this side of him. Everyone has their flaws. RIP Regulus. You were a good man.
@@abdirahmanidris290 yes he was but if only he’d tried to contact him or keep in touch with him he could save his brother but we’ll never know how it all really was
I always thought Sirius cruel with how he viewed his brother when in truth he distanced himself from his family and was so jaded and only saw the world in black and white he was petulant and insolent til the end. And his brother was naive and misguided having to be perfect to counter his brother’s rebellion similar to Narcissa in response to Andromeda
He didn’t know. No one knew. So Sirius of view of him made sense, if Sirius knew he would probably have been much kinder and Respectful but he didn’t know no one did
I mean sirius was also a teen in the end who was brought in a war and most teens dont think hard enough to realise that maybe his brother was just a scared child who didn’t know his idol were wrong ppl and he also spent his 20s (where we learn the most) in azkaban and honestly imagine if you were first confined in jail and then u escape it only to be confined in other , and he honestly carried lot of guilt because he suggested the idea of changing the secret keeper and thought harry was orphan because of him so thats why he went to department of mysteries head on to protect his godson , and he honestly guided harry pretty well till he was with him so in my opinion
What if Regulus Black is an animagi, and his animal form is Crookshanks. There is a lot of evidence, he appears in the third book so what abruptly. It is said that he communicates with Sirius but It is never stated that the human pretending to be an animal can talk to an animal. All though animagi can talk to their own species. Regulus is even a star in the Leo constellation, and Leo is a cat, just as Sirius is a star in the dog constellation. The relationship that regulus has with Scabbers could be thought of as a normal cat and rat, but maybe he can tell it's his brothers old friend that turned on the marauders. Regulus may have gone into hiding and faked his own death to escape Voldemort's control and later be able to come back at the exact time to be able to fight him. It is also said that there are deep scratch marks underneath Regulus's name plate on his door, that's kind of a weird detail to add. Also Crookshanks jumps on Sirius's chest just as Harry is going to kill him. Just a theory. I know he is half kneazle but maybe since he is just half he could still be an animagi. There are a lot of strange things that don't seem to add up to why they would happen or be there.
I actually believe that Crookshanks is the old cat of the Potters. The one that Baby Harry, according to Lilly’s letter to Sirius, almost killed flying his toy broom. Crookshanks is said to have been in the magical menage “for a very long time” (12 years maybe?) It is why he recognises Sirius, as he must’ve seen him shift countless times. Also Kneazles are super smart so he must’ve realised that Peter betrayed his family and also knowing Peter is also an animagus he instantly realised who he was which is why he was after Scabbers from the day they met (met again).
Good gracious, these 2 theories of crookshanks being regulus or the cat the potters originally owned just blew me off !! Woah, great work fellow potterHeads!!!
Thank you soooo much for this amazing video that finally does justice to Regulus. He will always and forever stay my favourite character in the series and I'm so sad the movies just skipped over his story and only mentioned him once... People often forget what Regulus did for the wizarding world by sacrificing himself for the dark lord to die. In the end it didn't really help as there were 7 horcruxes to get rid of, but nevertheless, Regulus's intentions are what makes him amazing and my favourite character of the series.
He's a bit of a mixture between Snape and Draco. I think this is Rowling's way of showing what might Draco would be if he ever got the guts to go against the dark lord even before the final battle at hogwarts
J.K Rowling actually has compared Draco to Dudley and Regulus before. All were boys brought up by prejudiced parents, only to realize their own world view was different then the people who raised them.
Regulus will always be a better man to me than Snape was, while Snape died for a better world, he bullied students for no reason (Neville, Hermione), he only really had one redeeming trait, and that’s something everyone has. I think his love for Lily was more of an obsession, if he truly loved Lily, he would be just devastated by Lily’s death and go to her grave to mourn her and summon a flower wreath. Meanwhile, Regulus died to outsmart Voldemort, he wanted to show Voldemort that guarding stuff for selfishness is wrong, it may just be me, but Regulus deserves to be named after, and it would Sirius and Regulus brothers again.
Although John Potter killed his parents and himself while his brother James was over 20 to protect him from revealing the location of the his brother. I mean that's what happened normally people that are 21 have alive parents and that's why Harry's grandparents couldn't stick around for him.
The Black family is so dramatic i love it. I mean, Regulus “yes! It was I who discovered your secret” Black and his brother Sirius “laughs after 13 muggles are killed” Black. Then meet Narcissa “My life is a whole drama show” Malfoy and Bellatrix “every single scene I was in” Lestrange.
Almost moved me to tears. Regulus Black, the unsung Slytherin hero who not only protected his family but also his elf, with cunning and secrecy. Really makes you understand that sometimes the viewpoint of narrative (mostly Gryffindor) glosses over the good in their rivalry with Slytherin
@@jenniferpruitt6534 A sad truth is, Regulus was likely turned into one of the Inferi that attacked Harry and Dumbledore in HBP, so unless they killed him before they left like the inumerous Inferi killed by Dumbledore's fire spell, Regulus is still most likely a inferi
No, he was the hero people try to make Snape out to be. Not saying Snape didn't do something good, but the man was far from the hero he's often made out to be.
Snape is complicated. It's hard to be on the "good" side when those deemed good treated you like crap and stole "your" girl. I think those who talk about bullying have to keep in mind that Snape's supposed loyalty to Slytherin and Voldy woulda been questioned if he didn't treat Granger, Longbottom and Harry Potter (most of all) like crap. It was easy for him to channel the residual resentments he had as a student. He sublimated them brilliantly and lived a lonely life as a result. His "cover" was credible but I think it is forgotten that it was a cover for him and he sold it so well it didn't seem like cover at all.
1. Regardless of what others do to you, you have a choice about how to respond. 2. Who stole "his" girl? Really, who? Because it sure wasn't James; the two of them fell in love and, regardless of who it was, the idea that anyone "stole" "his" girl implies that Lily was something that could be stolen. That she was "something" and not "someone" who was fully capable of making her own decisions, which she did, and she chose James, who grew up while Snape remained the same and bullied students so badly he was outright abusive and one of the students had him as his worst nightmare. Further, the concept of "stole 'your' girl'" also implies that Lily belonged to Snape, that Snape owned Lily, instead of Lily being her own person, which she was. Snape didn't own her, and neither did James. So, I assume you mean that James is the one who "stole" Lily, despite how illogical that is. Lily wasn't stolen, nobody owned her, and she chose someone else. I've noticed that's difficult for some people to accept, at least in part (I imagine), due to Alan Rickman's performance. Not saying Snape never did anything good, just that he wasn't the hero that some people make him out to be.

I was so mad that they took out Kreacher's tale from the movies. It truly is a great chapter and we get to see how Harry and Ron realise that Hermione was right all along about the importance of elf rights...
Seriously. Harry watching Kreacher sob his little heart out and hearing Dumbledore echoing "I don't think Sirius ever considered him to be a creature with as acute emotions as humans" was such a powerful moment and they could've easily done something cinematic with it
I've only watched like half a dozen of your videos but you explain things so well and bring to light things most of us probably have never even heard of or thought of. It makes me realize how dark and complex the wizarding world really is/was. Thanks for taking the time out of your days to make such incredible videos. I found your channel after watching the newest Fantastic Beasts 2 trailer.
Reg's story is heart-breaking and at the same time inspiring. He was incredibly selfless. Now there are two things that I've been thinking about: 1. He was close to Voldemort. Sirius thought different, but notice when Regulus left the note for Voldemort he signed it with "RAB" instead of his full name. Given the fact that he wanted Voldemort to know who the note was from, he must have been sure that he knew his name. Voldemort has dozens of Death Eaters, he couldn't possibly know all the names. But he knew Regulus' name. I know this might be common knowledge already but I had to get that out of my mind. 2. Regulus wanted Voldemort to know who found his Horcrux. It was basically his dying wish, right? But he didn't find out because Harry and Dumbledore found the fake locket first. So Voldemort naturally thought Harry stole that Horcrux. He never knew it was really Regulus. That makes me really sad. I also wish Sirius had known...
@@midnightgamingxxx nah. Dumbeldore didn't want harry to die but he thought it might be the only way until Goblet of Fire where he realised voldemort used harrys blood
What this video series brilliantly does is condense storylines and character arcs that are scattered through thousands of pages and several books. It makes you appreciate each individual storyline and subplot more, now that you can see it in full clarity.
I remember the first time reading the books and finding out who RAB was. Wow! What a revelation. I love to imagine him and Sirius meeting up again in the otherworld and discovering that they'd actually died for the same cause.
Regulus is so under appreciated! This channel is amazing. I get quite a lot of background information for my fanfics. And I always have to have a lot of background information before I start writing a fanfic. It's really helpful, thank you!

Terrific video! Kreacher has always been among my top favorite characters and I always get disgusted looks when I reveal that but it’s because the movies influenced people’s memory too much and they forgot about his deeds and his glory in the end which more than make up for his previous faults if you ask me. Also, the way Kreacher was before he was loyal to Harry was only cuz he was raised racist and subjected to terrible mistreatment followed by being trapped in a creepy house with only a psycho pic of sirius’ mom for years. Once he was enlightened to another way of thinking and normal treatment he changed sides. He was only “evil” cuz he was ignorant at the time.
Exactly! The "Fight! Fight for Harry Potter! Fight for master Regulus!" and the house elves stabbing the Death Eaters in the shins is one of the best moments in the books. Followed by Trelawney throwing crystal balls at the Death Eaters. I've read the books a couple of times but these two moments always make me cry and laugh at the same time. It's such a great ending to great storylines.
What Regulas did took an incredible amount of gall. It’s one thing for a young parent to die for their child. It is completely different thing for someone to die willingly, and knowingly, for the greater good with no guarantee that their sacrifice will not be in vain.
I always feel for Regulus, while Sirius had friends who helped him understand not everything was like his parents raised him to believe, Regulus had to discover all of that by himself.

That's sad
Well they will find out and make up when they meet in heaven as they are both dead now and neither chose to be a ghost.
@Curtis Ball it took me 8 hours to read your comment
It is so sad that Sirius died before knowing what a true hero his brother Regulus was 😭
So whatever happened to their parents? Did they both die in the first wizarding war?
Orion, their father died in 1979, the same year Regulus died. And Walburga died in 1985 I think, 4 years after Sirius was imprisoned in Azkaban.
How did you know that?
aurora you mean Onion and Wall burger
So true
Their parents are pure-blood so they wouldn't have died in the war. They probably died of old age as neither would've participated.
It's funny, isn't it? The ones who tried hardest to bring Voldemort down were his followers and admirers: Regulus Black and Snape (and Narcisa Malfoy).

Albus Tran true!
How can you write such big comment!!
I cried reading that part.
After i read the books, i become so mad with the movie because they drop this story part it was such important and really interesting story idk why they drop it, this is just as bad as how they cut the Voldemort past and the battle of the astronomy tower in hbp.
Kreatures final line is just so wholesome like literally
"Fight...fight... Fight for my master" is so wholesome and shows how loyal kreature is to regulus
And the
"Defender of house-elves!" Shows that kreature also cares about his fellow house elves a lot"
And finally
"Fight the dark lord, in the name of brave regulus" shows how much kreature cares, obeys, and overall extremely kind and is still keeping regulus'es arc continuing
Regulus was always one of my favourite characters, yet he got so little recognition. Thank you for making this
Eren Rush you're welcome.
well probably because he's already dead in the movies
how is he your fav little was said about him till now??
You'd be surprised how little a fan fic author can work with. My idea of Regi is very fandom created, but I love the way the fandom paints him. Goes to show how much a fandom can influence a character sometimes :3
its works like mini moves
Such a short but sweet character. Sad how every thought of him a coward.
Supermovies right
Like Snape, the truth of his sacrifice would eventually get out.
One of the many things that makes him such a hero. He remained hidden, even through death to protect his family.
Supermovies
Regulus's story reminds me a little of Snape. Both started doing wrong, with going with Voldemort. But in the end, by knowing things of or from someone they cared about (Lily and Kreacher) they started to redeem themself and ended up dying for the safety of the wizarding world. Both so grey and amazing characters in Harry Potter. Their last deed was of heroes, even if their life before was not (bullying and such).
Love this you do with HP characters. Keep on going. ^_^
And also, almost no one knew of their bravery and sacrifices until it was too late.
thanks you made my day
@YoungFavorite So true about that.

@@adrinapx(a fellow Jegulus shipper!) but think of it, if Sirius had left then the responsibility of being the heir to the family would fall onto Regulus.
An interesting observation!
J.k. Rowling has said that just because you are the bravest doesn't mean you are the smartest.
And add to the fact that traits of Slytherins are cunning and resourceful.
Too bad in Rowling's world, "The Starks"(Gryffindors) carry the Lannister colors. XD
One I believed has left me forever he will be killed of course.
Oh he knew. Why would he show weakness? He Voldemort can feel when the horcruxes are destroyed

So he just went with people's expectations that were forced on him. But , ultimately he came out of his own shell. He's one great hero.

Two brave people Sirius told Harry were bad!!
Cece May Sirius only knew them when he was younger remember he ran away from home
Snape wasn't essentially a good person. And Sirius didn't tell Harry Regulus was bad.
Cece May Don't let this make you forget that Snape is still a bad person.
BUT he didn't know what else they had done, so was only speaking from his perspective.
He gave his life trying to protect his family, even though he thought he was doing the right thing following the dark lord, but changed his mind and like his brother, died trying to do the right thing.
Suprises me everytime how Sirius and regulus were such noble and brilliant men, considering their heritage and upbringing. True unsung heroes.

Regulus did not "call" Kreacher back... He had given Kreacher orders to do the Dark Lord's bidding, and then return home. Kreacher had to follow the orders he was given.
Same thing!!
Regulus was as tragic, probably more so, than Snape himself.

The two noble brothers had heart thats all.

Actually, Crookshanks is part kneazle, Rowling said so. Kneazles are very intelligent creatures, I recommend reading more about them :-)

I definitely prefer Regulus' story over Snape's
Snape is an anti hero because bullying is a minor crime.

Aakash Pandey yup

Now there are two things that I've been thinking about:
I was seriously speechless and shocked by how Regulus Black died as retold by sobbing Kreacher. Regulus and Serius are equals in their bravery.
Wow another video in short time. Thank you for making another harry potter video. I love all your videos and your amazing voice..
Love these videos so much.

Unpopular opinion: Harry should have named his son after Regulus and Cedric instead of Snape and Dumbledore.
(Regulus Cedric Potter.)
Mabye Snape but not dumbeldore
@@abdirahmanidris290 yeah. dumbledore just wanted harry to die.
@@midnightgamingxxx nah. Dumbeldore didn't want harry to die but he thought it might be the only way until Goblet of Fire where he realised voldemort used harrys blood
@@abdirahmanidris290 still, dumbledore lied to and manipulated many people
@@midnightgamingxxx He manipulated but he didn't really lie. He just witheld information. All for a good cause
Regulus should have been in the flims because I feel like his character deserves it but at least he played a big part of the books
What this video series brilliantly does is condense storylines and character arcs that are scattered through thousands of pages and several books. It makes you appreciate each individual storyline and subplot more, now that you can see it in full clarity.
Awww is amazing how house elves are really loyal servants. You can totally tell he loved his master.
Wow, who knew that Regulus Black would be more interesting if Morgan Ross told it.
This arc story would be so rich in prequel movies for Harry Potter, like there à te so many things to said
One of the many reasons I love this series so much! It's full of beautifully tragic characters like Regulus.
Another masterpiece! I wish they gave Regulus more credit in the movies. Thank you for this!
I remember the first time reading the books and finding out who RAB was. Wow! What a revelation. I love to imagine him and Sirius meeting up again in the otherworld and discovering that they'd actually died for the same cause.
After watching this it’s really hard to decide whether my favourite character is really snape or in fact regulus. Pretty noble acts he done there.
Regulus is so under appreciated! This channel is amazing. I get quite a lot of background information for my fanfics. And I always have to have a lot of background information before I start writing a fanfic. It's really helpful, thank you!
I love how you made regulus’s mother’s eyes blink.
Thank you! Due to your videos I have started reading the books for the first time!
Wow i was afraid to tell this to the world.. 😂😂😂 same here bro same here.. 😍😍😍😍😍😍 now i realize why on the earth everybody loves books more than movie.. 😍😍😍😍♥⚡ now i can say myself pure blood potterhead⚡♥😭😭😭♥♥♥♥✨
I recommend to you all to listen to the audiobooks by stephen fry. They‘re really really good and let you experience the books on a whole other level
No! I know that audiobooks are good, isn't good for the first reading though. So keep reading and become one of us!
yeeees i love that he is inspiring people to read the books! i dont want anyone to miss out on the awesomeness
Thanks for making this video about Regulus Black. I think he was rather similar to Severus Snape in his double agency; only didn't have a Dumbledore.
This is the only channel I turned on the notifications for.
By far one of the most interesting bios he def deserved a flashback in the movie
I really wish Sirius discovered all this about his little brother before he died
Im amazed and impressed with you Morgan. Keep up these brilliant videos
Do Dolores Umbridge I really want to know why is she so miserable?
Rafael Castellanos now, I hate that bitch as much as the next person but this comment peaked my interest. Now I want to know
Wearing the locket probably made her that way
@@Apryll. Actually, the bad things of the locket didn't affect her, it even made her stronger
@@Apryll. nope...she can even condure a patronus because she simply find happiness in doing evil
They actually did Dolores, They explain a lot, you should watch it
Thank you so much for making these videos! Makes me want to re read all the series again!!!
What Regulas did took an incredible amount of gall. It’s one thing for a young parent to die for their child. It is completely different thing for someone to die willingly, and knowingly, for the greater good with no guarantee that their sacrifice will not be in vain.
