I can’t imagine Voldemort having a child with someone, like the only thing he cares about was killing Harry and being immortal. Nagini is the only one who was really closed to him, he never cared for anyone.
See I feel like Bellatrix would have had a savage protective nature over Delphi, SHES HER DAUGHTER AND LITERALLY THE DAUGHTER OF THE PERSON SHE WAS OBSESSED WITH.
My least favourite thing about the cursed child is how they ruined time turners. Before it was shown to be a loop. The time travel would lead into what happened not change what happened. Then the cursed child comes along and said “what if it was just back to the future?” Such an interesting (and my personal favourite) take on time travel ruined.
Actually no the very act of using a time turner changes the timeline,it just the fact that the events played in a way that it would basically change little to nothing
@@superoakwood5513 Events did change drastically though, because they managed to kill Harry and ensure Voldemort's reign (which brings the question of why Voldemort didn't send Arnold Schwarzenegger back in time to kill John Conner and protect his dystopian timeline).
What are you talking about? They actively change buckbeaks fate. He got chopped in original, but they used the time turner, to get him away from his execution grounds.
I feel like this character was wasted. Voldemorts daughter as a character had a lot of potential as a character. Imagine voldemorts daughter trying to fit in with the wizarding world trying to escape her parents shadow. That sounds like a great storyline
Could have been better if Delphi wasn't actually V's daughter, but just thought she was. You could imply Bellatrix deluded herself into thinking this as well, or perhaps did some weird Dark magic shit in order to validate this delusion. Alternatively, Delphi could just be lonely and ostracized (pretty likely I think) and become obsessed with the idea that her mother, being by most accounts the most loyal and trusted Death Eater, had her with Voldemort. It wouldn't be perfect but better than this, not to mention it would give you another twist to throw in, as everyone would initially believe her version of the story.
if you wanna go that road the let bellatrix kdinap a young kid alter her mind so she doensnt know annything annymore make a spell or potion that perminantly changes her appearence to what bellatrix likes and have her adopt the kid, that would fit what bellatrix would do. i dont realy see voldemort making a baby.
This would really be more plausible. The Lestranges had Delphi , then told her " You're the Dark Lord's Heir !!" Bellatrix is insane enough to do that . If Voldemort wanted to have a baby , he could have easily done so when he was twenty something, working in B&B . He had the looks to lure in whichever pure blood obsessed young woman he deemed good enough for the job , he would have more capability to actually do that unlike in his 80s , he could even plant the kid in Hogwarts unknown to everyone else and use the kid however he wanted. He wouldn't have waited till he became old , snakelike and much more busy if he really wanted that damn kid . The plotline makes zero sense .
That literally could be the truth- it isn’t proven or debunked in the play! She just ends up locked up so who knows 😂 and I really like/accept your theory!
Before reading it I honestly thought maybe Belle in her obsession with Voldy used a time turner herself and went back and seduced a much younger Tom Riddle during his Hogwarts days when it might have made more sense that he would become enamored with a “groupie” type. I think that would’ve made much more sense than “hey stop the warring I need to bust a nut in my biggest fan” idea
What I don’t understand is Cedric would never do something like that his personality in the books is so amazing and he would never in 1 million years do something like that like for god sake‘s he’s a Hufflepuff like what the actual ✨fawk✨
@@annab837 theres probably no logical explanation because it’s literally just a fanfic that jk rowling picked up eventho it goes against most the rules she made for her universe
Mrs. Rowle absolutely HATED my natural hair color and I was misbehaving because I was lonely so cursed my hair so even when it grew, my hair would be a silver white color. When I cut my hair because I didn't like the blue, the tips of it immediately became blue.
@@shaziakhaled Nah Never liked Delphi anyways Even with the hair dye thing She's still very much a Mary Sue Or more accurately a Anti Sue Never liked her anyways though because of that The logic behind her in general is just dumb She isn't supposed to even exist according to the actual universe's rules I can't imagine Voldemort of all things, having enough of a compacity to hanky panky around To me in the canon universe, he'd more than likely see that type of behaviour as beneath him Especially considering he dropped almost all traces of humanity to become one of the most powerful wizards in the world
My biggest issue with the Cursed Child was that it retconned how time travel works in the HP universe. Rowlings treatment of time travel was genius, it didn't create paradoxes and no alternate time-lines. You couldn't change the future, you simply caused the past that had already happend and you were always the reason the past was what it was. It was clean and logically consistent. This play threw all of that out the window for a much more inferior interpretation.
This is what happens after the author got famous & lazy, too lazy to write more stories and decided to have others write extended stories revolving around Harry Potter theme. The end result is a story that is so OUT-OF-YOUR-MIND.... I kinda wish that they mentioned Delphi was a long lost child of Voldemort's from a long time ago when he was still handsome Tom Riddle; it would have been very believable that his female followers would be happy to carry his child in those early days.
Super valid criticism- but I personally believe/hope this was JKR testing the waters of working with other writers and licensing an expanded universe like how George Lucas did with all the Star Wars books that came out by other writers back in the day- as well as her throwing her hat in the ring and supporting live theater. This was just the first deal she negotiated that she clicked creatively with other writers and it was exceptional because it was on the premise that it was to be a script for a play- and now it’s touring internationally- so whether people like it or not, it’s doing it’s part for theater and supporting all the people who make up the industry just like her original series encouraged the world to read. So I’m very hopeful there will be more down the line. And to be fair- the whole plot touched on soooo many of the common plot points and tropes in fan fiction. With the multiverse/alternate universes in the play, I don’t see why there wouldn’t be the potential for all kinds of different stories in the Pottermore universes. She literally owns her own publishing company- so her expanding and uplifting new writers in her world (maybe even literally just using her lore but not related to her characters at all) it could encourage more and more people to write professionally. Clearly it already has with all the fan fictions out there. And of course Hogwarts Legacy is a thing for gamers too so I think it tracks.
@@simon_lukas Paradoxes don't arise simply by interacting with yourself. Paradoxes happends when you intoduce NEW information while time traveling. Harry saving himself is part of a self-contained loop.
@@peronkop Harry couldn't get back in time to save hinself if he didn't go back in time in the first place. In my understanding that's a paradoxon. What do you mean by "new information"?
Exactly. Neither Bella nor Voldemort have white hair. Her hair would be black or with a far stretch mouse or Blonde (Voldemorts mum or the blond gene in the blacks)
My mom is Harry's age. So I used that and math to figure out when Albus did what he stupidly did. According to my calculations this all happened in 2019. This means that 2020 is the aftermath of the time travel. Butterfly effect though. So yeah, a reason for 2020's madness.
Harry is born in 1980,started Hogwarts in 1991 and ended it in 1998.So 29 years later will mean that Albus goes to Hogwarts in 2017 and I, who unfortunately read the cursed child, know that all this time traveling thing goes on during albus' fourth year which is in 2020
Ooof I get the joke I’m just saying that she was in love with him even though she had a husband he couldn’t love because he was born under a love potion
Remember in the third book, where Hufflepuff won against Gryffindor and the captian of the Team, Cedric, wanted a rematch, because Harry fell off the broom due to the Dementors? Or in the forth book in the last task, in the maze, when he and Harry stood near the trophy and he proposed that Harry should take the trophy because Harry helped him in the first task? He was a true Hufflepuff, how can they destroy his character??? I am so mad!
One of my friends got me "Harry Potter and The Cursed Child" when I was a kid. I was really confused because it was written as a play rather than as a real book. But I did read it, and it was very much like one of those very bad, way too confusing and over-the-top fanfics I still regret reading. But I also read it before I read "The Half-blood Prince". Bad move? Yes.
Its not crazy impossable the Emperor Palpatine in Star Wars was just as cruel, and selfish. He had a harem. As ugly as he was women adored his "charm". Its the ulitmate cruelty to be with someone you feel you love. To just be a toy for their amusement. All the other death eaters feared him too much to be with Voldemort. Pleasure dosnt have to be a thing. Belatrix loves him. Voldemort is cruel. He could have easily taken advantage of Belatrix. Having or not having children isnt selfish eith. Besides Voldemort does make mistakes he is human after all. Voldemort would want a prodigy at some point. No other bloodline would be good enough. Voldemort wouldn't be above controling his child either. Just another loyal follower.
@@averrial1394 they don't mean that Voldy can't have any woman, they mean that the timeline doesn't make any sense. and most people who've read the books had assumed Voldy was Asexual
@@averrial1394 Voldemort is incapable of love. Why would he reproduce? As far as he's concerned he's immortal. JK really has shot this franchise in the foot
Also Hermione hid the Time-Turner in a very dumb way When Albus, Scorpius, and Delphi break into the Ministry to steal the Time-Turner, they end up in Hermione, the Minister for Magic’s, office. Scorpius takes a book off a shelf, opens it, and discovers it gives him a riddle
They probably built more and also she had powers around the same level of Voldemort so it’s safe to say she can go back farther than 5 hours also there’s still a part 2 coming and maybe that will explain it
Actually Draco Malfoy had a time Turner which could go back further . So with the help of it Ron , Hermione, Harry , Ginny and Draco went back to save their sons.
It would have been interesting to hear about Voldys motivation to have a child. It could be that on his way to immortality (and a new nose) he wanted a boy and use the baby to get a new body for himself. It would have broken Delphi to know her father didn't want her at all. She would have been just a tool to him and it might have brought her back to the good side or start her redemtion arc.
Well Voldemort, as a child, entering hogwarts was obsessed with finding out if his family were pure bloods and wanted to know if his father was written down in the registry for hogwarts He made an orphan child to carry on his legacy and seek him out eventually bringing him back or killing off hary It’s pretty self evident that she just did exactly what he did as a child when seeking out his father The difference being her father(Voldemort) actually was an extremely powerful and successful wizard so she continued to seek him out Where as Voldemort found out who his father was and realized he was just a muggle But Voldemort knew that his offspring, if she was as smart and magically inclined, would seek him out as well or she would eventually have children or grandchildren who would Why be so evil just to have it stop when you eventually die or go to prison forever? Continue the bloodline
@Allen Cabrera That's because we never SAW Nymphadora while she was pregnant...we DID see Bellatrix when she would have supposedly been pregnant when the trio was captured and taken to Malfoy Manor, and yet, no preggo Bella.
Honestly I would’ve preferred that, imagine Voldemort’s kid being genuinely nice and caring. Imagine being ashamed at how much pain both her parents caused and deciding she wanted to be better than that. Imagine her getting into a lot of trouble at Hogwarts for lashing out at students who said she was evil, purely because of her parents, and being sent to the headmaster’s office. Imagine Dumbledore’s painting just smiling down at her and telling her it’s her choices that matter, not who her family was. While I don’t see Voldemort willing to have a kid, especially with bellatrix, if we have to have one I feel that would be a better story than what we got with the cursed child.
@@kayundae4411 A better story than the Cursed Child . We would want a book on people that does not include Harry, like the books on Draco's or Ginny's point of view
@@kayundae4411 this comment alone is a better story than cursed child. You know what? This is my headcanon now. yup I'll accept that voldemort and bellatrix had a daughter. But that daughter became a nice witch and perhaps even taught by harry himself who would tell her it's her choices that matter not her parentage.
JonnyBoyMach2 that would make more sense Voldemort was only heartless because he was conceived while his father was under a love potion and Bellatrix I think just slowly went crazy so their child would probably have some serious mommy daddy issues but not inherently evil and crazy
It would've been interesting to see what would've happened if they met, personally I think he'd just pretend to believe her story and then kill her for wasting his time. Voldemort was always self-confident to a fault and I really think he'd assume she's some wannabe sycophant trying to curry favor with the Dark Lord. In no reality would Voldemort hear he was bested by some halfblood spell cast on a baby being his downfall, if anything the second she mentioned horrcruxs would be the second he'd decide to kill her.
im sorry but narcissa would have raised her, isnt it literally a rule for orphaned children to be sent to live with blood relatives in the wizarding world?

Delphi sounds like an OC from a fan fiction. 'This is my OC, Delphi! She is Voldemort's daughter, and is super powerful! She can do everything Voldemort could, and is super edgy!'
I'm sure there's better FAN-WRITTEN FICTION than 'The Cursed Child'. You can literally compare the book to fanfiction about the actual Canon. TF is J.K Rowling doing?
@@alexandroskovner6359 She gave her stamp of approval to two guys writing a theater play and is probably quite happy counting the incoming dough without caring much what it does to the franchise. In the end, there will be enough fans who simply take what they can get... sad but true. Although I expected more integrity from her.
Well, if you think of it, Delphi could actually make a great fanfiction possibility. Remove all her Mary-Sue characteristics aside... 1. have her be Voldemort's and Bella's daughter, OK, tolerable 2. Please, please give her dark hair. 3. Don't start the story w/t her being 18 or so, let her be an early teen or so, make her be in a... let's say a very decent orphanage(let's just assume the death eater family decided to dump her, and left a letter explaining that her name is Delphi and her parents died in The Battle of Hogwarts and that's it). 4.Rodolphus somehow found her, when she was out of the orphanage, and explain her origins. 5. And, that's the most important bit, She👏Doesn't👏Want👏To Be👏Like👏Her Father👏! She is terrified that her father is Voldemort, she finds the things he and her mother did disgusting and horrible(Bella was awful too) 6. Her birthday is in April or earlier, let's just say Bella had an early delivery(and she was conceived earlier too) 7. And, remember, this is fanfiction, this could never actually work out on the plot, J.K.R. would never make anything Voldemort-related good, that's nonsense🤣
I mean it’s not even really a book, it’s a script for a play, kind of like Romeo and Juliet. And yeah, I wanted to like Albus but the only thing he had going for him is that his best friend is a Malfoy XD.
Call me crazy but I just can't see voldemort having sex. Im not putting it past Bellatrix to do it since she's just that loyal to him. But I just can't picture it. like sex just seems so beneath voldemort and I don't see him wanting an air when he wanted to rule all by himself forever. picturing voldemort and Bellatrix having sex is honestly just gross lol.
The way that I know this story couldn't have happened is because time turners can't be used to go back more than hours and days. It's stated multiple times that going back too far is dangerous. I remember a story about a wizard accidentally going back too far. When they came back, time rebounded, and they aged hundreds of years in an instant and died.
I mean his whole thing WAS to be immortal but look how that turned out. He probably sensed there was a possibility of him being defeated and wanted a failsafe in his offspring
swiftmarshtomp I think even Voldemort knows better than to make another wizard a Horcrux. He knows it’s too risky to have something that could be put in danger so often to possess some of his soul
Fun fact: Voldemort was inspired by his daughter’s name in Albania, as when he escaped during his downfall and was barely alive, since Delphini, also “delfin” in albanian, is the word for dolphin, one of the most intelligent creatures on earth. Albanians VERY rarely saw dolphins and they were amased by those creatures, shouting their names out loud, whenever they would see one.
@@FerretJohn I'm pretty sure she didn't help write it. She just approved it as canon. But it is as much fanfic as 50 shades which started as twilight fan fiction. I think people should think whatever they want but at least that was it's own universe and didn't brutalize an already existing story.

holdddd up. You’re telling me. Cedric was humiliated for not winning the tournament so decided to become a death eater. Yet he was so kind and loyal in the original series Yeah. Nah... Harry Potter ended at Deathly Hallows
Everybody here's mentioning Cedric's character was destroyed, or calling BS about Delphini and all, but here's where I draw the line about TCC: Harry using the Ministry's power to order around and threaten Professor McGonagall he once respected like a mother. I'm sorry, that's not Harry at all.
Plus, this was the same guy who told Albus being in Slytherin wouldn’t be an issue. Hell, Albus’ middle name CAME from a Slytherin! And suddenly Harry’s bitter and butt-hurt because he’s not in Gryffindor? Nah. No way. Harry didn’t spend seven books and eight movies FIGHTING with bullies, abusers, and bigots just to become one himself.
not to mention that he made albus stay away from scorpius! poor scorpius was so sad and thought he had done something wrong. and scorpius was albus’s only friend.
When exactly did Voldemort, a noseless magic-world Hitler who was hell-bent on killing Potter, which he already failed twice, managed to find the time to bone Bellatrix?
Never went to school or any form of education = self-taught to be stronger than fucking Voldemort..... I think J.K.Rowling was drunk when she wrote this one.

E Pi JKR herself said that Hufflepuff is the only house that never had a dark wizard or witch. None of the death eaters were Hufflepuff. So it’s just not possible.
Voldemort having a daughter was one of the dumbest things ever. I always believed Voldemort to be "above" carnal pleasures. His quest for eternal life meant that he wouldn't even need heirs. Voldemort wouldn't do anything if it didn't serve a purpose and I believe he would have no reason to copulate.
Voldemort: »Narzissa, I need your manor.« Narzissa: »As our stronghold for the war, right?« Voldemort: 😏 Narzissa: »As our stronghold for the war, right?«
The issue i see with her existence is, Voldemort would never allow a child to be born. In monarchies the greatest threat to a kings power is their children rising. Kings take this threat because they cannot live for ever and need succession. Voldemort had no intentions of dying and would have no desire for a succession line.
I think this could be accepted as conon if it made some edit changes to the story. One example would be for vold to create his daughter by using magic other then quote normal process.
This isn’t canon, you can’t just go back and make up random events that make no sense in the original story. There was no time for Bellatrix to be pregnant and give birth and then go fight in a war.
Why on Earth would Voldemort make Bellatrix pregnant after she already failed him at the end of The Order of the Pheonix? If he would, he probably would have done so magically and immediately after her escape from Azkaban. But it's very unlikely that he would have done out of love for Bellatrix, because he didn't have any real friends, let alone love anyone. He would have done it magically, only by using Bellatrix as a tool. And if Delphi was born, how could she while Bellatrix was on the road the whole time until the Battle of Hogwarts happened. The story of The Cursed Child is broken from start to finish. Rowling may consider it canon, but she didn't write the story herself. She probably should have, but for a real book, not for a play.
i think that he wanted his legacy to carry on if something did happen at the battle of hogwarts and he probably would do it magically and for his own sake not because of bellatrix he probably only used her for her loyalty to him and because she was the best option ig

I am pretty sure that Cedric, even if he lost the tournament in the 'actual canon', would never have agreed on becoming a Death eater. Seems like a next level humiliation, and besides, he was a Puff! A Death eater can be in any house but Hufflepuff! My opinion :)
But hufflepuffs are loyal, so maybe Cedric was loyal to Voldemort cause he promised to do somthing Cedric wants since Voldemort is good at persuading people like it says in the vid
I also think it doesn't fit Cedric's personality to become a Death Eater because of ... humiliation?! He was never described as prideful, more like a true Hufflepuff, who is fair and humble and kind... seems a bit of a stretch to me that this kind of "humiliation" would make him so bitter that he fights for the dark side, like what? But, yes, technically Hufflepuffs can become Death Eaters, it's just the house that has turned out the least amount of dark wizards and witches.

I swear, before the last book came out there was a great fanfic I read that was the writer's version of the last book. And it starred voldemort's and bellatrix's daughter, Delphi. She was cool and looked badass like this Delphi. What happened here? Did two people have the exact same idea? Did Rowling steal the concept of a random fanfic? This is crazy.
It's interesting how she keeps saying the future is yours to make when she's following the path that has been set down by the Oracle that told her future so she's really not making her own future she's following the blueprints that were put out for her
I think it makes sense if you veiw a child as a soul back up some other possible link to a world your be departing. Maybe if voldermort could break free of limbo and steal his childs soul to reclaim his own broken one and thus fusing a broken and whole soul. Make some sick forbidden abomination of immortality.
I feel like the Cursed Child destroyed several basis of the whole Harry Potter series. Like, *First* : Voldemort and Bellatrix. She was his most loyal sidekick, true, she loved him, but we all know how Voldy was so obsessed over getting immortality and killing HP that he just wouldn't care about anyone else, even her. Moreover, I don't think he planned on having an heir, since he wanted to be immortal. And turning the fanatical love of Bella into some lusty passion isn't like her (even less in the middle of the events going on during the Battle of Hogwarts😂...) I think it would have been better (and more interresting) if Delphi THOUGHT she was Voldy's child. Trying to find explanations of her physique, skills and loneliness in Voldemort's story. Or even if Bella tried to make her believe so. *Second* : Cedric Diggory is a Hufflepuf man, do you think he would turn out super-evil by just loosing a game ? Not that all Hufflepufs are sweetypies, but he helped Harry with the Golden Egg. I think he would just have congratulated the winner and get over it, not become a Death Eater. *Third* : the time traveler is really *really* the Swiss Knife in this story. In the books, we're told we can see what happened but can't or shouldn't change it. Here, it's used so frequently it feels like a "Game over, try again" plot. It makes it loose all his power. Plus, it is supposed to bring you back days earlier, not years or decades, for it's dangerous. *Fourth* : how did everyone ( Draco, Hermione, Ron, Ginny etc..) knew when to go back in time ? Like, two minutes earlier, Delphi was in 1990's, then in 1981. How did they get it right straight ?! 😅 Then, the fact Harry disguised himself as Voldemort in the church, probably by drinking Polynectar Juice. This potion must contain something from Voldy's body, hair, nails (yuk!), anything. But he was dead. Decades ago. He litterally vanished in ashes. And NO, I don't want to think about something disguting like going into his tomb to get their stuff 😂. Anyway, I think the Cursed Child had potential, but it was totally ruined by its incoherence (and I haven't even talked about Delphi's look....). And the fact that JK Rowling recognized it as a cannon broke my heart. PS: Sorry for the several mistakes, I'm French sooooo 😅 be kind with me
Well Bellatrix was like in love with him. But seriously even if it wasn't them for example Lily and James how bout that? I think most of us can't imagine it even with anyone
Natilynn Beggs i think because he was based on Hitler this makes sense. Hitler hated non-aryan people even though he didnt have those traits himself either
@@Sasha-cs1bj yeah he does, hes ashamed that he is a half blood and in the 4th movie he kills a muggle studies teacher and says "should she have her way, we should.... mate with them" or something like that then he kills her
What I don't get is that when they went back in time and managed to get Voldemort to win with Harry being killed, why didn't Albus cease to exist? Harry can't have kids if he's dead! Also, Cedric becoming a Death Eater? Cedric was one of the nicest people in the entire franchise. A little humiliation wouldn't make him suddenly support Voldemort. Especially with how his father raised him. It's ridiculous.
Also, how did Harry, ron, Hermione and all of them get back to present day if the time Turner was destroyed?! I hate how many gaps there are in this canon.
0:38 Voldemort: »Narzissa, I need your manor.« Narzissa: »As our stronghold for the war, right?« Voldemort: 😏 Narzissa: »As our stronghold for the war, right?«
Voldemort having a kid isn't outside of the realm of possibility, given his ability to charm people and bellatrix's complete devotion to him i'm not surprised she would push for a closer relationship and i am not surprised that he might just participate to help solidify her devotion to him and his cause. A child didnt necessarily have to be planned. Still the ending kind of sucks, as far as I can tell she had emotions which voldemort lacked because she wasnt born with a love potion right? Was a good opportunity to see her actually start to like the people she was manipulating and realise there was more to life than just controlling others. Then after seeing the changed timeline she could have broken out of her fascination with her father and gone on a journey of self discovery. Honestly just seems like a repeat of voldemorts story where he felt alone and then hunted his father down :/
I feel like Delphi’s story should have went with her existence being discovered and Harry becoming her mentor and experiencing a father and daughter relationship, only to learn the truth of her parent which pulls her to the dark with the help of a third party main antagonist, but the potters and their friends desperately pull her back to the light. . . . Or something along those lines
That wouldn't make sense at all!! Firstly, do you know what Harry did to her Father! Secondly someone like Delphini doesn't have love in their hearts! Thirdly, she'd rather kill Harry than have a bonding experience with him. I'm pretty sure that she's like the female version of Voldemort considering she gained her Father's abilities and her powers itself are pretty much just like his. Honestly saying I don't mind if she actually got what she wanted. It's just Fictional.
See, the fact that Delphi even exists makes the whole Cursed Child story seem like a fanfic, and a bad one at that. Why would Voldemort feel the need to have a child? Or have sex for any reason, even pleasure? A few points. 1) Voldemort hated being close with anyone, at all. This kind of closeness would have turned his stomach. 2) he was half-blood, and in his fanaticism he's the kind of person who would consider it his duty to not pass on his fathers blood line. Some might say, he might consider himself obligated to pass on 'the noble Salazar Slytherins' bloodline, but that brings me to my final point. 3) He thought himself immortal, why would he even need to have a child? Now considering both her parents died at he Battle of Hogwarts, Delphi would have had to have been born before that. At a time before Voldy knew anyone was tracking down the Horcruxes, and as far as he knew at that point, he wasn't gonna die. So why even need an heir? Her existence doesn't make a lick of sense to me.
Before reading this I just want to attach a warning for you that it went long... REALLY long. If you want to read an essay explaining why Voldemort may have wanted kids with Bellatrix based on both CC and OG canon, read on whenever you have time to kill. Hope this is useful in some way.🙂 That said... There's lots more reasons to have an heir than to actually have them replace you. Especially if Voldemort was (as I think he was) aiming to rebuild the bloodline of Salazar Slytherin. Voldemort had something of a "medieval" "fuedalist" mindset (heck, he named himself "Lord" Voldemort) and greatly admired and envied the pureblood noble houses of the wizarding world. To build his own (in the name of Slytherin no less), with a woman who is pureblood, noble, powerful and idealistic herself (not to mention loyal to a fault and likely to indoctrinate all her children) would've appealed to him. Delphini, and any other hypothetical heirs, wouldn't exist to replace him, they would exist to serve him as ultra loyal, born and raised, heavily indoctrinated, powerful, vassals. This is in fact exactly what Delphini is portrayed as in CC. An ultra-loyal vassal. While Voldemort rules as Emperor of the world (Bellatrix Empress?), Delphini is basically left as the Vassal Queen / Governess of Britain... his first conquest. For all we know he has more vassal children running France, Germany, and more all under their own monikers and all equally as loyal. He was basically aiming to create his own "Wizarding Royal Family" that would be the envy of all nobility and the inseparable rulers of the whole Empire. Having his own "heirs" in positions of power would drastically decrease the chance of any Coups or betrayals by allies or other Death Eaters who might have their own ambitions and think they could just assassinate him and take over (think "Umbridge, Malfoy or Greyback... people with their own ambitions and end games). This keeps his subordinates in line because it means if they could (and they don't know they couldn't... his horcruxes weren't common knowledge) kill him, they would still fail to take power as one of his "heirs" (Delphini most likely) would just inherit the Empire and then take revenge on whoever killed her dad... it ruins any chance of creating a power vacuum for yourself to fill. This gives Voldemort a bunch of things he would've wanted... a.) Status as the head of an ancient, noble, supposedly pureblood royal dynasty b.) A more extensive reach over all his conquests, as he can control them by proxy of his born and raised "heirs" as well as directly, extending his presence c.) Heightened and more permanently secure power over his conquests d.) Sows fear in would be traitors e.) Delivers on the legacy of Salazar Slytherin Bellatrix is of course the perfect candidate to be his "Empress" and raise his future enforcers in this case. She is as loyal as can be, fully committed to him over even her own family (and proves her willingness to kill them on his command... note his instance she "prune her family tree", makes sense if was planning on merging it with his own and wanted to keep is pure and "honorable"), and she would of course raise all her kids to worship and obey their father just as fanatically as she did... and dispose of them if she feared they were going to rebel and become a threat (which as we see with Snape... she is good at predicting). That's not to mention her own nobility, wealth, pureblood status, power as a witch, firm ideologies and beauty. She's the only individual Voldemort ever shows any affection to in the original series (calling her by a pet name, "Bella", stating how much it means to him "coming from you" that she is honored he is staying with her at Malfoy Manor, trusting her with a Horcrux, rescuing her from the Ministry atrium at his own expense in the closest thing to a selfless act he ever commits, and finally screaming out in pain at her death and then fixating on murdering Molly Weasley in revenge). If he was going to couple with anyone, it was going to be Bellatrix Lestrange (And we know he could understand and feel physical attraction to women... his horcruxes interactions with Ron prove this as the peice of his soul identifies traits both physical and personality wise in Hermione that it views as "attractive" and then uses them to mock Ron about his inferiority to her as a sexual option... interestingly what it defines as "attractive" largely describes Bellatrix, there is a LONG Quora post covering this topic). So yes, Voldemort was capable of "liking" and "lusting", and he never liked anyone more than Bellatrix as far as we are aware so it stands to reason... Especially since he did have ways to justify having offspring. Plenty of ways. This is a guy who wanted a Gringotts vault and badly simply because the pureblood nobles had them and he wanted to fit in... those people also had noble houses and ancient history... he was an heir of Slytherin... and he wanted to fit in🤣. If you've read all of this you have my respect for your time and dedication, and also my thanks. Hope this helps explain how/why Voldemort would've paired with Bellatrix and wanted children.
SkiddyGaming nope sorry, I agree with the OP. Voldemort never wanted a “family”. It was him and him alone that wanted the immortality and the glory of being too “strong” for death. He alone that was Slytherin’s one true heir. And it was his weakness that he thought he could never die. That weakness was his end. That was made CLEAR by the real books. And changing things otherwise weakens that story. There’s no way the “book that shall not be named” will ever ring true for that reason alone... not to even mention all of the other horrible character assassinations and destruction of the original story’s integrity.
@@xosummersangelox see that just it... as I said he didn't want a "family" for the sake of having a family or because he was concerned he was going to die... he never was as you said, he thought he was immortal. He wanted a "royal family" for the status it would bring, the political advantages it carried with it (no one man can rule the whole world alone... even Voldemort knew that, and he delegated power alot in the original series), the ability it provided to give him what would seem like a presence "everywhere at once" and of course, as we see in the Original series... to fit in with the purebloods... something he was very obsessed with. They all had noble and ancient families... he happened to have a very nobel and ancient heritage (Slytherin) he could use. It adds up. He didn't want Kids to replace him he wanted little vassals... extensions of himself to emphasize his own power. It's all very ego feeding. That's perfectly in keeping with his fuedal style too (medieval marriages seldom if ever involved love, they were solely for the purpose of politics, power, and creating born and raised loyal vassals... JK loves her history references and this is another of those). I don't think it damages his character at all whatsoever. It's incredibly interesting to me actually. We already know he wanted to rule the world... what possible way could be more ego feeding than to make yourself "Emperor" and give your own little spawn control over everything you don't have time to micromanage yourself... all under one all powerful "Slytherin" banner that everyone associates with you above all. Even when Voldemort isn't there... he is... by proxy😂. I don't think it did much at all to assassinate characters. Don't get me wrong there were things I didn't like about it (I hated the trolly witch turning into some sort of terminator for example), but it almost all makes sense to me now having just re-read the originals. Harry being a sub-par father for example... people hated that. But why is that? He never had a father figure (or a mother figure) growing up... aside from Vernon and Petunia Dursley. All he had to go off of for parenting tricks is the stuff he saw the Dursleys do... so of course he's going to struggle a bit as a dad, especially when his son is best friends with Draco Malfoys kid and he doesn't know how to handle that.😂 Most characters are exactly as they are in the originals (McGonagall for example) others are done justice as adults (Draco for example) and the rest either have changed a bit because of time (it's been decades), circumstances (fathering, for Harry), or writing style changes (this is the big one... the fact that it's written like a play hurts CC, and I think it would be far better off written in novel style). After having (since reading CC) re-read the original books and re-watched the original films I can accept CC as canon. Partially flawed canon sure, but canon at its core. (Almost) Everything has a good explanation and it is afterall based on JKs post-series vision, and I would feel quite wrong trying to tell JK what she can and cannot do with the future of her own universe and creation. I am but an observer. I can dislike things, I can try to make sense of things, I can love things, but I cannot change things. This is the nature of fans. Sometimes that fact pains me though... I'm a Star Wars fan and I detest The Last Jedi, if I could wipe that from canon... well, it's not up to me but you know...😂
His character was not even close to even have sex for the sake of pleasure. Besides, Bellatrix already had tried to have a relation with him, but still he didn't even consider it. Add that with the countless continuity mistakes, still my opinion above continues.
He didn't flirt with Bellatrix. Voldemort couldn't feel love. He only had a child with Bellatrix so that he could have an heir to bring him back to life if he ever died.

@@Marcustheseer That would've been way better
Or more accurately a Anti Sue
Never liked her anyways though because of that
The logic behind her in general is just dumb

I can't imagine Voldemort of all things, having enough of a compacity to hanky panky around
To me in the canon universe, he'd more than likely see that type of behaviour as beneath him
Especially considering he dropped almost all traces of humanity to become one of the most powerful wizards in the world
My biggest issue with the Cursed Child was that it retconned how time travel works in the HP universe.

She would have been just a tool to him and it might have brought her back to the good side or start her redemtion arc.
Well Voldemort, as a child, entering hogwarts was obsessed with finding out if his family were pure bloods and wanted to know if his father was written down in the registry for hogwarts
He made an orphan child to carry on his legacy and seek him out eventually bringing him back or killing off hary
It’s pretty self evident that she just did exactly what he did as a child when seeking out his father
The difference being her father(Voldemort) actually was an extremely powerful and successful wizard so she continued to seek him out
Where as Voldemort found out who his father was and realized he was just a muggle
But Voldemort knew that his offspring, if she was as smart and magically inclined, would seek him out as well or she would eventually have children or grandchildren who would
Why be so evil just to have it stop when you eventually die or go to prison forever? Continue the bloodline
Voldy probably just forgot the condom spell "condomos!"

@Allen Cabrera That's because we never SAW Nymphadora while she was pregnant...we DID see Bellatrix when she would have supposedly been pregnant when the trio was captured and taken to Malfoy Manor, and yet, no preggo Bella.
@Allen Cabrera actually in the Deathly Hallows, Voldemort is mostly abroad trying to track down Gregorovici and then Grindewald
More interesting story: Voldemort’s child is actually a nice person who keeps a snake sanctuary and will do your hair tips if you ask nicely.

1. have her be Voldemort's and Bella's daughter, OK, tolerable
She is terrified that her father is Voldemort, she finds the things he and her mother did disgusting and horrible(Bella was awful too)
6. Her birthday is in April or earlier, let's just say Bella had an early delivery(and she was conceived earlier too)
7. And, remember, this is fanfiction, this could never actually work out on the plot, J.K.R. would never make anything Voldemort-related good, that's nonsense🤣

Which is completely dumb. You'd think a dark lord would recruit from the house known for loyalty, and not the house of schemers and ambitiousness lol.
Every Star Wars fanfiction feels more canon than this
Voldemort having a daughter was one of the dumbest things ever. I always believed Voldemort to be "above" carnal pleasures. His quest for eternal life meant that he wouldn't even need heirs. Kings take this threat because they cannot live for ever and need succession. Voldemort had no intentions of dying and would have no desire for a succession line.

I also think it doesn't fit Cedric's personality to become a Death Eater because of ... humiliation?! EXACTLY what I thought and wanted to write as well
Yah that’s my thinking too. That at least makes some sense.
Bad guys don't do it for looks, especially the women. It's more about ideology, intelligence, and connection.
It's way hotter as an ugly bastard hentai when voldemort fucked bellatrix.
And turning the fanatical love of Bella into some lusty passion isn't like her (even less in the middle of the events going on during the Battle of Hogwarts😂...)
I think it would have been better (and more interresting) if Delphi THOUGHT she was Voldy's child.

What I don't get is that when they went back in time and managed to get Voldemort to win with Harry being killed, why didn't Albus cease to exist? Harry can't have kids if he's dead!
Also, Cedric becoming a Death Eater? Cedric was one of the nicest people in the entire franchise. A little humiliation wouldn't make him suddenly support Voldemort. Especially with how his father raised him. It's ridiculous.

That’s offensive to Wattpad writers
except its worse than some fanfiction
You mean on Spirit, Wattpad is WAY better
Basically Delphi wanted to do everything every true fan girl wanted to do
Save Cedric
that made my day
Allie Crown because of her I created an expression. And eight fan girl is someone who is obsessive. H meeting book 8.

That's good. Truthfully anything would be better than the so called canon information
Now i wanna write a fanfiction about this
That would've been cool but very cliched
That wouldn't make sense at all!! Firstly, do you know what Harry did to her Father! Secondly someone like Delphini doesn't have love in their hearts! Thirdly, she'd rather kill Harry than have a bonding experience with him. I'm pretty sure that she's like the female version of Voldemort considering she gained her Father's abilities and her powers itself are pretty much just like his. Honestly saying I don't mind if she actually got what she wanted. It's just Fictional.
I just want Cedric back, without him being evil (which he never was, and NEVER will be) [because he's my Ceddy❤]
Hope this is useful in some way.🙂
That said...
This gives Voldemort a bunch of things he would've wanted... a.) Status as the head of an ancient, noble, supposedly pureblood royal dynasty b.) A more extensive reach over all his conquests, as he can control them by proxy of his born and raised "heirs" as well as directly, extending his presence c.) Heightened and more permanently secure power over his conquests d.) Sows fear in would be traitors e.) Delivers on the legacy of Salazar Slytherin
Bellatrix is of course the perfect candidate to be his "Empress" and raise his future enforcers in this case.
Hope this helps explain how/why Voldemort would've paired with Bellatrix and wanted children.
unless... He didn't KNOW she existed!
*gasp*
All he had to go off of for parenting tricks is the stuff he saw the Dursleys do... so of course he's going to struggle a bit as a dad, especially when his son is best friends with Draco Malfoys kid and he doesn't know how to handle that.😂
Most characters are exactly as they are in the originals (McGonagall for example) others are done justice as adults (Draco for example) and the rest either have changed a bit because of time (it's been decades), circumstances (fathering, for Harry), or writing style changes (this is the big one... the fact that it's written like a play hurts CC, and I think it would be far better off written in novel style).
I'm a Star Wars fan and I detest The Last Jedi, if I could wipe that from canon... well, it's not up to me but you know...😂
Maybe he lusted for Bellatrix and Bella loved Voldemort so... Plus voldemort is a man. He has needs
I would rather go with the My Immortal fanction than believing that Voldemort even lowkey flirted with someone
He can't love, but he can enjoy pleasure or not? :P seems like he wouldn't care to force someone just for the sake of being cruel
